5G autopilot buses equipped with 5G network and AI systems are in trial operation in Zhengzhou, China for over two months. Follow Xinhua journalist to find out how different the intelligent buses are from traditional ones.
China is futuristic and I am proud to have such an advanced country in my neighbourhood. Keep going guys, China's innovative approach is more than a case study. Love you China💕❤
I sure appreciate the person making the comments. She must have spent a lot of time preparing and did a great job for a non-native speaker of English. Great work! And congratulations, China, on the breakthroughs in 5G.
Strange, brainless people live in this world. If you think 5G is safe for your brains, wait till you get tumors and cell damage. Let's see if you will still say congratulation China. Ignorance is bliss my friend. 🙄
Wait, a remote pilot is just as bad as a an onboard pilot but with latency (lag time) added in. The real advances in Tactical Aerial Combat will come with Autonomous Artificial Intelligence Aircraft. AI thinks faster and reacts faster than any 'animal' piolot, and electronic can withstand the maximum G forces that the plane's structure can withstand, which would liquefy the human animal pilots. Also, because of this greater G force tolerance the AI planes are more likely to evade enemy fire and dodge missiles (missiles are engineered for maximum speed but that that restricts their turn radius... it is easier for a Bullfighter to step out of the way of a charging bull then one that approaches at a trot).
@@wastxyz Hi Mohamed. Yeah, I would guess that the first thing they would do would be to set up a current tactical fighter to be an autonomous weapons system, BUT, those planes were built around having a human pilot and all of their specifications are limited at that level (why build a plane that can pull more than 10 G Forces if that would kill the pilot. Even the very size of the planes are keyed on the size of the pilot and his control panel and his control interfaces. Really, a purpose built autonomous fighter could be built to withstand 5 times the G forces and could be built to be much more compact. Even more aerodynamic: think about the unnecessary drag causes by those bulging windscreen bubbles. Really, autonomous tactical fighters could be made small enough where a specially fit cargo plane could dump out a squadron of them once within range of their target area, and after the mission the planes could come back and attach themselves to a tether tow line to be taken back to base. Small and inexpensive the autonomous tactical fighters could use small economy missiles to shoot down enemy planes, or be fitted with a few 20 mm cannons to do their own dirty work up close, or just ram important targets. The F16 is a pig of an airplane compared what a purpose built Autonomous Tactical Fighter could be.
@@setknowledge2495 Hi Set Knowledge. You must be using a bad translator app because in English "chinese president call robots no need you fools" is a nonsense phrase. Whenever using a translator app it is best to translate it back and see if it still makes sense.
I try to guess how it works: 1. Remotely controlled, either by human or computer. 2. Have some automated function: self parking & self charging. 3. Connected with surrounding devices (IOT), like: traffic lights. Has plenty areas to improve, but I think the most important is: automated collision avoidance, so accidents can be prevented and probably it will make the authority allow the bus to be completely driverless.
All auto-pilot bus have a operator at this moment, it's the Chinese safest regulation. China has no need to rush to implement total auto-pilot, they are way ahead of the pack in any case.
@@thewiseone7286 even without backup driver on the bus, it is not autopilot, but remotely controlled bus using 5G connection (see point 1 of my previous comment). my previous comment didn't mention autopilot, btw.
@@user-hv4ky5kt2x The word autopilot is used every time in the video. The remote control is used when the bus asks for control which can be done via 5G, this acts as a safety measure in case there is a need. Not all autopilot buses will ask for control at the same time.
@Ak k absolutely not. this one is for very limited case, probably even for pre defined route (maybe they have to reprogram the bus if the route changed).
@Ak k I think the scenario is to have "production grade" remotely controlled vehicle using 5G connection. Then when the technology allowed, the one who control the vehicle is computer (AI), combining on board cameras, IOT, and BeiDou data. So, it's very different approach in aiming level 5 autonomy. Maybe kinda "I Robot" like (if I am not mistaken?). Edit: I have to emphasize that the bus is remotely controlled, it have no tesla-like computer onboard.
Fifteen years ago, the West laughed at Chinese people for not knowing how to make mobile phones. Nowadays, smart phones of Chinese brands cover the world. Twenty years ago, Japan mocked China for not having high-speed rail, and now China has the highest high-speed rail penetration rate in the world. In the new century, China is at the forefront of science and technology. I am not surprised at all, because this is a historical inevitability. Today's China is not rising but returning, returning to China's original status and glory.
@Ak k If that's the case, why the western countries are this stupid to be stolen? It means China has the most advanced spying techniques in the world! Nice!!!
@@kaihyun2641 Do your research China been getting a lot of flak for stealing intellectual property in America, Europe & Canada. I’m not making this shit and straight facts 💯
Finché la mainstream occidentale rappresenta solo come uno strumento politico, tutto ciò di buono che la Cina compiendo diventa soggetto di critiche, in innocuo prodotto può essere semplicemente bannato x puro scopo politico...tristezza
I am really touched by the Indians in the following comments. You know, India is the most advanced country in the universe and in the history. As a human, you cannot deny most gods are with Indians. Seriously, I am not kidding. India can build anything for any country, including 5g network, AI-bus stations, light-speed trains. Anything, you just name it, India will give it to your country immidiately.
When Chinese came to work on railroads in the US, they were hired because they were reliable and worked hard for less then most. Once it suited the US, they used them as a scapegoat and blamed them and instituted the Chinese exclusion act to bar Chinese immigrants and limit their rights. Same thing is happening today. China was the factory for the US and the world, they worked hard, and exported $500 billion/annually to the US market for US corporations. Both sides made money, now they are getting blamed again. 🙂 i made that link
I'd never thought there'd already be public buses that are 5G and autopiloted. It just seems so much crazier than a metro or a car. A bus needs to do so much more.
it logical appoach dumb arse, they have to do that for a few year to teach the ai, and make sure it 100% safe. Self driving car is safe but still not 100%
Here they are automating bus driving and many public transport systems here in the US are still using decades old bus. Yeah this isn’t a good sign for things to come.

Agree Fully with 1 CHINA POLICY. This policy slogan must be raised by ROC, and under this slogan they should declare single unified democratic election under the eyes of UN. A Similar resolution must be passed in UN. At the same time UN should declare CCP or any group that obstruct such democratic election as a terrorist organisation. Additionally UN should accept ROC as an official government in exile of China. Like LTTE, JeM, AlQuida, etc. CCP should also be declared as a terrorist organisation, with so many proof of human rights violations against them. ..
Biggest upside is riders can no longer beat up bus driver for missing their stop. Edit: ok so the rider can still beat up the driver but the bus can continue to operate under normal circumstances.
@@FF_AlohaEdition Yup, it use to be losers would get on and make some BS excuse why they couldn't pay the fare. Then it got to the point where people were just getting on and sitting down without even bothering to say anything (and not paying of course). The drivers use to call the Police, but by the time the cops caught up with the bus, the a$$holes would just get off. After some bad altercations, the drivers started this new policy where they ask once for the fare, after that they just stop bothering at all.
hmm those small buses could be the transport shuttle between my house to the nearest large bus stop, and neighborhoods can get rid of the inefficient small bus lines with really few passengers
Clearly, humans have to get a lot smarter. If we don't, cars and buses and motor bikes and elephants and donkeys and pretty much everything will soon be telling us what to do. Freaky!

I enjoy listen to the reporter's English speaking. Beats any of the cringeworthy CGTN reporters and most Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affair translators. Her reporting is well-planned and logical also. Please give her a raise, New China TV!
While the CPC receives the mandate to govern, the country is not communist. That is why developement and progress in modernization of China is so outstanding and never seen before elsewhere. 😘🇨🇳
Is this business owned by the chinese government, subsidized or entirely private? Either way it's impressive. Hoping to see more of these all around the world someday
