The VW Phaeton was equipped with a 6 liter W12 engine. The same W12 used in the Audi A8 . VW Phaeton is capable of 5.8” in 0-60mph and a top speed of 179mph . Also VW Phaeton is a four wheel drive car as the Audi A8. VW Phaeton was just a cheaper version of Audi A8 !
From the moment I laid my eyes on the Volkswagen Phaeton, it's became my "bucket list" vehicle : without it, there certainly wouldn't be any Bentley GT/Continental Flying Spur and so on - good thing about it is they're less than £10,000 : nuff said!.

I disagree with you on the Kia K900 I love that the car looks normal on the outside while is luxurious on the inside. Therefore you can park it anywhere without it being bothered.
There are lots of different types of the Phaeton,some are cheaper but there are some expensive ones,this one is expensive because it has a luxury interior and a w12 engine
5:27 That's actually a Cadenza. Just thought I'd throw that out there. And the drivetrain was updated, it uses the Stinger's 3.3L V6TT now. They still offer the smooth 5.0L V8 in other countries besides the U.S. (Why!?). Also, the K9 is pretty well engineered for the price if you think about it.

That’s a cheap shot with the crossfire it looks fine. Everything else is a complete waste of time, they are already starting to disintegrate and parts impossible to get as Chrysler couldn’t afford to hoard parts when making it and smartly refuse to tool up... hopping they just dissolve away.

KIA K900....first off, ridiculously stupid name. Why not just call it KIA DOG'S BREAKFAST? Another attempt, like the Hyundai shown here, to up-sell a model by expanding the dimensions of an existing model and powering the result with the brand's largest engine. Even with only a different name this might have done better.
The Phaeton is basically a stretched Passat, The C6 Corvette is still a dope ass car viral vehicles! How dare you compare the Corvette C6 to a Hyundai Tiburon. Speaking of Hyundai, fuck that Equus! ,Chrysler should’ve done a better job in the styling department with their Crossfire, The Honqi L5 looks like Kia/ Hyundai’s piss poor attempt at making a luxury car from the 50s, and Kia’s 900whatever is just another ugly pile of shit!
From a non-car guy perspective: All the Evos & STIs, Yaris GR4, Civic Type R, VW Toureg V10, VW Corrado, Mercedes 190E Evo II (explain paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a boxy benz when a neighbour pulls up next to you in his standard W201-190E, love those cars tho)

The Hongqui(?) L5 looks like what you would have gotten if Nash had continued to refine the model they introduced in the early 50s...for another 10-15 years. Or for that matter, what you would get if you "crossed" a 60s Lincoln and a 50s Nash, then built it to a fairly high standard. IOW, that NEW(?) car looks at least 50 years old.
What is stupid is that Volkswagen also produced the cc, a dynamite looking car that was about 1/2 the price of the Phaeton...but it sure looked more expensive. The Phaeton looked too much like the "cheap" Passat, though admittedly it was bigger everywhere dimension, it just didn't LOOK more expensive than the smaller car.
First of all... What the hell is wrong with that Hyundai pronunciation. The brand name (international) should be read as “hun-day” with rhyme to “Sunday”. Second of all, where’s Tesla? It’s coincidence that this is actually my second comment on this channel and I’m speaking about how cheap Tesla’s interiors are and it’s a (in my opinion) huge mistake to not mention about this xD
Mercedes CLA. The local dealer lists those $40,000. Doesn’t look as extravagant and the interior is average imo. If someone wants the three pointed star just get a C300 from the early 2010s for $15,000 or less, much better looking cars and they’re decently reliable and far less complex than the new cars they make.
I think the mentality of people (buyers) of the car companies that made those cars feel it is cheap. Those companies like kia, hunydai & VW. Should make another company that only built expensive cars. Like Lexus - Toyota, Acura - Honda & Infinity - Nissan. Then people will take notice.
I rather like premium cars having a “cheap” look. People on the street won’t recognize you, look at you and mostly won’t care. You can then have a luxury interior with great features and comfort. Many of those cars also have great hp and torque numbers, giving it the ultimate sleeper tag! I would love pulling up to a car meet with a pantheon or something similar, opening the doors and the show off an incredible inside
VW Phaeton looks cheap, but it was not bad The Corvette C6 gets better when you have a Z06 The Crossfire is now a very good bargain to drive than the Mercedes SLK that cost immens....and the crossfire is easy to maintain, not like the Mercedes that hase a humongus numbers of engines...
The Kia K900 & Hyundai Equus were actually designed to compete against the Ssangyong Chairman which is the south Korean Mercedes Benz S class but with a much cheaper price when purchased brand new hence the use of the Hyundai and Kia marques on luxury cars...
Phaeton is understated, not cheap. Main reasons why it was a flop were the same switches such those you can basically find in all VW models and the fact that VW as a brand has never been considered luxurious. Also, VW Group has another brand which is considered luxurious - Audi. So there has not ever been any reason why should you buy luxurious Volkswagen.
More like an expensive bargain that doesn't shout RICH to attract narcissistic view than anything else.maybe after all these fine car really belong to REALLY wealthy family who has nothing to prove.nice idea though
