5 June 2023 2:31pm - Here are the high-rise Mitsubishi lifts at Berjaya Times Square Hotel*****, which is a 5-star hotel located in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. This building is a 45-46 floors with 5 basements, 203-meter(666ft) twin tower, hotel, condominium, indoor amusement park and shopping complex. The towers are West tower/B(the one that I'm filming), which is a hotel part and East tower/A is a service suites/condominium part. These are the lifts that serves basement carpark floors B1 to B5 all the way up to the guestroom floors 17 to 43 and 44(called "P" in most lifts) which is a penthouse suites. Floors 14 and 15 are facilities(see floors served), and these floors are linked to East tower and its facilities. These lifts don't serve floors LG, 1 to 10(retail/mall floors), 11 to 12 or 13, and 16. This lift serves floor 13(in this video, except 4 or 5 other lifts IINW), but inaccessible. Floor 15 is the highest you can only access without a keycard.
About the lifts, this is a Mitsubishi GPM-III that was installed in 2001(building opened in 2003). There are 6 lifts installed within each tower. These lifts here goes at a speed of 4m/s(3.94m/s as measured in the app), which is quite fast for this type of floors/height. The interior looks a bit of luxurious design. In terms of fixtures, they use a black tiny high-rise buttons for the floors and black square buttons otherwise. One thing about the indicator is that G floor lights up in green to indicate the main floor, while the rest of all floors are red. The hall lanterns are horizontal transparent square lanterns with floor indicator(which can be found on G floor only, but not working at the time of filming). In addition, they have a call prediction feature. These lifts here are maintained really well, and still in great condition despite these lift's age are more than 20 years.
Not going to film the East tower lifts because it's actually the same as these. In addition, they have a keycard to gain access into the entrance and lobby. Planning to do a better retake of these lifts if I have the opportunity to stay in this hotel.
