Since you have so many fans and subscribers, how about letting them work with you? If there are unit comparisons to be done like you mentioned, you can let other people help and present their results to you. Just tell them what you need and I'm sure it'll turn out great :)
Congratulations, well done :-D I think most of the age of empires hd players (and your viewers) played the original age of kings/the conquerors game 10 years ago and because they stick to a game so old there is not so much to worry about a decrease of interest. I don't have serious statistics, but it would not make much sense for me to pick this old game up if you are starting gaming right now. They are interested after 10 years, that tells a lot about the duration of interest. Also there was an idea I had two days ago, how about you found a group on steam? Of course you can't chitchat with every of your 5000 subs or make a lot of subscriber games with everyone so we could play together when you are not available. And since I am quite noobish compared to the online standard I want to improve my buildorders but without help from others I won't get far with it and the strangers in the lobby before the game starts are not that helpfull in this case. So the idea was to get people to get a little of discussion on and also I like the idea of making teamgames with people I had the chance to chat with and not only know a few seconds before the game starts. It gives me a chance to warn them what they have to expect, haha. It probably will only be interesting to only a minority of your viewers, but I would join it. Guys, please comment to see if it's an interesting idea :-D Greetings Picotesla
Wendy Prasna He must have, since q^n-8=c would make no sense. Then c would just be a different constant, and the expression would be logically equal to q^n=c.
Congrats on 5K, Spirit! I have a request that probably isn't too complicated, but it's on relics. Mainly being how long it takes to make 1 gold and how exactly the effect of multiple relics/Aztec team bonus affects the production. Either way, don't feel rushed to make this. Just keep making quality videos the standard that you're making them! ^^
I second that request. This is something that has been bugging me for a while (relic gold generation). Also congrats on 5k subscribers!! a rare channel where math is explained in AoE..
Why not make a Patreon account? I feel like it is the perfect solution for someone like you with a small but dedicated fan base, compared to ad revenue.
Daniel Mog The Patreon reward system sounds like it'll end up being something else that takes up quite a bit of time. My focus isn't on trying to make money, but on freeing up time to make better videos. I think Patreon makes sense for people who are trying to make a living off RU-vid and generate as much money as possible, which isn't what I'm trying to do :)
Spirit Of The Law I understand. Did you maybe considered taking Paypal donations? I just feel like with all due respect, you wont see a reasonable sum from the ads in order to achieve your goals. On a different topic, have you considered making a "total noob guide to online matches"? I started playing AOE2 after watching your videos, but I'm kind of lost in regards to build orders and etc. Anyway congratulations and keep up the great work!
Hi, I just wanted to say sorry about one of the comments I posted. I went on a little rage about how u put ads on the channel. In the same comment, I talked about quality>quantity. I see that u addressed my comment specifically in this video :). I owe u one so thx again, and sorry.
I don't mind skippable ads at all, Law. Sometimes if an ad is good enough I'll watch the whole thing, e.g. the Amazon Prime ad. Skippable ads incentivize marketers to entertain! So thank you for the quality content and congrats on 5000.
you sould try to play other games aswell. Not like CS:GO or LOL, but more like Civ 5 and hegemony and other funny stratergy games. those were just the first I could think about with many different civilizations.
Spirit Of The Law Congrats for your milestone. Hope you get more subscribers, but more Imp, you keep up with new questions and clear answers to them. Your best video till date would be the Palads vs Cavals trade off.
Nice channel. A WORD of advice. Stick to what made the channel great and unique and why we all came and watched your videos. The math situations and some siv stuff. I'm sure its hard making videos that a beginner and an experienced player will enjoy but know you have both in your following.
I know you dont like this but put out build order videos. because we are getting alot of new people with the steam sale i think putting out some basic build order videos would be very helpful ( Fast Castle, Drush, Flush, Drush to Fast Castle ect...
Can you do a video of which is the most efficient way to get to castle age? I tired with 20pop 13min to castle but afterward i dont have enough resources to build tc or 30pop 18mins.
man you deserve it!!!, very nice video, i still learn too much, i think i learn more when you just narrate your games. It will be awesome if you make some videos about how to counterattack each unit... and also talk about combos!!!
congratz!!!Did you download game on steam or some other site if its some other plz post here :) I downloaded the forgoten but Im mising the forgoten champing and some other things (I have new civs)
I have an idea for a video. Talk about the speed of the units. And the faster way to move a unit from point A to point B. I discovered a way to teletransport units in ao, using castles and ungarrison, kind of buggy but works
well i don't know what to say,i don't comment alot and my english is so bad but... i really love the channel, keep up the good work,i dont play the game so much because i study, but i do enjoy the good commentary,i like the idea of you asking us what do we want and that is a big factor here believe me so i cannot say more than thank you for this amazing channel
congraz!! I like the videos how they are. I think they are high quality and very helpful for a decent gamer. All these little strategies help me getting better at the game! keep it up!
I have age of empires 2 but i dont know how to play online. really I suck at that game even though i like the game.i would really love to play online with you. so please reply this comment on helping me.by the way love you videos
Nice work Spirit! Like you said in the video I haven't been able to play a game with you yet probably because I live in Australia so time zones are the problem but anyway keep up the awesome work Spirit.
Spirit Of The Law How about you make a comparison in the future. Here is the idea: compare the castle units of the civs, pointed who counters whom. For example: We know a jaguar warrior counters an eagle warrior (even it's not being a castle unit), but who wins a fight between a jaguar warrior and a Samurai? Who wins a fight between a teutonic knight and a Woad Raider? I think you got the idea. My idea is to keep it between the infantary only.
nhoobish yeah, I love it. It does actually feel like Risk in that it gets locked for a long time and has a lot of building up on borders, and then snowballs at the end. I wish I had a recording of a game that was a bit closer, though
Been here since near the beginning, and I would say quality has only gone up. Keep up the great work. (Sidenote: seeing analysis of other games sounds fine by me, as it is reasonable to not want to limit yourself to AoE)
Hey Spirit! Thanks for the great videos. Here is a question: Does repairing a building or a siege unit cost the same amount of resources per HP as creating a new one? Does it cost the same type of resources? E.g. does repairing a town center cost also stone? Does repairing a treb or a mongonel cost gold?
hey can i request that you do some full videos with casting with scenarios like siraks lord of the rings and diplo maps, i dont know if any other aoe youtubers do it and it woukd be great if you did
***** I think that's an awesome idea, and there's a few scenarios like Zombies, tower defence, Risk, and Lord of the Rings that I do really enjoy playing and would be cool to have a video explaining the general strategy of them. CBA is also really popular but all the games are "experts only" and "no noobs" so I have trouble even finding a game to join where I can learn how to play it. Maybe I won't cover CBA, but all the rest of them sound fun :)
Spirit Of The Law sounds awesome and if you needed someone to play lotr or risk with I'd love to join you. and about the CBA games Im not really to good at them but I just jump in and thats how I learned to play but thanks for replying and good luck for the future!
