Khan Kross i just reached out to arc system works and to them PLEASE dont nerf those cool techs. It totally separates away from the MVC crowd. Its unique. That's the good and bad on tech secrets now. You share it. Then others abuse it and then the noobs cry to have it nerfed smh
This isn't really 'tech' as much as it is an explanation of the core game mechanics. They won't nerf this, don't you worry. Tech is generally some little obscure thing that someone discovered and works in a specific circumstance (unblockables, for example). Also, I don't know much about how it is in other gaming communities, but sharing tech is what the FGC do. So yeah, not rare at all. :)
D The Chemist Sorry to burst your bubble but 90% of the cool tech in this game, minus the dragon balls, is straight up lifted from Marvel vs Capcom games.
on reddit i read about this two players that were fighting online and one of them their controller died and it seems the other person mustve noticed so the guy actually waited until he can get back in the game. lol
@@jmcrofts there is a type of move that I dunno how to perform can you plz tell me? It’s the green arrow move for example , _Tides of time_ by hit I just don’t know how to do it!!! I’m on PS4 btw just in case
You know how people make videos like this all the time but it’s always stuff that you pretty much knew already? Yeah, this was definitely not that. This video was super helpful and informative. Awesome stuff man!
Also this game has some mechanics ath MvC2 had...if you hold down one of your assist button during the loading screen displaying your team, you can pick that assist char to start first. Keep in mind you have to hold it down moments after seeing the screen appear as it takes long to register. You'll know it worked when you hear a sound effect. I will say its hard to use it online because of lag but it does work.
Forgot to mention sparking deals more damage the less characters you have. So its best to save it for your last character. Also, you dont need to mash reflect, just hold it.
Yeah , making videos is like making movies. George Lucas said films arent finished, they are abandoned. Theres always going to be something you wish you couldhave changed.
A tutorial that even the video about tips the tutorial didn't teach you forgot: Reflecting anything also charges your meter really quickly. If someone you're fighting is just spamming beams, try reflecting instead of only blocking and you'll get some meter for your risk.
One small thing to add about sparkling blast. The less characters you are down to, the longer it last. It starts out at lvl 1 and goes up a level for each character you lose up to lvl 3
Also before you start a fight while it loads you hold the button that use assist (L1 or L2 by default you will here a chime noise) you can start the fight with the second or third character you picked to trick your opponent on who they think is going to fight first
but if they 2h you expecting to super dash at the start the only difference is your second character got 2h'd which makes switching in is pretty pointless.
I appreciate that you don't use cuss words in your videos (or at least the few I've watched). I'm looking for a RU-vidr that I can allow my kids to watch because they love this game! Good work man.
LifestyleLevelUp ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cQdhPm6OLrU.html here is a vid for you then and he is making more tutorials for the game
Euchre FGC The cussing they do have is kind of "light" cussing, just damn and hell. If Frieza was calling people a bitch and cell starting saying how he didn't fuck around, I think I'd be on the same page lol
Oh yeah you're right, completely forgot about Vegeta. Yeah there might be a decent amount of swearing, but depending on their age and maturity they should be able to get that this is fictional and the characters are adults.
In Sparking, you can air dash after your air normals, and overheads. This is amazing for characters like Yamcha and Vegeta, because their dive kicks become pressure tools.
Holy crap, you weren’t kidding, this video was great - I completely forgot that sparking was even a function in the game. Subscribed, would love to see more content covering DBFZ.
Dude, I'm a fighting game regular, and I had no absolutely no idea about IAD trick for this game. That's freaking game changing. Very much appreciated!
Nice video! Knowing you can tag in with supers without having your current character do a super is really helpful. It's especially useful for tagging adult Gohan in with unleashed potential from the get-go.
You can also use spark as a combo extender. When doing an air combo, use spark. It will force the opponent down to the ground with enough time to follow up.
Holy crap! I remember first seeing this video when it had 1k views. NOW IS HAS 1 MILLION?! I'm glad your channel got exposure thanks to this video! Keep on going, man. Still one of my favorite youtubers to date.
I have a bad habit of holding the vanish buttons down during the whole animation and I would always get confused at why it would not do an attack. But this video really helped!
Great video. One detail you are missing on sparking in video is that it lets you dash forward after air ki blasts. As well as also jump from ground ki blasts, but that falls under normals. Because of this feature some characters like SsJ goku, goku black, etc can have some ki blast loop combos. As well as more pressure
Just a tip to people who may not know, sparking isnt mapped to any button, I recommend mapping it to right stick. It's a free button and it feels much more natural and smooth to just click down RS and activate sparking
very glad to see this video, each one of these helped me out, sadly ill be coming back to watch over and over since I won't retain any info lol but I do wish the practice mode explained what moved did more, the crouch heavy will help me out a lot!
Thanks man your dbfz playlist has helped a lot. I was wondering if you could do more tech videos for different characters. I got a few characters I'm working on (mainly vageta and kid buu) but I don't think they work well together but from watching your videos I think I will pick up piccolo for his assist. Subscribed.
Thanks a bunch for all the tips! The game's tutorial is rather disappointing compared to GGXRD's, so it's nice to see people like you pick up the slack and help us noobs out.
I'm thinking of getting into the fighting game genre (I only ever bought the Super Smash Bros. and MK games, and DBFighterZ), is Guilty Gear Card a good fighting game?
Specially because Frieza doesn't have many combos that deal insane damage, most of his just stay somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 (I think it's his penalty for having so many great tools to keep the opponent in different areas of the stage). With Sparking and Golden Frieza you do end up dealing a lot of damage.
ikr? I had an epic frieza comeback match today. It was pretty close. You should watch it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cianKgxpy98.html
Ah... And the depth starts being revealed layer by layer... This makes me happy. I've been having lots of conversations about the ease of accessibility this game has and it's left a bad taste in some people's mouths... But this is going to change that a bit. At the least it's going to show that whatever taste they have has a hint of an afterglow they did not expect. Some flavors grow on you. Some aromas need time to build in your glass to get it right.
Krystal Myth. Very well said. I tell people about the auto-combos and they're notably disappointed, but then proceed to get destroyed and claim to 'not know how to play the game' when the beta was out. The best combos are found and recorded. I'm just using Ultimate Gohan to build my own.
wow such a "hidden" technique you mentioned about. you make me remembered how happy my feeling was, when i was a kid played DB super butoden and just found out how to deflect special moves. thanks for the tips, man...
This video was awesome you just earned a subscription from me. I would love to see more of these videos. Maybe a good combo video on how to keep the opponent in the air longer
You explained this better than the people in this DBF group on FB... They just down talk you if you asks for tips or act like gods but you... You did this the right way lol subscribed
Where was this video when i started playing? I was always asking myself how people call in level 3 and a lot of other things. I'm liking so others don't have the struggles. Thank you.
Excellent video with very important information! I do want to offer one small correction though. In the sparking blast section you mentioned calling an assist in order to do a crossup. Unfortunately, this game has cross-up protection from assists. If you call an assist and cross up your opponent, your opponent can hold back OR forward, and they will successfully block the mixup. The one single exception is Piccolo's homing assist. Once Piccolo has exited from doing his assist, you can use the homing orb to cross up your opponent. If he is still present, the cross-up protection will work as normal. Keep the vids coming man. I'm going to be linking these to my friends.
Euchre FGC it most definitely isnt a defensive game, hence the lack of options. That is the very definition of what Dragon ball is. The best defense is an overwhelming offense
I don't think you mentioned that Sparking is more powerful the lower amount of fighters you have. When you only have 1 fighter left (sparking is at level 3) it heals blue health crazy fast and gives you even more damage. I think the Sparking icon even changes with to represent this when you have less fighters.
maikai196 a lot of ppl who play fighting games already know this is very similar to the x- factor in the Marvel vs Capcom series, so it’s not anything new. Not to be rude or anything.
I didn't catch it if you said this but the duration of your sparking depends on how many fighters you have left if you're down to your last one it lasts an extremely long time and if you pop it early then it's just a very quick moment of the buff
Even the hold assist button to pick your assist to go first is in there too.. I love the potential for combos this game is presenting. Lol hopefully no1 discovers a infinite tho.
One of the best applications of reflect is when you are in the corner, if your opponent is going for an overhead, react and Reflect to get out of the pressure. Just make sure not to do it in the middle of one of the enemy's assists
Sparking also causes your assist bar to refill faster than normal whilst in effect, good video BTW. I'm quiet new to this game but really enjoying the way it plays and learning something new is always fun.
If I had known a few of these things beforehand, I would have saved a lot of nerves on some battles. Time to go to the training room and experiment. Thanks a lot!
Really REALLY usefull didnt know about hidden features of sparking and also holy moly vanish in sparking is now soooooo much more usefull because after using a vanish u can do sooo much more than just a kick. Also tagging into a ult was really usefull too cuz it can catch people off guard when they do not expect it. So in conclusion knowing these simple stuff gives u so much bigger advantage.
Can u make a video explaining air combo cancel or how to continue air combo? I'd seen some videos on youtube where android 18 is just doing unlimited combo in the air and going into lvl 3 special.
Lucky Yaj j.c. on the ground is more lenient, jumping in a mid air combo takes better timing. For example, 2h SD l m 9 l m h requires the first m to have started up before pressing forward jump.
You can kinda sorta break the LMH (light, mid, heavy) chain if you manage to use a 2H (Down Heavy midair) midair twice. If so, you can jump cancel the second 2H. Some characters can get a ki blast in before a heavy in a corner as well. Also just in case you didn't know, you can launch midair with 2H just like on the ground, you get one double jump, you get one dash, one Super Dash and one vanishing attack to extend a combo. It's kind of hard to Visualize. I hate to plug my own channel but I have a Video on there called "Goku Black 6 Meter Combo Solo" or something like that that might display what I mean a bit better than words can. Edit: The "7.3k Damage combo" video is a lot simpler.
Thanks for the video. I've been trying the game and I enjoy it. But there was something that I felt was lacking. The stuff you showed in this video makes the game feel more complex and strategic, and now I think I'm gonna invest more of my time on it. Anyway, I would really like to see you doing a review of the game or a video where you talk about what you like and you don't like about the game if possible.Keep up the good work! Cheers!
I don't understand why the tutorial is so basic. Blazblue and Guilty Gear teach Uzemi and Oki, cancels and tech. DDFZ barely teaches you how to tag. I hope they work on that.
Comeback Kid the game tells you how to tag wtf? The only thing it does not go as deep as it needed to go because it's trying so hard to keep the basics in the face for new people which is kinda disappointing
when he said "barely teaches you how to tag" he probably was referring to the fact that they dont teach you about the level 3 super tag, or the tag super without using it on the first character.. but honestly the tutorial is definitely lacking
That's very useful dudeee! Damn broo, I just found out some things u already mentioned in this game but there are a few I didnt know. I'll take them into account
IT'S HALF CIRCLE. THANK YOU. Heard of the instant tag super before release but tried with quarter circles and just got assists or tags. Thought they removed the mechanic lol..
