I drove a 2009 389 daycab with the hard mount stack holders and the air ride cab didn’t move an inch coupled with the 46k air trak and by the end of the day my back was broke worse than any cabovers I drove back in the 70’s. I hope those flex pipes behind the guards really flex to give a good ride. Other than that it’s nice to see that someone else still likes the horns on the roof. No outside sun visor?
The doors look like the doors on the Coronados....... what's up with all the blue Petes.......trade ins?......I like the fact the steps are the same....nice the lower exhaust pipe is 7"......
Looks like some of those Blue 389’s of Western Distributing are Used and some are are New, too bad Western Orders those with the Junk Paccar Motors. They refuse to Order Cummins Motors after a Bad Batch of Big Cams and Cummins Refusing to Stand Behind the Motor Problems that they had in the 70’s. They use to Order Cat Motors Prior to 2010 and then went to Paccar Motors along with some Volvo and International Lonestar.
@@moondog3162 Oh I guarantee you it is a Hard ReSale with those Paccars. They use to sell All of their Own Inventory and Never Traded back in, now it is about 50/50. But, Sadly they are Not what they use to be Trucking Companies Wise. They use to NEVER have a Problem Selling their Own Trucks from their Own Sale Lot. They are like Most Big Companies though Selling 3-5 Year Old Inventory with 350-450,000 Miles on them, and Most of those Paccars have already had some Motor Work done to them. Yet all of these companies will say that these New Motors are the Most Reliable Motor that they have EVER Produced! I had a Cummins Rep about 5 Years ago tell me that the X15 was the Most Reliable Motor that Cummins has EVER Built, MORE Reliable than the Cummins Big Cam & N14 Motors! Sorry, the Reliability of these Newer Motor has gone SO FAR Backwards that we are back to 1950-60 Reliability with Major Motor Work being done by 300-400,000 Miles. Not like it was in the Late 90’s-Mid 2000’s when you were Almost Guaranteed to have 1,000,000 Miles before anything Major had to be done to them. Depending on the Motor you might have had to put a Few Injectors in but Other than that they had Great Reliability up 1,000,000-1,200,000 Miles.
