I remade this one cause somehow I wasn't contect with the last one's directing... so here's a different version now
Watch in 1080p please.
Shadow of the Colossus rednered @ 2560 x 1792 and cpatured in 1080p HD. Framerate markedly better than on a real ps2.
(If this video doesn't play totally smooth for you in 1080p, try 720p mode instead.)

Viewtiful Moran NP I check on internet, It's Howard Shore that make the Lord of the Ring theme. Also, I wild like a story or a movie where a hero save a cute baby monster, the monster and hero are best friend. 10 years, later, a lot of monster attack the city, the hero kill a lot of them and discover that the leader of monster that kill his 18 years old son is the monster that he save. The hero super angry are not happy for saved this monster shot him with a bow, the monster look at sadly his angry friend and don,t understand why his friend hurt him. The hero are sad to kill his best friend because he is a monster that kill people juste to est them. Howeer, the monster survive and the story don,t stop but I have too much idea to writh all this in this commentary.

I felt so bad about killing this one... He looks so awesome, and you know the poor thing just wants to fly around and be free. The only reason why I don't like this game is because the Colossi look so cool and it makes me feel guilty when I slay them... The feels...

This is my favorite Colossus so far... when he swooped down I was in awe at how epic it was, especially in surround sound with the bass at max.

utterly one of THE best game I have ever played, I was really immersed with the game's fluid solitary presentation of the environment together with a master piece sound track, this game is truly a sleeper hit... this game made me say oh my god.. or OHH MY GODDDD!! that's one enormous mother! and I have to admit I have shed my man tears on this game.

Syncronizing the stabs with the music makes the battle so much better because the music is one of the game's best features.

As a person who has never really had a major fondness for puzzles, is maybe a bit of a fan-boy regarding certain series and enjoys fps' and sports games. I can say I found this game to be utterly amazing and unlike anything else I have ever played ever, which boradened my horizons.It has a stunning aesthetic,intense boss battles, a nicely paced contrasting gameplay style, compelling narrative/plot and an ending that left me with a lot of conflicting emotions. Truly a gem.

@INNUENDO88 I will, trust me. Not enough SOTC GMVs out there. I made one a while ago using trailers that I put together in Win Movie Maker when I was an AMV noob. But now I use Adobe Premiere Pro and have access to some fantastic equipment. Your videos are just too clear and beautiful to not take full advantage of, and I will definitely give you credit, you have nothing to fear there ;)

Oh man, Avion. I remembered playing this game years ago. After beaten the 3rd colossus, I thought that probably the best battle ever in the game until I faced this one. "Holy crap, a flying colossus?!". When they start soaring in the sky and the music kicks in, oh my god, it just blew my mind.. best. feeling. ever.

Tip for this battle: do NOT get hit by the giant bird when trying to hop on it, you will lose almost all your HP after bouncing on the water in an hilarious way...

probably the greatest title i played on the ps2. even though i don't like Japanese games that much this one kept me plastered to my playstation for days. the game offers a tremendous feeling of atmosphere and depth. the feeling of helplessness and despair is there as well. finding out how to beat the colossi was the best aspect of this game for me. to those who did not have the opportunity to play this one on the ps2 and are open to philosophical, artistic and deeply immersive games,.. get it.

@junior2oo The framerate depends on the amount of EE cycle and Vu cycle speedhacks. For example VU c.s. level 0 with EE c.s level 1 results in a pretty constant 30fps, like what you see in my vis. Turning them all off results in 30-60 fps, but even my machine isn't adequate for that.

I haven't beaten this game yet (only on 7th colossus) but so far this is my favorite colossus. It has epic music, epic design, and is just plain fun to fight.

Haven't played the game. The music is so sad and the bird is so beautiful, I was basically just thinking "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" for this entire video. Heartbreaking somehow.

@SagradaMascarita I know, I'm talking about from 2:00 onwards, the way the music rises and as the arrow flies it goes quiet. It sounded like it had been orchestrated to fit the actions, but I know that particular part is just part of the music track.

@INNUENDO88 Hey I got the game running on my PC pretty smooth but the audio sounds "garbled" when my FPS is anything below 60. Any recommendations for that? Also when I was making my video I thought there was a quality problem like the above user, but the I found out the game looks exactly like you posted with a heavy 'fog' and 'green' filter. I color corrected all of the footage in the video and adjusting the white balance REALLY brings out beautiful colors. I'd like to show you when I'm done.

@0sorek0 I'd recommend Largarith, the fastest lossless codec there is. And once you're done with all the edting, you can encode it into dvx or something alike, but with a very high bitrate. (I use 20000, if memory servres)

I always place those games together because they're two of my favorite games on the PS2, both have epic bosses, gameplay, graphics, and storylines, and they both came out within the space of a year.

@Demolishor27 This isn't a remake, it's the original ps2 version played on an emulator. Though you CAN use the save state function of the emulator, that can be considered a "cheat".

@adsahar No, custom resolutions should be avoided. Use the "Or use scaling" option, where you can choose things like "3x native" and such. Progressive scan should be turned on , yes.

The Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD PS3 Collection does allow you to remote play it on the PSVITA. But yeah, I'd kill to have it on there also. Such an amazing game.

Here we have the Avion, a giant phoenix of an unusual look and one of a kind. None have ever found out how this bird is capable of flight, but it does, and none are sure it even is a bird because of its fur and stone on top of its skin. *bird noises* See how it crows, how it flies, how it...is going down because some jerk stabbed it and now there's no more of it around in this place-GOD DANG IT!

@bakarichard It mostly depends on your luck for how much your particual cpu can bare. But yes, i had to do much.Firstly, i7 920 was a conscious choice, for it's latest revision at the time was the one that overclovked best (yes, beating all the more expensive i7's). Then, I LAPPED the cpu. Then bought the one heatsink that was said to perform best in the world (thermalright ifx-14) plus two 140cm fans for it, and the side of my case is removed, so it's running open. And its still pretty quiet

play it its one of the best games i've ever played,the game consists of u battling 16 collossi one at a time to save your loved one,each battle consists of a puzzle in order to reach the collosi's weak part so that u can stab them with your sword till they die,its a truly memorable game,and it makes u use ur brain too.

@sektoruchiha Try to OC a bit more if you can, like to 3.3 Ghz, and it should run fine with the combination of level 0 on EE cycle stealing and level 1 VU cycle stealing and 3x scaled resolution in gsdx.

Actually it is possible to say anything before playing Shadow of the Collosus: 1. He/She have a voice and/or knows any way to express words. 2. He/She knows any language. 3. He/She have freedom of speech. 4. He/She have elements of expression like comment sections or video responses. 5. He/She is not being stopped by anything to say whatever they want to. This game is totally a masterpiece because of it's gameplay and soundtrack. A knowledge of the game of 1% or less is enough.
