In the USA they have a rating system UTQG and the number relates to tread wear, I think those Kumho are rated at 400 which is decent for a budget tyre, there is also another budget tyre with a rating of 420 called Toyo nano energy 3 here in UK. They are about the same price here, but they have even better ones in USA which might come to UK eventually, they are called starfire solaris (made by cooper) and have a rating of 520 and once again the price is similar. You can get ratings of 800 on yokohama, continentals etc... but they are more than double the price so not worth it. Nice review, they are on my shortlist for the future, cheers.
I did drive that distance, as shown by the video, but I forgot t changed them all after 1 year, so they did actually 38'500 miles with about 4-5 mm left of tread, which allowed me to pass an MOT, but I had to change them for an advanced vehicle test. I reckon I could have got 50,000 miles off them before winter.
I have exactly the same tyres...they are the biggest bang for your buck and they are very good on any weather except snow , ice or very cold weather ( you need winter tyres for extreme winter conditions) !!!
