I would add Scottie Pippen trash talk to Karl Malone. G1 1997 finals, Malone has 2 free throws and couple seconds game left. Pippen came up and said "mailman doesn't deliver on Sundays". It worked. Malone did not shoot any of these 2 free throws. To this day for me this is the best trash talk ever.

You should do when trash talking does not work. For example when the purple shirt guy talked trash to d-wade in game 6 of the 2016 playoffs and we ended losing games 6 & 7 and costed my Charlotte Hornets a trip to play the raptors in the east semis

If your opponents can reduce you to tears with their words, then they should because they're trying to win and in order for that, you'll have to lose.
