Talking about blowing up Your engine I recently had a burned valve. Technician couldn’t determine the cause of the damage from my modifications. I know you mentioned poor fuel ⛽️ low on oil or mapping can cause this. Perhaps it was the piggy back I have.

Ive been weighing up which car to buy.. im going for a 2ndhand dealer car. A 2016 golf clubsport 40 edition/anniversary cost abt 34k and 2015-16 golf r is abt 32k to 35k.. i duno which one to go for.. ive been liking the clubsport cuz in Australia we didnt get the S version

Hi guys, love these videos - inspiration! I have just bought a top spec VW Arteon R (same engine as Golf R) though 280BHP standard. I’ve ordered a RaceChip Plugin Unit to give me 325HP (had the same system on my old BMW 428i and worked a treat). Does anyone else know how far I can take my Arteon in terms of BHP and run it as a daily / no risk of blowing an engine? I’m in Sydney Australia, Money is no issue at all so if anyone knows what I should do or who to talk to, that would be great. With AWD these VW’s are incredible at handling the power. I may be bias but the Arteon is seriously good looking!!

I have my head on a mk7 golf r but after watching this I'm thinking golf gti clubsport instead but again dont want to suffer from loss of traction in the wet and not being able to put the power down on the front wheels where as the golf r you dont get that problem. I've only ever had rwd on a Lexus is200 turbo and now 350z. Still undecided! Golf gti clubsport or golf r?

540HP/FWD/Manual loses to a 540HP/AWD/DSG all day long... don’t let this guy tell you any different...

I remember driving the mk5 gti, damn was it fun! i drove it the same day it hit the dealer. Back then it was decently fast. At that time I had a dc5r and tbh I felt that the GTI is a better dd, than my Honda. Its an all around car for the city, great little toy.

As an older guy (46🤕) I'm probably more of a traditionalist, and will always be a big fan of a manual gearbox. I know DSG is the new norm, but the driving experience with shifting yourself, the overall joy of true control is king! Thanks for this. Cheers from 🇨🇦

That much power on a FWD is just throwing money down the drain. I don't see much point after 300 hp. If you want more, RWD / AWD.

Man I still come here and watch this. This was such motivation to me back then, I sold my gti two years ago after finally upgrading to a golf R block and big turbo, fuel system etc Wound up blowing head gasket during tuning and sold the car…. Been hurt ever since but I keep re watching this video to eventually get back into another gti Or R next time !

540 is too much 500 is perfect for this car. I would say go full flex fuel rock around 400 on 93 and 500 on e85 also the jokes on everyone els the e888 between the gti and r are the same the turbos what's different
