Interesting. I think I would only use the fluid dumps early on but then use dynamite to create channels between the holes so I only need to open a single floodgate to fill all holes. The fluid dumps would only be as backup. Maybe a dam next to the river could store water during the wet season and store it for the drought to fill the irrigation channels.

It's one of those things where you set it up early and then forget it because it just works

Little extra tip: Place food & water close to your decontamination pods so that the beavers do not leave the pods for long when they need to eat/drink. This allows them to stay in the pods for longer, drastically shortening the time it takes to cure them.

Thank you, brother. This is a good solution to the loss of irrigation towers.

A tip for the decontamination pods: Put them near your housing, food and drinks, so the contaminated beavers don't spend too much time slowly walking around between these locations, but can spend as much time as possible in the decontamination pods. If you have a large colony (by distance) where all these are spread out, your sick beavers will often decide to sleep on the other end of the district and eat in yet another corner, then walk over to the decontamination pod, just to soon get thirsty and walk back to some water tank (not necessarily the nearest) and then get sleepy and go to their home, spending most of the day walking around. It can then be worth it to set up a separate district with just the decontamination pods, some warehouses for food [they don't get bonuses for variety, so just use the one you got most of or can make most cheaply], tanks for water and some baracks or row houses, and a few (healthy) beavers (or bots) in the district crossing to provision your storages. You can set minimum numbers for contaminated beavers in the population migration tool [it shows up only when you actually have contaminated beavers], then they'll automatically go there when they get sick. (You'll need to send them back manually when they are healed, though.) Of course, you could also go the sadistic route and send all your contaminated beavers into a separate district with no food, water or housing, to kill them off quickly without investing any more resources.

Thats a very good tip. Didnt think about putting them closer to the home, I was just looking to place them where i had power

Have you tried turning paths into covered rivers?
@itszeeeti

I dont know what you mean by that

Like you take a path that would go through your fields or anywhere really, make it one block deep, put a platform in it, and put your path on top. You can have a dump point somewhere along the path and it can keep it filled

@jkn3rulz Will still only irrigate a small area around it. It is a slightly larger area than just a single tile due to multpie single tiles having overlapping area's of effect, but still insufficient for proper irrigation. Channel paths like this are good for feeding multiple 3x3 irrigation ditches though. 12-13 tiles from centre to centre of each irrigation ditch should cover the maximum space. 15 tiles from centre to centre of the 3x3 irrigation ditches isn't bad either, just a little area 1-2 tiles deep by 2-4 tiles across will not be covered at the outter edge between each ditch. Setting it up to be fed with a double flood gate inlet from your main water source will work well early on, though water storage and water dumps to manually feed it will be needed for longer Drought's and Bad Tides later on. At least, that is, without a complex reservoir & river diversion system to store & feed it with while not disrupting river flow.

up to this point, I still can not play as iron teeth... the population control is difficult, also the foods... Iron teeth's foods kinda need more steps before they could be eaten, and I fail to understand what the purpose of having coffee because it was either me didn't find any beavers drink coffee or the production rate was higher than the consumption rate...

Yeaa i agree. Iron Teeth is a lot harder than Folktails. Remember it's a game and you don't have to do everything perfect. It's okey to fix things up as game9lay goes
