This is the second time this week I’ve done barrel keys. First time they were duplicates though. I rarely do them either.

Has anyone found a source for the actual cutter? I have contacted a couple of sellers of the tool and they don't sell just the cutter. I think after cutting a few keys the cutter will wear out and you'll end up with a nice paper weight.

I have never found the cutter. But I also haven’t looked. Cheap enough to just buy another one probably. This cutter is 6-7 years old. Maybe more. I’m still using it.

Keep forgetting to pick one of these up. I have an original Scotsman but I rarely see tubular keys. I've wanted a handheld that I could just throw in the van. I notice yours is the 7.8mm. Would that be the standard for most small bore keys?

I have a Scotsman duplicator but I hardly ever do tubular keys either. This thing has been great for code cutting. If you’re in the U S 7.8mm is the one you want. I have occasionally seen the smaller diameter locks but I have no clue where you’d even find the blanks.
