I really appreciate everyone's anime suggestions! I've been trying to think of what to watch during this upcoming winter break, and so far you guys have been giving me loads of great shows! ^^
I just got a drawing tablet! But I dont have a clue what drawing app I should uses. If you dont mind I would like to know what program you use and if its free or not! Thank you every much Emirichu!~
If you've never seen Mob Psycho 100, you should. It's really good, it's funny, heartwarming, and has AMAZING animation. It's somewhat different than the other animes I've seen, but that also means it avoids a lot of annoying tropes like the ones shown in this video. Or, if you prefer more gag anime, Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan is really funny and makes fun of a bunch of ridiculous anime tropes.
@Aryanna Owens-Hailey Not to shame you, but, I thought I had a stroke reading that. Maybe slow down typing and add periods and commas to your sentences?
One of the best parts of the Tournament of Power in DBS is when Android 17 shoots a Ki blast to the three magical girls mid-transformation. It was a hilarious subversion and moment of awareness for that trope. Goku: "Why did you do that, 17" 17: "They were wide open. What did you expect?" The only thing that disappointed me is that Freeza didn't do the same.
It’s like slow-mo lol Like in miraculous ladybug when Marinette transforms inside a trash can it only takes a second but when you see her transform and you get the whole transformation sequence then it takes the full 15 seconds
Maybe their transformations freeze or slow time. Or they're just there to be eye candy for the viewer and they are actually going straight to the point with their transformations.
What if you are just like.... Tsundere? Because trust me, it's not fun. I should know, because I have much social anxiety and when someone tries to be nice, I get so flustered that shit just magically happens. I do have friends though, who are considerate enough to call me out for my shit.
@@leviismyoppa967 Thats fine. I think it only gets wierd when a person deliberatly is an asshole to others bc they think its "cute" or "tsundere" or something.
I noticed a plot hole in Tokyo mew mew recently, i think it's not a spoiler but i'm gonna hide the information just in case. Theres a part where the villain's henchman is talking about how Ichigo (the show's mc) has her identity secret, but in every episode he appears he intentionally cause chaos in all the places she goes and knows who she is. + she doesn't hides her identy at all, her hero name is just Mew Ichigo.
They explain it,time is slow down it goes really fast but they slow it down like when a anime character dose a really fast move time is slow down to them
@@captainrick4513 I read that Asuka from Evangelion was the first tsundere ever but... Don't know, she does have real problems, man... Like huge! But know... They are just annoying with no reason.
I hate the harem trope in general but the tropes within the harem I hate are that the male that the harem revolves around is duller than dishwater, the girls in the harem are usually classified as main girl, creepy childhood friend, pervy mature girl and underage girl.
That's literally Yandere Simulator...but thankfully YandereDev has publicly stated that while his game is surface level this type of anime trope, he himself is working on it be so much deeper. If more anime shows put this much effort into explaining why so many girls are attracted to this duller-than-dishwater boy, I think the trope wouldn't be so annoying.
This is gonna sound weird, but the Danny Phantom fandom actually did that with a background character. I'm not joking. They took a background character, gave him a name, personality, and made him be the only outside one aware of the hero's identity. No one ever believes him and the hero trolls him. It's fun.
@@nekoaile Wes is just a one-episode character but for some reason people have made spin-off Webtoons and Fanfics of him being a character who breaks the 4th wall by being aware of the obvious. Also these comments are just a few days old LOL. Helloooo RU-vid Recommendations
Personally I like tsunderes as long as they’re written in a way that’s not annoying or drastic. I’d love to see a story about a tsundere that 1) doesn’t make them endlessly insult and assault the love interest, and 2) go into depth about why they hide their feelings and act cold (because honestly who would just act like that for fun? It’s more realistic for it to be derived from trauma of some sort)
I think the problem comes not from the tsundere archetype, but the fact that the character completely revolves around their love interest. I think the instances where we see good tsundere characters are when they're just detached and living their own life.
I know I'm a year late to this comment but I'm currently writing a tsundere relationship with my characters! i wanna keep this in mind to not make it unenjoyable to my readers :D
@@30ajgo tsunderes are just characters that act cold and uninterested in their crush, they don’t always have to be excessively violent. I do see the appeal of the overly violent form of the trope, it’s funny but just a bit overdone for me.
Try Kuuderes! They're characters that act completely indifferent and have a super cold exterior, and basically act like they don't care about any person, but eventually open up & warm up to those they love :D
Bruh, if every person that a tsundere liked had a brain and responded normally, tsunderes would never date... Like, who wants to date someone who slaps them for talking lmao
I would appreciate the following scene: Anime protagonist: getting his ass kicked by the villain, dying Healer: Busts in through the door, having left a trail of unconscious goons of the villain, while holding one of them in a headlock, healing the Protagonist Protagonist: kicks villain's ass "This is the power of friendship!" Healer: slaps protagoinst: "You only managed to defeat him because I healed you! Idiot! Act like it! B-baka!"
@@jarekhartwell6235 Except this time the healer actually calls out the Anime on that bullshit, by slapping the protagonist and yelling at him for saying it was friendship that did all the work. I would also appreciate a healer in an MMO Anime that is actually annoyed and dead inside, like healer mains in FPS games. Because the annoying trope of "I just wanna help"-healers is going on my nerves.
One of the reasons I like the Chinese magical show "Balala Xiao Moxian." Magical girl show where the girls actually completely change their appearances. (Meanwhile, that one magical boy: [lol I didn't say it was perfect in this aspect either]) They still do the thing where the villains wait 5 minutes each transformation sequence, though. Seriously, villains deserve some politeness award.
There's also a trope that just gets the hell out of me. Girl accidentally bumps into a boy, and IMMEDIATELY FALLS IN LOVE WITH THE BOY SHE BUMPED IN. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HIM, MAYBE HE'S A TERRIBLE PERSON!
Speaking from experience, whether a man is a terrible person or not, does not matter at all. All that matters is what her body is telling her when she is around him.
School: makes female uniforms with a super tiny skirt that shows panties with any hint of breeze or body movement that is not 100% vertical Girls: IT'S THE BOY'S FAULT
I once saw an anime, where the two main characters are sitting together eating sandwiches, the male character finished the sandwich in three bites and was eating his third sandwich, while the female character was still nibbling half of the sandwich. I know that some people eat in very small bites, but I don't think it's to that extend.
Ok but don't you hate that one trope where the protagonist who just trained for 2 months wins against a person who has trained their whole life? Like bruh I legit would get annoyed by that trope and I am seriously loving the tsundere slander here in the comments
*Some guy that trained years with his mediocre power is very strong* *MC enters with his ultra op 2 shot power that he got 10 minute ago and destroys the universe*
That's because the main character's dead parent is the ultimate _______ so the protagonist has the spirit of the most powerful _______ (often dragon or whatever) in him
I should be against this trope because you're right, it's not realistic or fair, but I'm one of those people self-inserting myself into the self-insert main character and I like the power trip, I'm sorry
As a brother with a sister and four stepsisters and a healthy relationship with all of them, I hate how brother/sister relationships in anime are always either super suggestive (i.e. incestuous) or Chernobyl levels of toxicity.
@Pokin Ryan In Japan incest is legal Because turns out that there isn't any actual scientific reasons why incest is "bad", it's only cultural. They do have a lot of procedures when it comes to making children and of course parents X children is illegal but they didn't really have any reason to forbid brother X sister or cousin X cousin Also it's not just japan, clearly you didn't read manhuas/manwhas
The squealy voices can grind my gears. Another thing that upsets me is the falling down. You know two characters are getting along just great and some stupid secret comes out.
Annoying tropes: 1. The girl call the main boy character a pervert and beating him because of a miss understanding that might look something perverted 2. The main boy character is hyperactive and really dumb when it comes to love and wins because the anime says so
I know this was made FOUR YEARS AGO but I still greatly appreciate how far she went to nail in how stupid tropes are, even leaving the drawing tablet to show how stupid it looks in real life. 10/10 work Emily, did well.
Villain: *lol you screwed you gon diey good Guy* Guy: I C-cant lose now..... Guy: wait, I must remember who I'm fighting for...... Guy: *all my frie-* Wait I don't have any **dies** Villain: ........ *I-i won?*
Thankfully I trust it when YandereDev says there IS a reason he's so attractive but it's a mystery because he wants us to figure it out or just play it straight like a Harem Anime. Better than most media playing this trope when the developer goes out of his way to explain there's an actual reason behind why the girls come to him, not just because it's a Murder Harem game. He wants there to be explanations.
The classic: Someone is about to lose a fight, but somehow has enough time to go through a 3+ minute flash back/motivational speech before getting hit, or if it's a character with plot armor, blocking/dodging/getting saved last second.
Mc: h Tsun:OMG SUCH A PERVERT BAKA IKUZO BITCH ASS MUTHERFUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT OF A HUMAN BEING HOW ARE YOU EVEN BORN THIS WAY? ARE YOU SUCH A PIECE OF SHIT WHEN YOU WERE A LITTLE CHILD? OR IS THIS JUST HOW YOU TREAT ME? I FUCKING HATE YOU SO GODDAMN BAD I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY YOU EXIST? I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL YOU ASSWIPE *And she also assaults him and in which. The mc has gone to prison for no charges at all. He also got raped.*
*Main character is heavily damaged or almost dead* *Has a flashback about friends or family and becomes OP out of no where* *Charges forward with renewed energy* *Oh no wait I'm still fatally injured* *Falls over dead*
ok, now I want a tsundere who gets the drop on the protagonist once, and never again. The protagonist always has a counter and it becomes a sort of greeting ritual between them.
I think in the stories, the two of them ARE attracted to each other in the fantasy. Secondly, in real life, where actual victimization is occurring, a person whose heavily toxic is good at picking their victims; they won’t chose someone who will object or fight back.
Nah bruh taiga from toradora be like: I can not relate... now let me go and abuse the guy I like because he literally did nothing to me at all but it's fine because people think it's cute to get abused by a girl, Oh and while I'm at it I'll call him a dog/slave even tho I should be nice because he literally did so many good things for me but ima fuck him up anyways because that's my way of showing affection (if you don't get the joke... I absolutely hate Taiga)
Main hero: Ok your time has come! Villian: Ok lets do this Both fight for a while Then they just look at each other for a while Main hero: Ok lets finish this in next episode Villiain: Only if i will be able to tell my back story. Main hero:Deal.
Basically Trap. Traps are characters that seems to appear as one gender only to turn the other way around, they're mostly used for comedy but some anime media tries to make it plot relevant. Some people hate it cause to them it's transphobic
The anime character who’s only personality is boobs is the Japanese equivalent of the American movie with a black character who’s black and they end it there
@@blazeoftherazgrizsquadron9306 you're right... but basically every female that he has come across, except for a few (Yui, Rosalia, Yuuki, others I forgot) has had a crush on him.
@@blazeoftherazgrizsquadron9306 I don't like harem genre but, my exceptions are when the main couple is quite obvious from early on and if there is actually a reason as to why the other characters revolve around/like the main character (by that I mean, no -he said it was okay for me to be me- bs trope seen everywhere). SAO has it's problems but I at least give them this point.
And the long spiel they go on like: "U-ugh! Go away, I can't stand you you're so annoying! Get out of my sight! I didn't even want you here!" And then they cross their arms and go "hmph!" while blushing. (Really specific I know)
Late to the game, but when one character says "There's no time to explain!" then they get in a car and have a long drive out into the mountains or where ever the next thing is, but still don't explain...
Or, they could do it like how Doctor Who does: "I'll explain later" which could imply that they explained on the way offscreen while we saw something else like what the bad guys were doing or whatever funny things the comedic relief people were doing.
annoying anime tropes that I highly resign 1. How anime girls eat 2. How the male character always looks boring and is always dumb as a rock 3. How the uke in yaoi is always weak and can’t stand up for himself 4. How some anime girls are absolute pushovers And five, how absolutely brutal anime people take their bullies out, like in some I’m pretty sure that you would probably get arrested in real life
the third one is true fax rite dere I've read tons of yaois where the uke's can't stand up for themselves, when they're being r@ped by the semes (who's clearly toxic) and they can't say anything or fight and they just let them be, like bro it's so annoying and a toxic relationship
Dont get me started on the third one, i really hate it and the fact that a lot of my mutuals on social media who consumes yaoi manages to not acknowledge this shit trope, like dont they notice how irritating it is to read or watch how the uke just kept saying they dont like the seme doing shit to them but then proceed to let them have their way like bruh come on🙄 thats why all my favorite yaoi mangas that i had read before always has an uke that could always stand for themselves and never depend on the seme like their whole world only revolves on them
The only tsundere I appreciate is Misaki from Maid sama...Not unnecessarily mad and acts strong but also actually is strong. she delivers her feeling properly even though she is bad at it...I love Misa-chan
Yess! Misaki’s a queen! I love her. She doesnt abuse her love interest. Is smart, strong and tried her best in everything. She’s so adorable! One of the few tsunderes I love .
@@wenikawu517 Usui's too much of a badass for it to work anyway. She wasn't above lashing out physically at people, even tried a few kicks to him here and there. He just ultra instincted around it.
@@RandomCerealArt I personally always had this funny inclination that Natsuki was tsundre’ing for Yuri. This is probably because I played DDLC a few years ago, and I’m getting back into it with DDLC +.
Weak character: *about to die* Flashback: "Remember, dying is lame" Weak character: *is strong* Character: *gets hurt* *knows exactly what was damaged without having any scans or experience*
Anime logic is hilarious, but the most annoying thing is when a character wins because they have the power of frienship. Especially when they make a huge speech about it.
@@phonecharger4073 I mean, at least it's the theme of the show, and thus should be expected. Other ones are just "why dafuq are they not only doing a speech in the middle of a life-or-death situation, but the villain is standing there waiting?"
*when they give female characters super revealing uniforms/costumes for literally no reason* edit: alr by ‘no reason’ i meant ‘no reasonable or ethical reason that makes sense’. i know that a lot of shows do this for ‘fanservice’, attention or to attract creepy people online for the money. what im saying is i kind of disregard that as a reason because i don’t believe it’s appropriate to sacrifice the image of minors and females in general for a few dollars, though i know there are reasons behind it. i hope that clears things up about my ignorance; and pls only start respectful debates in the replies, not fights :)
Here is my reason: "I really love this pose, and I've gotten the anatomy down amazingly! Now I just gotta add the outfit..." and then I stress for fifteen minutes because I'd have to erase huge chunks of the pose I spent so long perfecting, just so I can give them a normally lengthed skirt. I make the outfits revealing because I want to show off ALL my work, especially the difficult parts like posing and anatomy. Also girls are very pretty... But a bunch of fully grown men animating a show meant for millions of other people can't exactly use the same excuse as a 17 year old girl drawing for the fun of it.
@@dreamingpichu2334 true, that’s a good reason from an animator’s pov. to be more specific, i think this is just annoying when it’s applied to minors and examples you mentioned - but you definitely have a point!
I hate when they say “I can explain” and then don’t explain. It’s a cliche and you can achieve the same effect (or better) by having them explain immediately and the other character just doesn’t believe them because they have a reputation for lying to get out of things.
@@valkyrierain313 I apologise for the swearing, I am a complete dumbass and was in a very bad mood, as for the show, what i was supposed to ask is "Why is this show so loved by people, I personally do not enjoy it so I really want a second opinion from someone who does"
That's also grounds for a restraining order given physical form! Don't believe me, ask any number of guys who've gone through this sort of thing and survived without a prison sentence.
"MY PARENTS DIED AND I GOT BULLIED FOR IT! ITS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! BUT SINCE THEN, I HAVE GROWN STRONGER AND NOW IM READY TO BATTLE YOU WITH MY ONLY FRIEND THAT LIKED ME FROM THE START ON! YOU'RE BASICALLY DEAD!"
Bad guy: AND NOW YOU WILL PERISH AND... and... what are you doing?.. Side kick: shhhhh hes having a flashback Bad guy: ... seriously... Protaginest: in a voice 10ds lower than normal: I know what I have to do now.
OMG the Tsundere animation, I laughed so hard. Even though I absolutely love characters like Katsuki Bakugo and Kyo Sohma, this trope DEFINITLY is overused. And the transformation one is SO TRUE, especially with sailor moon... I agreed with basically everything!
Tbh I hated bakugo so much! Like he was just so mad for someone just basically existing 😂 and he’s always pissed about something for no reason its lowkey so annoying for me at least
That's not even the only thing that is annoying with this trope. When an anime girls eats something yummy (slice of a cake usually) on a fork/spoon, her mouth makes a CRUNCH sound (the fork/spoon then is shown unharmed, so you can guess what took the damage here). Sound design in anime can be not only excessive (a ton of sighs and gasps is a common example), but really just wrong, like some guy just slightly moves his sword, and you hear CLANG. What, did it hit heavy oxygen molecules on its way?
I’m so glad I’m not the only person who sees how annoying it is when anime characters eat. Who tf takes bites that small and makes those weird moaning noises when they’re eating irl?
I’ve only ever made weird moaning noises when I drank something the other day but it was because it was utterly heavenly and I’ve never felt such heaven in years like that. Doing it all the time in anime is annoying for sure though
@@CandyApples4ever relate. Those weird moaning noises should only be applicable when the food is really good, or something you loved that you haven't eaten in ages, or quenching thirst. Because of anime I get embarrassed when I unconsiously sigh in pleasure after drinking e.g. bubble tea even though I'm alone.
i get tired of the trope of how the love interest dies but then they get revived, sometimes multiple times. it's not like it's bad, it's just like "bro i thought you were dead🧍♀️"
Lmao it is cringe Sometimes I say I am a tsundere, cause "though outside, sweet inside" is _kind of_ my personality, but I don't fucking act like Natsuki
I get anger as a defense mechanism is normal, but going out your way to physical, mentally and emotionally harm someone you claim to love and have feelings for isn't a normal reaction. It's a prelude to an abusive relationship. But sadly in Japan, abusive relationships are...romanticized this way as Tsundere. Not just in anime, but in real life. That's why it's so popular. But it's one of the many reasons many young Japanese don't want to marry.
I don't really like harems either. But I do love Ouran High School Host Club. Mainly because Haruhi breaks the normal harem stereotype by being sarcastic, rude but still really smart and puts the boys behind her education
Jade Daly yes I LOVE her so much she's not your typical, "oh look at me I'm a handsome girl that girls adore and that gets attention!" And not like a "trap" you know?
For me: 1) During most fight scenes, some random character will go into explicit detail about what is happening that totally ruins the moment as the most of the time what is happening is extremely obvious or would be more interesting being implied. 2) Power Levels. I find this is an arbitrary way of saying how strong a character is. 3) Non-Food anime having characters rant and in great detail talk about food to the point that you think they are trying to sell you some or have stock in some company related to it. 4) Visual contradicting where you have a female character with a very mature looking appearance...is only 15. Why? That is weird on so many levels. Or the opposite problem where a character looks like a grade school student is in their 30s or 40s.
5- when the main character is portrayed as an underdog with nothing going for them only for them to be revealed to have the most powerful ability in their show the whole time making the side characters who once surpassed them now fodder leaving the main character to be the only one to fight the final boss or something.
I personally hate the “I fell in love with my bully” or “my bully fell in love with me” trope it just makes me so mad, obviously there is nothing wrong with liking this trope it’s just a personal opinion, like why would you fall in love with someone who either bully’s you to the brink of... offing yourself or bullying you so much it makes you... very unhappy for a long time (RU-vid censorship difficulties)
If they wanted to make it serious, it could be like he has nothing to lose. But I'd much prefer it if they're aware and just have a depressed, lonely, and poor main character.
jokes aside, there are shows where characters are powered by remembering the people they have lost, which is atleast a better version of the 'I have the power of friendship on my side!' trope, in my opinion.
One trope I think is overdone is the one where the main protagonist guy is like an average build teenager who at some point gets surrounded by a gang of dudes who are older, more buff and have weapons and he beats them all up without breaking a sweat because he’s just talented like that.
@@meatiest1989 Ironically taking tropes fully and embracing them can make the trope work, the problem is sometimes the trope feels very token, but with Ty Lee, Azula and Mei the trope is only a part of their character and you can understand why they are like that
I will say that magical girls do have an edge on the secret identity thing because Japan has so many people. If you see Sailor Moon and then you see Usagi later, and you do make that connection, you still don’t know her name or where she lives. Depending on where you see her you might not ever see her as Usagi again in your life. And since there are middle to high school students it’s like “I have no idea who this is. This woman could literally be from any high school in the country.” My other explanation would probably just be ‘magic’.
Most of us have seen at least one of these: The stereotypical main character sitting next to a window, That UwU Cookie girl, Characters being clumsy and bumping into their Crush, Anime Girls calling Someone a pervert for legit TOUCHING THEIR HAND (Or something stupid like that) I Plead my case
