The VW T1 helped to rebuild Germany after the WW2. It was not useless at all. Take it as "the speaker in this video has a low education level". And he has never visited the birthplace of the car, which is NOT England.
xxX_MLG_Banana_Xxx here is the states I found a 68 coupe for $3000 all it needed was rust repair and a new interior, next time you want a American classic try looking in in America (probably the south) and ship it to where you live, it will be a long process but it will be a whole lot cheaper
Nova well it wasn't a standard coupe, rather a fastback c-code, but yes this logic still applies. However it would be very inconvenient in terms of checking the car out and going for a test drive due to the distance. Nonetheless I'm planning to bring it with me to college back to US after we restore it
Yeah, I think we all kind of figured that out from the huge letters on the side of it spelling out “PANTERA”. And in any case we were never supposed to think that it was a 308, it was just following the 308 that they did want to show us.
@Pony Emires Unite Ferrari and De Tomaso have NEVER EVER built sports cars, but EXOTIC cars. Yes, they're both sports/performance-oriented, but are still DIFFERENT. Like literally, different in EVERYTHING. That's why you DON'T call an RX-7 (for example) a supercar, but a SPORTS car, because it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to supercars (except when its performances are HEAVILY tuned). It's a pure sports car (and nothing more), except that it only looks like a GT (another type of exotic car) but that's when you draw the line.
What about Aussie muscle cars most of them are over priced eg. -HQ Monaro 70,000 + -phase 3 ford falcon 200,000+ Holden Torana A9X 100,000+ That is just to name a few
@@lukekelly5097 in brazil you cant take a step without hitting one, its everywhere, at least the 80's -2000's models , before that is kind of rare , the ones that have are mostly old guys that has it for years One day i went with my dad to a small city far away from são paulo to buy an Old Honda CG motorcycle , my father love those , and the guy had an 60's kombi , white, a little rust , his dad bought it and kept it there , i think it had 30k km , a little more
@@Gorecatto I know what your saying. Sure a fellas down the road from me has Brazilian import himself. They look almost identical to the classics. I'm talking about the Van's from the 50's to 60's. They are getting rare but as you said there's probably a good few in Brazil. Best way to put it they are expensive because they are iconic.
@@lukekelly5097 i see some 50's , 60's ones , but as i said , the people that has it, are old guys that has it for years , and they arent selling it We are strangely proud of our VW models , we have even ones designed here (at least i heard they were) like Vw Brasilia , SP1 and SP2 , and Variants (the name is literally Variant)
You have to be a non-car guy to say stuff like that..all cars are classic, beautiful, well-made and carry a part of history and provide driving pleasure and connection with car..cars are inxreasingly tehnologically andvanced so people flee to the basic where the driver has complete control over the car..if you buy a tehnologically advanced car for twenty years it will be crap full of outdated tehnology and if you buy a classic car without all that stuff it value will only go up so it's a good investment...
Well, it's simple really. It's an investment that you can have fun with. And with more people investing in them, the more the prices rise. I'd also pick 40yo 911 rathet than 10yo 911.
honda or miata is a good cars to destroy (from a beginner) when you get experiance in driving go for E36 or to the other side... 1967 camaro or 60s sting ray
Jdm guys act like they can destroy muscle cars at where they perform best, I have seen that a lot. When in reality, late 60s muscle had way less power than advertised and many ran 12s stock and 10s when barely upgraded.
CaddyPro'59 yeah muscle cars are nice, until a corner kick ins. The problem with muscle car guys is that they hate everything japanese, call it rice, even if it beats the ass out of your box drag machine
My dad bought a Porsche 911 a while ago. It’s a very old example. He left it in a garage standing still for a while bc it wasn’t worth anything. He’ll be happy to sell it for 80k now I can tell you that much!

I wouldn’t call it it “Stupidly”, but yes some of these are expensive, but, these have something that modern cars don’t or will never have; barebones practicality, character and nostalgia. How often do you see someone buying a mid’2000s car by these terms?
i tried out newer cars. got myself a '14 gt86. was fun but i realized my heart is beating for japanese youngtimer. sold the gt86 and got myself a '98 nissan 200sx s14a in a very limited edition. the german Z edition is limited to 100 black and 100 red cars. really hope the price keeps clibing like it's already doing
Ford Sierra RS was sold here in the USA as Merkur xr4Ti (through Ford's Mercury division). It had the 2.3 liter turbo engine from the Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (over 200 horsepower). It didn't sell well, and the survivors are very underappreciated here...
In Belgium,France, Netherlands, Germany; Became very expensive not so long ago (cars that ain't featured on your list). Audi Quattro Coupe, Peugeot 205 GTI,Renault R5 Turbo, Citroen Mehari,Mini Cooper 1st gen, Saab 900 Turbo Classic Convertible, Range Rover Classic, Mercedes E500,Citroen DS,Citroen SM,NSU TT,Alfa Montreal....
All of these are extremely desirable. I certainly wouldn't mind owning any of them if I could afford it. Even the VW Kombi. I guess I am not alone, that would explain the high prices.
Classic > Modern The Beetle is an excellent example of this craze as well. Early convertible beetles are well into the 6 figure mark these days. 3.0 CSL, Volvo P1800, any old V8 vantage and the 3500 gti are good examples as well.
BUGFISH Deutschland I know he does not understand why people get classic cars it’s not about the speed it’s about history and the feeling a classic car can give you
