Great video Thor! I love these guitar "journeys" and how they end up and I have done plenty myself! It really is the journey that's fun in deciding what you have and what you have to buy and wondering how it turns out. Well this looks and sounds fabulous and once again your playing is so dynamic and stellar. Keep shining your light in to the world. Brian
Thanks man, yes I love the process of finding the right parts and the challenges along the way. And thanks for mentioning my playing, and for your support. Really appreciate it. Cheers!
Is it wrong of me to always fast forward to the end to see the master play some blues first, then go back and watch the video from the beginning? Man , I felt Clapton and Page and I dunno what else in that jam... that guitar unleashed something I think.. loved it!
Wow, thank you 😎 I guess I got a bit inspired from your recent blues jam DW. Maybe we need to do a collab one day 🙃 You might be right about the guitar unleashing something. It's really inspiring to play that thing. Cheers!
Thanks, and good luck with building your kit guitar. I think I would find the paint job most challenging. Would love to hear how it went when you're done 😊 Cheers!
Beautiful stuff Thor! For your tone and volume pots I recommend VIPots, it’s the best there is. They will brighten the tone of you guitar and give it a great taper when you roll off the volume knob. They’re almost identical to the Centralabs pot used in the original Gibson from the 50s.
Wow! what a beautiful guitar which sounds killer! Those burstbuckers are good, do you know the year of manufacturing?.....damn, I have always wanted a goldtop, now I have to have one! Cheers, Thor!
Hi Marcello, thanks 😊I'm afraid I didn't get any info of the year of the Burstbuckers, just that they came off a CS '58 RI. If you decide to go for a CS '57 Goldtop we can make a youtube episode where we compare it to my project guitar 😁 Cheers!
