Thanks Dan for another great video. Bailey sure does love you..I love how she stands next to you with her paw on your shoulder.. Hahaha. She's a cutie.
Had one shipper after loaded, said these boxes go in your truck, I told them the truck is my home, ne freight in my home, argument started called our customer relations department they told shipper they will send another truck. Solution was get your junk off my trailer, they put packages on trailer no tarp needed, from this I learned some shippers are crazy, pull toy here
I disagree with putting the extra tires on the road in the rain, that would let the trailer hydroplane EASIER. The more tires would equal more floatation = trouble. Basically your tires have less bite on the road especially with a light load.
I got a chuckle when Bailey hopped up and put her paw on your shoulder then you both looked back and forth in the same direction. Good video. Have a safe trip. 😎👍🏻
Give em hell Dan. Keep on trucking DONT look back. I’m picking up reload going back to Massachusetts I’m in Delaware. Just got off my ten hour reset. HOLLAR loud
I'd forget about having that small box (if it wasn't on the "Dorsey", extra plug) & probably find it at the next reload, lol. Should have put it in a plastic grocery bag & charged a tarping fee, lol. Nice video, you really work at it, thanks. Take care.
Maybe the kid who said put it inside the truck wasn’t really thinking and was concerned about the little box blowing off because he didn’t realize you could strap it down. The inside cab space is all dedicated anyway, it’s not like a UPS delivery truck.
good 4 u on that box. i had a car tow flatbed business, i had many customers tell me 'just put this inside ur cab', even had 'my dog will ride inside with u'. NOPE i dont know whats inside that box, etc. a customer could always say i took whatever out of it, worse DOT enforcement finds its illegal. i'm out to dry. dog was one of the worst.
Dan, you are right about Ohio Turnpike rest areas, nice parking, good food. Back when I drove every other one had a shower for truckers, do they still fo that?? Also, something in the cab to me is a safety issue. Stay safe and keep those videos coming.
Great vid as usual, long time viewer from UK and good music, have never been able to fault you on your choice of music, we seem to have similar tastes, keep it up.
Hello Dan. Just curious if you heard of "TDS" fuel card system?. They are a stand up legitimate business and you can save some serious cash on fueling your rig, just thought I'd share that with you. Take care, thanks for sharing your travels with us.🇺🇸✌️
i once made the mistake of thinking 1 gal of gasoline would last as long as 1 gal of diesel. boy was i in for a rude awakening. instead a short trip with last fuel stops i ended up with a lot of fuel stops. ate into the assets for my travel to my new job, by the time i got there i was almost broke. never again. lol
Dan, have you tried using deck screws like they use when they build wooden decks, instead of nails to attach your wooden spacers to the trailer? If you have a cordless drill, you can reuse the screws.
I always told the customer. If it doesn’t wear underpants it doesn’t go in my cab. We had to carry customers but I never did if any of them were actually wearing or not. I did make one young teenager pull his track pants up before I would let him in one time
Love your videos, was wondering if you had any plan to wire up switches in the cab for both trailer axles. I did mine through the 2nd 7-way cord and can flip them up or down with out getting out. Thanks
I'm with you on the carton bit freight goes on the trailer not in the cab "aye" if you think about it you only have a minor incident and lay the truck on its side at low speed even if you have a loose item in the cab with you ya gunna get hurt "aye" stay safe Dan "RB" downunder
I quit a job for making me put stuff in the cab. Extremely unsafe. I wouldn't do it and quit the next week after I found a job. They were mad and didn't understand why I didn't want a bunch of loose plumbing fittings in the cab. One slide under the brake pedal and somebody can die. I don't need that in my life.
So Dan how often do you have to go through the front steering and suspension components to replace worn items? Like the ball joints or tie rod ends? Steering box adjustments?
