In this video, I compared 6 brands of glucomannan powder I bought on Amazon. (post includes affiliate links)
The 6 brands were:
Konjac Foods Konjac Glucomannan Powder (amzn.to/2XfKVAW)
Nutricost Glucomannan Konjac Root Extract (amzn.to/2J1XqHD)
Best Naturals Konjac Root Glucomannan (NOT recommended due to low percentage of GM)
NOW Glucomannan Pure Powder from Konjac Root (amzn.to/2XfbCpk)
Herbal Island Glucomannan Powder (amzn.to/2XjtL5q)
MicroIngredients Organic Glucomannan Powder Form Konjac Root (NOT recommended; not real glucomannan powder)
The two brands I would definitely NOT use for shirataki noodles are Best Naturals and MicroIngredients.
The Best Naturals had too low percentage of Glucomannan, and the MicroIngredients was not 100% pure glucomannan but appears to be mostly the skins of the konjac bulb so it did not thicken at all.
As stated in the video, I will be doing some more experimenting with the brands that passed the test and get back to you with specific recipes for each brand that "passed" so you can have more options when you purchase glucomannan powder for making Homemade Shirataki noodles.
Within the next 6 to 8 weeks, I plan to launch a sweet product offer that contains a lot of new shirataki noodle recipes that are even better than the recipes I shared in the past.
