I've watched this video like 4 times and every time I realize I'll never forgive chat for not choosing chungoose jr. as the champion.

I know absolutely nothing about pokemon but around 34:00 where the remaining pokemon chart got condensed and it was mentioned that people were betting on which would be last, I happened to eye that purple yellow cat thing with the floppy arms and decided, for no reason, to put my vote on it. Which then ended up being the winner. So that's a surprisingly neat thing that happened lol. Very upset Chungoose Jr did not win the bracket for 100.

I’m halfway through the video, and honestly? Bringing everyone together in your community through Wonder Trading is one of the most sincere and lovely things ever. Who cares if some of them are hacked? It gave you an opportunity to interact with your community in a way that felt both important to you, and in a way that people could enjoy. Amazing stuff, Absol!

when i was younger I used to do a lot of trades in my omega ruby, and the day i found out pokemiles existed i had enough to buy 600+ rare candies

This deserves so much more attention, this is a surprisingly heart-warming story. So many people coming together for something so stupid... it's strangely beautiful.

I'm so sad I missed this. I just started replaying OR and it broke my heart to see how dead the GTS and Wondertrades are compared to what they were in 2015. I really hope you do another wonder trade-related challenge in the future, because it really seems like you succeeded in bringing back the spirit of what it used to be, if not for just a little while.

Ok but this challenge shows how well people can work together for a common goal and that's really nice Also i remember back in like 2014-17 how people would routinely breed 5-6iv mons specifically to clear out wondertrade from route 1 catches

Frankly, the non-gaming footage in the Before the First Gym level 100 gauntlet is what kept me around this channel in the first place. Never doubt adding that content whenever possible.

Your town is my hometown! I haven’t been back in several years due to family estrangement, so every time I see you show footage of the city and I recognize different stores and landmarks and places I miss, it makes me feel very happy and helps me with the loss of having to leave my community. Thank you Absol, it means more to me than you can ever know.

What an amazing story!

Wonder trade is seriously one of my favorite additions to the Pokémon series. It's just so insanely ridiculous, once you get past the constant magikarps and fletchings. In the 3Ds games I'd enjoy wonder trading shinies! Especially in x, cuz I liked to see how many ppl would give a 'nice' in return (not many 😔)

Mienshao has been my favorite Pokémon since I started playing Pokémon in the 5th gen, so I’m so happy to see them get some recognition. God bless the Kung fu weasel

I guess, this time, you could say WE raised this Pokemon to level 100 in an unconventional way or environment because, more or less, we're all crazy... What a great idea for a community effort this was, and a great video we got out of it! Glad I could be a small part in it (9:30), and thanks again for always making such fun videos and reminding me of everything I love about Pokemon.

I just wanna say that this brings back so many good memories of when I used to wonder trade for hours hoping I would get certain Pokémon. (I even got excited for shinies even though I knew they were hacked.)To bring a community together like this is something honestly so wonderful to witness.

The gauntlet was pretty impressive but getting Gusten to play something other than Gen 4 for a change was a miracle

New challenge: Reach level 100 on a pokemon using the item duplication glitch from Japanese Diamond or Pearl (double battle, have a pokemon hold an mball and transform into enemy pokemon, then thief on it). You can only use exp from the battles, and you MUST end up with +1 mball after every battle, meaning no rare candy duping

Matt makes the most refreshing pokemon videos. It's casual (although tedious) and easy to relax to. Tiny snippets of his life outside games is also nice to see as it offers something new to see

Watching two Kinglers fight IRL was the best part of this

Very glad to have contributed several mons to this gauntlet (my most notable contribution being :) the whooper, of course). These were some of the first streams of yours I watched, and everything about them, from trading with the same people, to the cursed stream music, and silly nicknames, really made everything feel like some of the most fun I’ve had with others playing Pokémon in a very long time. I think that’s why I don’t mind if this challenge isn’t that much a grand feat or anything because the experience alone was worth more than that. Sure, Gen 6 is flawed in a lot of ways, but god damn if Wonder Trading isn’t one of my favorite features in any Pokémon game. Wonderlockes are always a great time, even if you’re basically guaranteed an inevitable Zigzagoon you’ll never use
