501st Legion AT-RT With ARF Trooper & TX-21 Tactical Droid Review 

Good to see a RU-vidr in the community like yourself appreciate these underrated characters.

In my opinion, the Tactical Droid is one of the few TCW animated figures that can also work in a realistic display due to its non human features/proportions. I’ve also seen people use the TCW Cad Bane with realistic figures.

Looks great definitely needs weathering Hasbro should do it. This vehicle is a favourite especially with the amount of us who like the 501st. That droid looks cool as well. What do you know miraculously it had joints on the elbows!! 😂

We never saw the Yoda packaging on sets like this in the States. Great find! Really enjoy your reviews of older items like this.

Dream on buddy. Not a chance Hasbro will make an AT-RT. Perhaps a few years down the road. As I've learned, it is nice to wish. :)

Great video Tim. What a great set this is. Would love to see a £40 mini-rig line including vehicles like this with a figure. Lots of speeders we need, Maul, Dooku, Cobb Vanth. Could really evoke to Kenner mini-rigs, even re-imagine some of them.

Little sad how they will never make any more figures from the show with their original animated style and TVC ones don't feel the same as this toy line did, so much nostalgia with this line.

Hey BB. QFNWs Ask Bossks Bounty. Hasbro, for the most part, seems to be hitting home runs with the four packs of figures. Regardless, there always seems to be a percentage of the community who wants different things in those packs. Ex: different troop combos. Hasbro tries off the wall things like the selfie series. Why not try a build a pack? Probably for an extra fee, you can build your own trooper four pack with whatever version of clone or storm trooper you want. I can’t imagine it’s hard for them to repaint different colored stripes on a white clone figure. If you want four 501st in there…no issue! 2 shock troopers and two 312th? No problem! What do you think about something like this?

Great video tim. It really would be great if they re-made the AT RT. But even more than that i been thinking about how Hasbro likes to re-release figures, why not some of the previous creature's. I missed that Taunton from about 3 or 4 years back. I really wish they would re-release that. Its not only really expensive on the secondary market but also very hard to find. They must not have made many. Hell they could even do a rancor. They must still have the molds. The could make them Hasbro pulse, or Amazon exclusives that way they could see how the pre orders go. Man i would love to see this.

Besides the obviously missing articulation of a TVC-level AT-RT, this shows how the weathering and paint apps of TVC-quality items makes a huge difference in separating kids toys from collector-grade items.

With the arm joints and paint applications that tactical droid would be a $21.99 Target exclusive if released single carded today.😊

Very Cool. Footbote on the packaging it was the follow up to the Movie Heroes line as the Phantom Menace was released in theatres in 3D in 2011, and Attack of the Clones was planned to be released in theaters in 3D in 2012. But prior to it being released, George sold Lucasfilm to Disney and they cancelled everything. The 3D release, the Clone Wars animated series, even Lucasarts got shut down. At any rate that was going to be the packaging for the AOTC 3D release, and Revenge of the Sith was also planned for a 3D movie release as well. So Hasbro quickly had to shift gears away from that packaging which is why they are so hard and expensive to find.

I'd like to see the ARF Trooper, Tactical Droid and AT-RT in TVC.

This is a pretty nice set, you get a nice vehicle for the 501st collection, a tactical droid to add to a Geonosis collection, and an ok addition to the 501st (if you get one in good condition). To my knowledge this was the final item in the clone wars line to release in the US. The final wave of single carded figures only made it to countries outside the US before the lines cancelation. Here’s an explanation for the strange yellowing. Near the end of the CW line (2012-2013) figures packed with vehicles had their quality greatly reduced in comparison to the standard releases. The arf trooper that came in this particular set was made with a type of plastic that seems to react badly to the black paint. The vast majority of that figure suffer from it.

Now this brings up an interesting thought… could someone here try the Clone Wars line Lightning Squadron ARF trooper (Razor/Stak from the Ryloth episodes) helmet with the new clone body?

I managed to get the motorised walking version from "star wars man" in aflecks palace in Manchester for £25, I'd love this 501st version, it looks awesome 👍🏻. Thanks again Tim for the star action figures prints, they're great 👍🏻
