In this build series we will be building the LQ4 LS Motor. There are many ways of doing this and with different types of tools as well. This is my method of building this motor. I ask that you do not bash on me on the way I build this motor. I have never built one before and I did a lot or research before I did this. There are a lot of people that have built the motor this way and it worked out great for them. Advise is more than welcome but if any rude comments get posted they will be removed. Thank You and Please Enjoy. All Part Numbers to the things I used are below.

Good eye. This was when I was installing the pistons the first time with the 6.0 rings. I have taken them all out and changed the rings to the 6.2 rings. How ever I did not notice this so now I will make my way out to the shop to check them all out. Ty for that.

Hey man. Good looking out. I went back out to the shop and checked it out and sure enough the cap was on backwards. Thanks again for the comment.

Did you oil the cylinder walls before reinstalling the new rings? Are you supposed to?

Why would you not check the gap on the oiler rings?

Did you have to get bigger pistons after boring out the cylinders? Or did you make up the difference with rings?

Probably to late now. But did you you keep the 2 halves of the bearings together. When they make them. They’re are made as one piece and cracked in half. They need to be kept together and not mixed up.
@LonniesGarage

Yes. Even mentioned it in the video series somewhere

It doesn't look like you put any assembly lube on the rod bearings and that is a big no go.
@LonniesGarage

I promise I did. Everything got lube on it. I used valvoline assembly lube
