99 dollars isn’t just screwing you out of money but hurts everyone. You should charge industry standard in your area. All boats rise together. Other than that good for you man! Taking action
Hey, this video is awesome. I own a restaurant degreasing company where I pressure wash kitchens and restaurant, patios, concrete, etc. I’ve been looking into upgrading to a trailer instead of running out of the back of my truck and this video is very informative.
Hey man! Nice set up. Ignore the negative comments. Washes starting for $99 is no problem! That's what gets the calls and quotes coming in. Upsell upsell upsell. Know your worth, I generally run 0.15 cent per square ft, I have found that is about the bottom dollar to cover all my costs.
Really cool trailer and setup. Look into getting an unloader block and mounting it on the rail of the trailer. The unloader can move quite a bit when coming off the trigger and put a lot of stress on the pump. The block allows you to mount the unloader on a rail and not directly to the pump to keep that wear and tear off your pump. They have them at powerwash store.
@@PetersPowerWashServices You're definitely using every square inch on the trailer! Why not just pop it on the rail next to the pump above the wheel well?
Thank you so much for the great video! 🙏 I am totally new to all of this so please forgive me if my questions sound dumb: (1) How much did this entire setup cost, including the trailer? (2) Did you build it yourself? If so, how long did it take you and was it very difficult? (3) At the end of the video, you mentioned a soft wash system. Can you please tell me how that's different than what you have, and what additional equipment you need to make it soft wash capable? And how much would that cost? (4)How much does this thing weigh with all fluids (water, etc...) topped out? Thank you again for the EXCELLENT video, and build! 🙏🙌
Hey buddy, just wanted to give you a tip. When you are done with your surface cleaner flip it over and wash the bottom of it and keep your skirt clean on it
Holy SHeeet!!! Brother, I love your vids and I've taken so much information from your channel. I still remember the first video I watched from you and It was about how to set up hose reels. I literally base my entire estimate process on your videos. You have to keep posting tho
@@PetersPowerWashServices haha thanks man! A lot going on in my life right now. Going to be making videos soon. Got a bunch of commercial pressure washing jobs about to happen. Thanks for watching and happy vlogging!
Came a long way man. Never in my dreams, I'd imagined myself having an 8gpm machine strapped to my little 5 by 8 trailer. I'm very confident you can as well!!!🙏
@@PetersPowerWashServices my 5x8 is empty, I have a 2.5 gpm machine, a water tank, a surface cleaner and a sign so far lol. But I’m motivated and seeing your setup is absolutely inspiring. Proud of you Homie. I just painted it the trailer and need to install some wood on the base like yours, I like how you even have woods underneath. Any advice on how to get that running is appreciated my guy!
I am building a 4 by 8 Harbor freight trailer for my 1st year of soft washing and pressure washing, but I have so much interest for trash can cleaning that I'm getting my S10 running to just have somebody run around and wash trash cans separately from me doing the bigger work. I really like the setup and plan to modbuy it to suit my needs better. Looks great, keep rockin
@Douglas Plum I just recently saw something called square barrel and they are pricey but I believe I'm going to get 2 of them and install some sort of filter to filter the water as it slowly runs out of the collection tank
@@jake6483 if I do it I would like to do it with 40k or less (excluding cost of truck. I want a cool old truck so that could be 20k on its own) but I can't see spending 120k for a new one pre built
I do manual cleaning, brush and an electric pressure washer for portability. Rinse, lay on the side in the truck bed with the opening slanted down slightly towards some sort of water collection bin, Foam up with dish soap, dwell 1 min, scrub, spray out and then scrub outside. My setup is $200+truck. Is it efficient? No, but it is a cheap service with an easily recurring schedule.
What about that ladder holder pole. Where you buy it. Also I recommend taking one key off and strapping the other one to the machine so you don’t lose them. Nice build. Tku
Bender you must be a old school washer like myself. I like leaving my key in a put a zip tie through the key and strap it to the engine. Old school trick
Great video! Just wanted to ask what the GVWR of your trailer is cause if you are filling up the IBC water tank to full capacity then that's impressive for a 5x8!
You'd be surprised. The GVWR is just a nonproprietary round number that all manufacturers use. I can load up this ibc to the max but never when towing.
A 5qt of SAE 30 oil is the non marked up version of the GP100. Not that oil changes are a big expense but its still somesavings with no quality difference
Hey man, I have the same trailer, do you have the stock 1600 pound axle holding all this? I was wondering if i need to upgrade considering all the weight is way over the 1600 when loaded.
Those drones are dope but it's only good for a few applications. A pro tip is... the second you hop off the truck, connect water immediately. Don't haul water or else you will blow tires on your trailer and ur transmission.
Well, the inlet of the pump is 3/4" and I'm running 1" so the flow will always be restricted. Just make sure you have the right machine for your setup. In my opinion, Belt Driven is the way to go!
@@PetersPowerWashServices Agreed Belt driven is the way to go…just now sure if you’ll really get 8gpm on a 3/4 line. My brother runs 2in PVC from the tank into 1.5in non/collapsing hose directly to pump
I’m wanting to build my own but I’m also just starting out (less than 10 jobs under my belt) this would be like the perfect setup for me but this all looks so confusing😂 did you learn yourself or just learn off RU-vid and things of that sort? Also about how much was this rig?
I don't pressure wash for a living but have done a lot of pressuring washing and find it relaxing and rewarding. I'm always viewing YT videos on peoples rigs and could build one just off what I have learned on YT. Go for it, it's not rocket science.
I'm here to help. Nothing is too difficult and challenges are made to be overcome. I try to inform everyone as much as possible on my channel. Tons of value in the vids I post so watch those first. If you still need help, take a drive down here and I'm happy to show a thing or 2.
@@HouseWashingRickor me the $99 dollar guy makes me look good. He is the first person to lose confidence in his pricing & will never offer to give a 2 week guarantee because there is too little profit to come back. He will also never have 2 million in liability insurance, rarely picks up his phone and can not afford to look professional. All’nAll I like the $99 dollar guy as long as he stays that way. As long as he doesn’t wise up to working half as much while earning more profit. The $99 dollar guy burns out, has little to show for it except injuries and goes back to working for someone else….. at least in my small town.
I can lift the entire trailer up with no liquids in the tank. It's super light but when I add water to the tanks, I'm only adding on a few hundred pounds. Kinda pushing my max weight cap.
STOP WITH THE $99 stuff man… Y’all do not need to start a business if you do not know how to sell on VALUE for a price that keeps your business moving. Selling on “low price” will get you and your business no where!!! Let’s be better 👊🏼🇺🇸
99 is not a ploy there are guys out there ruining our business they don't last they are 1 hit wonders all in a while killing our business hope he's not one hope he has insurance cause most don't
I'm sure he upsells once he makes contact. But with this Biden recession, people are having to choose what to spend their money on. Some people can't justify throwing 600.00 on a house wash. Prices will have to be adjusted at least until people who care about our country get put into office.....
