i was basicaly too young to watch the movie. i was 9 and i thought it was also pretty scary. but i remember some scenes about puking and i have a phobia of that and the red water looked like blood and that was the scariest part of that movie. i think i need to watch it again someday, maybe this year. maybe i'll love it again. not that the movie was bad, but yeah, pretty difficult to understand it sometimes.

My most recent lucud dream was the longest I've had, but not the most successful. In the beginning especially, and also throughout the dream, I couldn't do dream stuff well. I did nose-pinch reality check and then, for fun, tried to hold a ball of fire in my hand, but instead of fire, i was shooting confetti. Later I tried to make a portal, but it was very hard, and it didn't even take me to where I wanted. I was a bit frustrated by both of these things, but I continued because I didn't know how much time I had left, as my previous lucid dreams were pretty short. My dream ended with me watching myself and a dream character race on a highway from third person.

I'll be honest - I've never actually seen any of the Matrix movies (besides a few scenes that I would see my dad watching, but that was years ago)! I'm not really a big movie person but it seems like I might need to give these movies a watch. Hopefully I can understand more than what my past self did from the fight scenes! That aside, getting past expectations is perhaps the hardest thing for me to do in terms of lucid dreaming (besides actually achieving a lucid dream). In my recent lucids, I've noticed how my expectations have been really cutting into what I can and "can't" do. I've found that when I try and focus on my dream goal, my expectations get in the way, causing a good deal of frustration while I can do things easily that aren't related to the goal at all. I found that somewhat distracting myself without focusing on the dream goal helps a bit but its something I need to work on and test more. I would comment more but since I haven't seen the movie, I don’t really have much more input. I've actually had a "the spoon isn't a spoon" moments in a lucid before where it seemed like monumental knowledge, but in hindsight, it was just brain gibberish. Anyway, awesome video and I might have to watch these movies!

I'd really only recommend the first movie, it's entirely self-contained - and the following films go off in a direction that's really not all that interesting for lucid dreamers. The first movie, however, really gets you in the mood for some lucid adventures!

Hi! Remember me? You congratulated me when I had a lucid dream. And you said "I am sure that you will have much more lucid dreams" You were right, I am lucid dreaming every night. In the last lucid dream I had, I was in a party room with my some classmates, I knew that I'm in a dream. I said it out loud. But I woke up, but no problem, I'm just learning how to lucid dream. By the way, if you want to know how I woke up, it was like this; I said I am in a dream (out loud with people near me) than they disappeared and lights cut off! And lights came back, just like undertale, but it started to be dark there, I think my brain doesn't want people to know that they are in a dream, then it started to be a lucid nightmare... Then the party room started to glow and BOOM!! I woke up. I was not that scared though, I knew I'm in a dream.

I've seen it, from a lucid dreaming researcher's perspective (that's my job) it's one of the most misleading films regarding dreams. Fun as a piece of fiction, but completely misleading for anyone interested in dreaming.

oh i've heard a lot about this movie. never seen. maybe take a look Sorry I have an off topic question again. How can I add a pre-flight check to my reality check? can I also do it in my head during waking hours like: everything is a dream and an illusion and so on?
@LucidDreamPortal
@LucidDreamPortal 7 месяцев назад
Hey Jim, thank you for your continued support! I'd definitely recommend giving the movie a go, if nothing else it gets the mind in "lucid mode". To answer your question, at the point when you've concluded your state at the end of a test, take some time to think about what you'd do if you were dreaming. This would also include taking some time to ponder the nature of the mind, the dream world etc. It's really no more complicated than making that thought a habitual part of your reality check, so feel free to experiment with whatever way inspires you to remember to do so.

sad to say this but i only watched The Matrix ones when i was too young too so did'nt understand it all too well and it was pretty scary when i was a bit of a young age, with that bloodlike water and the puking (i still think that part would be too scary for me since i have a fear of vomiting) when he got sick or out of the dreamworld and in the bloodred water world. but now that i'm older, i'm curious to watch the movie again someday because its definitely a Lucid Dreaming Movie indeed. by the way, neat touch to put the lights in the colorscheme of The Matrix. I Love that little extra. have you also seen the other two Matrix movies and are they good as well or dont they hold up to the first movie?! and the new one wich i also havent seen yet seems to be like people dont like that one. anyway, maybe i'll watch Matrix again this year, i have enough time on my hands anyway.

It's definitely worth watching, but you're right it'd definitely not a film for younger minds! Personally I ignore the other films, they really don't hold up to the original and just start to get a little silly.

Yes, I think it's a great example of the power of belief/expectations in the Dreamworld. I didn't mention it as the "free your mind" quote doubles up on it :)

As you go to sleep, try recalling 3-5 memories from your day in as much detail as possible. You want to re-imagine / visualize this memories while in bed and in this way, you can exercise. your recall muscles to remember dreams more.

Hello dear sir. You should remember my name. I am nishant (cuz i lobe you😸and you are my inspiration and all. ). I am from india. The thing i want to ask is. I have always been an active dreamer and lucid dreamer for about 3 years now . I have had like 70 lucid dreams. But i like normal dreams too. But the thing is even now. I cant teleport to places. And fly properly. Stating first that i have more than 70 ld experience it sound like a lie. Thay i cant conrol. But in most of my lucid dreams. I can't teleport any where. And i just go and have sex☠️. Its not satisfactory anymore i would like to explore more. My problems are : 1. I think i have already set in my subconscious that i cant teleport. I can fly but if i look down i will find myself on ground. Can i fix the preconeption 2. I dont get proper awareness. I start thinking that this dream will fall apart soon. And soon it goes off track and false awakening/confusion surounds and i forget about the lucidity. In many dreams i see nice quality dreams. Clear pictures. Still strugle with super powers. I know stuff. I have read your book and watched you seens 3 years. Or something but i feel like its impossible now to change my subconscious. Plz help😢. Love you my tech support

आपके दयालु शब्दों और समर्थन के लिए धन्यवाद! It seems like you've caught yourself in an expectational loop, while it's very commendable that you've achieved regular lucidity, and you should feel very proud, remember that this is only one aspect of the journey. I would recommend that you focus your energy into developing more logical/critical awareness during waking hours, especially during your reality checks. Equally, take time each day to contemplate/meditate on what a dream really is - a construct of the mind. Remind yourself that the only constraints in the world of dreams are your own beliefs and expectations. One way to do this is to start small, work with small acts of dream control and slowly rebuild your confidence in the fluidity and malleability of dreams. Here's a thought for you, remember that the Greek god of dreams was called Morpheus. Why? Because he had to ability to "morph" (change) into anything he wished. This should remind you that the very nature of dreams is malleability. I hope this helps. Stay lucid!
