This is my last course at my welding school and I ran one almost perfect weld yesterday and got almost full penetration except for at the top part I wanna call it “corner”. My angle was too steep so that’s why but can’t wait to try it again on monday
a big greeting to you, is the Christmas tree a good option for the root pas, because now you say that when you start with the 6-hour pre-welding, when the metal hook is formed, you should immediately start welding using the up-down method. Or as it is already the best option for a good taste

Some ppl seem to love MIG, I h8 it! A whole lot of set-up! Using valuble gas to cover plate steel? Everything must be perfect and the steel must be cleaned to get it right. You can only weld plate steel. No stainless or nothing else. The welds often look like metallic glue. Not a real fan of MIG.
@@burnie2337 Never really got into MIG. The feed. The cover gas. Everything has to be perfectly clean You can only weld plate steel. And, usually the weld looks a mess anyway with lots of tiny beads, splatter. 😀
Not sure he probably asked for a raise or something than left. But I felt he was too young for an instructor out of all my years in pipeline here in Texas I never seen him on the field
