with the temps way below freezing and the ground hard as rock, only a rear blower is required to relocate deep snow. I am amazed at the L2501's ability to handle deep volumes of snow with this blower.

now that weapon saves time, getting out on Kubota would be a good stress relief too i imagine. Thanks for sharing

I haven't had 1 bad minute on that tractor. Friday when I get home I'll get to run the mower finally for the 1st time this year

having that loader frame off frees up some horsepower as well. at least it seems to on my tractor. love that snow blower that thing rocks!

Hey buddy, and yes it does! It's crazy how fast we got snow, and how much, then how fast it's going away. We had -45 degree windchill readings just a week ago, and now they're talking 50s this weekend. I will also say that my box blade works so awesome on lighter amounts of snow, or like now, scraping the packed snow on the driveway down to a bare minimum so when then sun melts it, it quickly gets to the gravel and speeds up the thawing process. (ANGLE OF THE DANGLE! LOL) My heart still goes out to you buddy, Ol Daisy Girl's memory lives on in that beautiful video you made. I've watched it several times with a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. We love them so much and they leave a terrible void when they pass on. Keep the faith my friend.

Fun to watch, thanks for posting! I'm picking a new 2501 up on Monday, so this is a very long weekend. I'm trading up from a 2920 and the 2501 has a LOT more torque, which is really what is needed on a tractor.
@kd1010163
@kd1010163 2 года назад
Use the bx, b, L, etc before the number, by your numbers your going from 29hp to 25hp. Going from a B to an L, a B2920 to a L2501.
@wireedm1
@wireedm1 2 года назад
@@kd1010163, yes, you're right! from a B2920 to an L2501. Got it a couple of days ago and I'm very pleased with it. Definitely more torque than the B2920. It's my understanding that the L2501 is actually a 34hp engine that has the RPM's reduced by 200 to get it down to the 25hp needed to duck under the particulate filtration mandate. Dealer mentioned that it's just a screw adjustment to increase the RPM's back up.

That tractor may only have 19hp at the pto but its has a large engine for the amount of hp it puts out so it generates lots of torque in relation to hp so it would have no problem with that blower...you could have the Bx2680 which has the same hp but a smaller engine and wouldn't run that blower like your L2501...they are one of the best tractors on the market and the biggest seller for Kubota...one thing I would do is watch how you have the blower adjusted because it would appear your blower is tipped a bit too far forward...in any case she works like a charm!!..great video!!
@ironheadbiker
@ironheadbiker 3 года назад
Yeah I agree. It's the best bang for the buck. I believe it's the same engine they used in the older 33 or 35hp kubotas. And yeah I adjust the top link depending if I'm in my back yard on the grass, or on my gravel driveway, then it depends how much snow pack is built up.

I just purchased a AGROTREND 72" blower for the L-2501.Not my first choice in the size category,but its like brand new and hardly used.I could'nt pass up on a private deal,1 owner.I'm hoping my tractor can handle it,I'm pretty slow and cautious.I guess the first bite is the hardest on the machine,then half bites if need be.Bought my l2501 in 2015 new,great little tractor,trouble free.300 hrs on it.

I feel the concern you have, as I did. After a year of my 68" I can say with confidence you're going to be absolutely fine with it. Like with mine, when it's deep and in taking a full width, I just go slow, but it walks right thru any amount. The L2501 even handles the weight on my hills WITHOUT my loader on, so it handles like a race car into very tight spots. Keep me informed on how it works, but with my experience with my 68", another 4" wouldn't be noticed in performance. I also love my 3" wheel spacers, they make those bigger heavier implements a lot less noticeable.

Great video but don't use one chains on one set of tires on a 4x4 tractor. Screws up the transfer case eventually.

PTO snowblower sure beats shoveling. I'm so wimpy I got a tractor with a cab AND inverted snowblower. It's been fantastic to me.

I like those inverted blowers but up on my hill I just get too much drifting.

How long and how long of stoke did you buy for the deflector?

Check my *48 video, I go into detail about the actuator. But it's 12" eye to eye when closed with a 5" stroke.

Yeah this is my 1st year with it, and I sure picked the right year to buy one! There was a huge back order on the landpride blowers so I went a little larger and got this MK Martin. It is built like a tank.

Ironheadbiker yeah, that thing looks like a beast. I just started putting up some videos myself, I’m kinda new at the whole process both the tractor, and making videos. I hate being old. Lol

Those spacers really widened it out. Thing looks sweet!
@ironheadbiker
@ironheadbiker 3 года назад
Thanks, and I agree! I think it actually looks the way it should now. They just seem narrow from the dealer. Not just my Kubota, but many sub and compact tractors appear that way. I have several short but steep varying slopes on my property and they're always on my mind when on my L2501, these spacers have been very noticeable in the "feel" in stability

As someone who has a 60” Meteor rear PTO snowblower • Your tractor and rear pto snow blower sees to do the job with no issue even with this ‘heavy ‘ snow and throws it really well (and far) • I’ve updated my older model pto snow blower by adding in an impeller spill off plate which should make it more efficient (can see at 1:47 in this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cEYWNwNrqVY.html ) • Thanks so very much for posting and sharing Ironheadbiker!! All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸

Yeah it really does work great. They really are well built. I like how that plate you added really adds to the performance. The L2501 is only 25hp rated BUT it also is 100 cubic inch engine, I believe it's their old 35hp engine they just advanced the timing to cut the hp to get it under the emissions requirement. But it never ceases to amaze me at the work it can do.

Great video. Where did you get the tire chains from? Thanks
@ironheadbiker
@ironheadbiker 2 года назад
Thanks. I made them myself with my old semi truck chains. Had to widen them and lengthen them, little elbow grease with a chain tool, but otherwise they were free. I added center links to act as a cleat

Thanks again. Yeah they really made a difference. I wish the r14 tires were available when I voyeur my tractor, these r4's are just not very good on snow and wet grass. The chains are a little loose, but on a tractor that doesn't go over 10mph, they're really great. And combined with the 3" spacers on each side, the larger implements i use feel much more sure footed.

That is a homemade electrical chute rotation. I believe the motor I used was a electric seat motor. It has good torque
