Intro to the end videos of the series in which I make reference to moments in the foregoing interview (Parts 2, 3, 4 of series) with Sallie (INTJ) and CJ (INFP) in which I think the workings of their respective Jungian cognitive functions were in evidence.
::::::::::: SECTION HIGHLIGHTS ::::::::::::::
This one mostly consists of opening, contextualizing remarks with a side of anecdotal example re: a typical characteristic INTJs are known for.

Enid,you always give me so much in your videos that I don't know where to start (or end Haha). I really don't see INTJs as being arrogant (INTJs despise arrogance). I certainly see many of them (myself included) coming across as being arrogant,but I think it has more to do with their immaturity,than natural self (the way they feel). I could be biased,but that is the last think I want. I will happily admit every INTJ weakness I have and want to improve that. I see the same in other INTJs. One thing I noticed is that we tend to be a little slow to grasp the importance of other strengths,like emotions. I think healthy INTJs are extremely humble (Georges St-Pierre ,Elon Musk,Kenton from "RewildUniversity (RU-vid channel)...) and many people might not even realize they are INTJs if they get too wrapped up in MBTI dogma. Personality typing is a continuum and although each type will share the same "core" traits for their type,there are many factors that can make them appear much different. These are the people that are difficult to type at first glance. I am not too bad at typing people (especially intuitive types),but it is unmistakable when I see an INTJ. I don't realize instantly,but it doesn't take long to see the clear patterns once I hear them talk for a bit. Putin and Snowden are definitely INTJs and I don;t see the arrogance in them either. The epitome of arrogance is Donald Trump (it turns my stomach just listening to the crap that comes out of his mouth),most likely an ESTP (maybe J). Enid,if you ever get to really know an INTJ,I don't think you would ever see them as arrogant.I think you would see them as very genuine. Snowden might be an extreme example,but he gave up everything (his freedom) to stand by his values of what is right. Elon Musk could make more money in far less risky ventures,but I think he has a genuine concern to contribute to the betterment of (future) humanity. I see a slight smugness with all intuitive types(maybe all types,I'm just more familiar with intuitives),but most get a pass because they appear "softer" (more personable)than typical INTJs. Arthur Arcturus,another INTJ RU-vidr is more like the stereotypical INTJ and he definitely comes across as being arrogant,but if you watch him,he really isn't that arrogant. He appears to be arrogant because his social intelligence is pathetic,although he is very intellectually intelligent. I think this type of INTJ might stand out more and seem more obvious. I see no reason why this wouldn't apply to all types and their stereotypes. Enid,you are hardly the stereotypical ENFP ,because you possess very strong analytical thinking. I think balance is much more important that being great at only one strength. John Nash was a brilliant mathematician,but he went insane,because his emotional side was all but nonexistent. Some INTJs certainly focus too much on their strengths and they are the more arrogant INTJs for sure,but I can spot them much sooner than the INTJs I mentioned above,so maybe others also see the more obvious INTJs (any type really) and miss the not so obvious ones. Knowing this makes me more careful to realize the nuances in other types as well. I hope I don't sound arrogant,because I genuinely want to give you a candid picture of how my mind works. I think one of the biggest misunderstanding other types might have with INTJs is seeing them as dismissive or stubborn,when really they have already contemplated the perspective of your argument and concluded it wasn't valid. That doesn't mean the INTJ isn't wrong and they are much more careful in not being wrong as they mature,but the good news is that INTJs hold all truths as tentative and will gladly change their views if you can show them with a logical argument. I personally will thank people whenever they can show me to be wrong,because the truth is what matters most,maybe to a fault. Believe it or not,but this tangent wall of text is related to your video. The connections are much clearer in my mind than I could ever convey outwardly. I understand things in entire concepts (with multiple connections to other concepts and other concepts and ....). I think this is why INTJs tend to be so parenthetical in writing,because they feel the need to clarify everything. I always appreciate your videos Enid Thank You,Gord.

How curious that you would write all that, not having seen the video.

I did see the video. I may have had a few drinks beforehand too. :)

I see. In that video I talk about how it is often not arrogance behind what is coming off to many as such. Elsewhere (besides in my interview with Sallie and C.J.) I talk about having known several INTJs. As well, an extremely pathological a-hole has been spoofing the crap out of my subscriber base and has been playing dollies with all kinds of fake user i.d.s he's made up -- often out of other real users' videos and materials he's ripped off. Those factors put together made me suspicious of your answer. Sorry about that. Thanks for the one above an the others lately.

Enid, that explains my wondering of, "why so few comments" on one of your 3 month old videos, Especially since you improved the A/V quality of your recent videos (the substance was always there). For me it isn't necessarily what people say,rather the nuances I pick up. At 3:24 of your video you said,"just kidding",but there is always a hint of truth when people (myself included)say that. It is never one instance,instead a pattern sets off my Ni,so there is more to it (a combination of everything I have heard you say that is related) than just what you said at 3:24. I understand why people tend to see INTJs in that light and I don't really blame them (you). There are some bad eggs in all types and those are the ones that will stand out to us (so we have to be careful). My argument was only an attempt to convince you,not condemn you in any way. I really believe that a person must (intimately) know an INTJ to really "know" an INTJ. I would place the blame on INTJs for that. It's complicated,but the simplest way I can describe most of the reason,is: "anything you say can and will be used against you (especially when so many people misunderstand you)". I am sure that INTJ's greatest fear of becoming vulnerable,has much to do with it. I think this is also the reason why INTJs tend to love ENFPs so much. They are the one type where INTJs can feel comfortable being vulnerable. It opens so much up when we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable,but like everything for INTJs,they can't force it or fake it,it has to be genuine for them to accept it. ENFPs have eyes where you can see into their soul. I think once an ENFP really knows someone,they can read them like a book. ENFJs are pretty good at it too,but not like ENFPs. I think what I am trying to say Enid,is if I can see that you have a slight disdain (I'm only saying slight) for INTJs,then so too will other INTJs you interact with and they won't be very receptive of you if they sense that. They will sense it. Maybe INTJs aren't the best at reading all emotions,but they sure know when someone is pissed at them (doesn't like them...). Especially from an ENFP where their eyes say all. I know I said this before in another comment,but It's not just your video and audio quality that has improved,.You improved as a person and I find that admirable when anyone works to improve their self,because it isn't easy and many people don't care to even try. I don't know how to explain it exactly,I just sensed it when I watched a few of your recent videos. I really appreciate the effort you put into making your great videos. Happy new year, Gord

Enid, I would like to add something which you caused me to "realize" while re-watching your video. I might have "known" it,but that isn't the same as realizing something. I usually agree with pretty much everything you say and from my (innate) perspective there is no need to say much about what is already correct (true,perfect,whatever...),but then I go and "focus" on 1 or 2 things (in great detail) in which I might not completely agree with you (only for the sake of the truth) and not consider to at least equally comment on the positive. I can see how that would be taken to be pessimistic and even judgmental. I think the reason I do this is because I see the truth as needing no adjustments (other than me being vigilant in that the truth matches external reality,without any personal bias). INTJs want to improve everything (it is automatic,not conscious),so they do tend to focus on the flaws,but they certainly don't see the realization of flaws as a negative thing. On the contrary,they see it as a positive,because nothing can be improved upon if the shortcomings aren't noticed. Yeah,INTJs are nit picky bitches,but we really don't mean it like that. It really is meant to be positive,but we need to work on realizing what it means to others and thus,be more personable in our delivery.
