Shopify 14-Day Free Trial: www.shopify.com/?ref=chris-co...
What's going on everyone! In this video, I share with you 6 lessons learned on the journey to $5.4 million with our Print On Demand store. Somewhat of a success story!
With our POD brand, we're utilizing personalization with our products. I think this is an extremely lucrative model in 2020. Somewhat of a treatment that consumers have come to expect when ordering online.
Check out the first link (top) to see a more detailed video on how to sell personalized products. I take a beginner friendly approach with this if you're trying to sell on Shopify for the first time.The only thing we don't cover is Facebook Ads.
As for POD fulfillment centers to work with, I recommend these 3: Printful, Gooten and Printify. Timely delivery and a very broad array of products that can be customized with ease. I'd also recommend checking out suppliers on Etsy! (untapped)
High ticket products, as we also talked about in the video, is your best-friend. Cases, blankets, canvases, posters,... just about anything but a t-shirt.
If you're new to Print On Demand or just seeing it for the first time, I highly recommend the model when starting an eCommerce business! The barrier to entry is super low, great quality products and fast shipping.
If you found this video helpful, make sure to subscribe for weekly content! 👍

1) Go for more high ticket items with big profit margins 2) Go with influencer marketing that aligns with your product 3) Put in hard work during the low revenue months, from January to September, because the money is in Q4 meaning October - December 4) More email marketing to increase revenue 5? Well first off, it's "quote unquote". AND, it would have just been easier to do "free content", and people would have not even had to think about WTF you were saying!! Secondly, don't buy into all of the propaganda BS from a Shopify infomercial!! People used to have these types of infomercials on TV all the time, and people would spend thousands trying someone else's BS get rich scam!! The only people getting rich are the people taking a fools money!!

11:53 DO NOT take out a loan unless you KNOW what you're doing and have substantial experience!
@keithspieker2046
@keithspieker2046 4 года назад
Enron went broke from corruption. Businesses can fail and succeed with loans. Businesses can also fail and succeed without loans. It can be a great leveraging tool for a good product to grow faster. And it can be a poor tool to try to supplement a bad product. Your business should be able to support itself but a loan can help scale it faster. But shouldn’t be used in attempt to prove a failing product.
@AMGF815
@AMGF815 3 года назад
This is both true and false at the same time. Many very successful business founders, did not know what they were doing when they got started. In reality, part of success does involve LUCK! However, luck does often favor those who are prepared. The question is how much do you believe in yourself and your ideas? If you knew that whatever you were planning to do, was going to work for sure, you would have no problem taking out a loan, using personal or business credit cards, borrowing from friends and family, etc. Worse than taking out loans is to borrow from friends and family and not be able to pay them back. That damage can last a lifetime and can be far worse than damaging your credit which can be fixed.
@CMV314
@CMV314 3 года назад
@Reginald Holt Actually, your comment is the ignorant perspective. The OP stated "unless you know what you're doing and have substantial experience". Those are very smart words. Using your argument, someone who doesn't know that they're doing and with no experience should blindly take out a loan.

11:00 This is my favorite part of the video. So many people putting in their video titles "How I made 3 billion sales, 5 trillion in profit, and bought a private jet in 1 week with this easy trick!" which makes people think that this is a get rich quick thing. I learned that it takes alot of work, money, and time to make these things profitable. But if you pay your due's it can be done. Thanks for the video Chris!

Absolutely love your videos Chris. So much valuable insight. What's your take on launching a in house brand with our own product vs a dropship ecommerce store. My wife and I are about to launch a brand with 2 products with variations. We're learning a lot through your videos and the obvious hurdle is scale + distribution over time.
@InvolvingChris
@InvolvingChris 5 лет назад
Hey Spencer, thanks so much for this feedback! Means a lot. To answer your question, I don't think an in-house brand is a bad idea. It's something I'm looking to do with a new store next month. But- the only issue with this is ordering a bunch of inventory that might not sell. I made that mistake years ago with a phone case store and still have thousands of phone cases in my closet 😅 I'd recommend starting off with POD testing your variations, then once you dial in on whats working and potentially making iterations to your product, you can do in house.

Hey Chris!!! Love the content man. Keep it up. I was like if this was a cookie, I would want the whole box bro! LOL! Anyway, I had a question. What or how many payment processors do you use? I have considered starting POD eCommerce store but I have heard horror stories of Paypal holding money from businesses but consumers trust Paypal. How do you prevent your profits from being held or even confiscated from Paypal? Obviously not every business is doing anything shady to warrant their account funds frozen or taken.
@MarianKeller
@MarianKeller 4 года назад
You basically can't prevent PayPal from doing stupid stuff with your money. But in the bigger picture, I add those losses to their other fees, and it ups them just by about 0,5% in my case. There where only a few cases where I , probably just out of the lesser motive of revenge against particularly brazen customers, took the legal route to get the money directly from them, regardless what PayPals "buyer protection" thought of it. There are literally people who will place expensive orders to their home address, confirm reception with their own signature and then claim that they've never heard of you before and never received anything.

Great content. Thanks for the advices. I am a beginner, any recommendation about going with a store on Shopify or start selling on marketplace like Etsy, Ebay, etc. ? Also do you recommend to start with one product (POD) and target many niches or many products and target one niche ? Thanks !
@InvolvingChris
@InvolvingChris 5 лет назад
Hey Yamo, thanks so much for the feedback! Definitely go with Shopify if you are first starting. Don't go with another persons platform like Etsy, only use it for research purposes. The benefit of using Shopify is that you own all your customer data and can build your own brand, send your own traffic, etc... if you use Etsy, you are reliant on their platform which comes with tons of limitations. As for the type of store- I recommend going with a niche one! That is the ultimate goal. BUT, if you are unsure of a niche... start a general store selling different POD products. Once you narrow in on something working, you can branch off. I just don't recommend a general store over the longterm because of the lack of longevity. Let me know if you have other questions!

Maybe you have an answer for me. How can I overcome the feeling I rip people off selling online even I sell designs I would buy myself and think it's legit to sell them? I don't know what exactly holds me back but I always think I am supporting this evil corps, that are just taking people's money? What a weird question...

Hi Chris I just started selling on Amazon merch and etsy pod shirts, should I drop those and focus on shopify alone? Right now I'm a new father and have maybe 100 week for FB ads can you recommend a strategy? I want to do business for the long run but right now I just want to believe that this can work. Thank you

Love the video, one thing I would suggest is changing the title to something like how to go from 0 - 5 million on Shopify, how to is a main key word and the RU-vid algorithm will show your video to more people and with your audience retention being high your views will sky rocket

Hello Chris, I've watch lots of your videos they're really helpful! I was wondering how do you track your ads revenue and where your customers are coming from. What do you use to know all this? Is it an app or website? Also would you suggest Facebook as the best place to advertise?

I had to replay the last bit in the supermarket. That guy in your hometown is me right now. Playing it safe because I'm scared of losing money. The exact opposite of what Kiyosaki says. I've got to expand my mindset.

This is something I really want to get into but I have yet found anybody making a video on start up or product/supplier sourcing or minimal investment strategies.

Man, awesome content! Should I make a store for each niche or merge all into a big "custom items" store? I mean (example): 1 website selling yellow guy canvas 1 website selling custom name canvas OR 1 webiste selling both

Website selling both and promote one product and recomend other product it will help to sell the two product if you are dropshiping but if you have fulfilment center you have to promote both or promate as general store

Shazam dude, nice video! It popped up cause I'm interested in making a clothing brand. which i'm already doing right now. Store is setup, graphics are being made by myself and other artists. You said margins on T-shirts weren't that good. but what about other stuff like sweaters, hoodies etc.

HEY Chris. Thanks for video. How do I get started and fully learn this stuff? I have tried dropshipping for about 6 months now and I'm really struggling to make this business take off. I already have a Shopify store and would like to transition into pod

Hi Chris, great video! I have a question for you please. I am super new to ecommerce, just learning actually. There is so much different info. I just came across your video. I hear from many people to find a niche, get about 20 related products, add them to the store, and begin running ads. You talked about a few of these points, but is this the model you would suggest as a newbie? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Chris! Cheers.

Hi Chris, what do you think about eBay dropshipping with products from Aliexpress and Amazon? Do you recomend it or should i go direct to shopify stores? cause i tried to do facebook ads to bring traffic to my eBay store, but not sure if this is going to workout. Would be nice to hear from you, Thanks in advance.
