Bro amazing video. Earlier this year, i had 3 major goals. First, I wanted to become as skilled in videography as I am in photography. A lot of people know me for my photography, and I wanted to expand my services and grow creatively. I've made good progress on this front and feel much more confident with my video work now. Second, I aimed to say "no" more often to avoid being overworked and overwhelmed. It's been a challenge, but I'm learning the importance of setting boundaries. Lastly, I wanted to post more of my work on Instagram, but I haven't been as consistent as I'd hoped. It's definitely an area where I need to focus more attention. Bouta lock in the rest of the year. Thank you for the encouragement!
Broski, I am absolutely rooting for you! May I suggest a couple of books I think you'll love: Slow Productivity and Atomic Habits. Saying no to many things, even if they seem good, can be hard but important in the grand scheme. There are so many hidden costs associated with commitments that it's often best to decline them. Also, use tools like email to remove yourself from on-the-spot decisions so you can think commitments through. Keep pushing, you've got this!
‘Time is very limited. It’s the only thing we cannot get back…’ That right there hit hard. Great video! Appreciate the knowledge and reminders you dropped in here 🙌👏
Love this video! Great reminder to check in on the goals you set. One thing that I learned about myself last year is that more than one goal at a time (long term or short term) is too much for me. So I set 1 goal for the year and I'm tracking. Finish strong!
Thank you! This was inspiring indeed. If you end up sharing a follow-up video at the end of the year, I’ll be reporting some measure of success on these goals in the comments!!
Great video I can definitely release. But putting God first and focusing on him should be always at the top of the list like you said. Keep going man and blessings toward your journey ✝️
Kinda a side note but I think if we do things just because we have them on our to-do list, we could end up losing the satisfaction and immense value from doing things because we want to rather as compared to doing things because it's another thing to mark off from our list. How do you think this can be combatted?
Great point! I think the first step is to be intentional about what we add to our to-do list. Ideally, if we are actively removing distractions, then our tasks should align with our goals for 2024. Personally, I’m focusing on saying no to many things, even if they seem good, because they can slow us down. There are so many hidden costs associated with commitments that it's often best to decline them. This way, we ensure that our to-do list remains meaningful and helps us stay on track. Remember, there's also a portion of discipline needed because we can't always depend on "wanting" to do things. Some things just need to get done so we leave 2024 fulfilled. Make sense?
@@tiffanyonwudinantioh yeah for sure ! Lmk if you need to connect offline and talk ! Just stumbled across your Chanel and man!!!! You’re doing some good stufffff
@@AnuEletu Thank you for the kind words. I so resonate with being distraction free for the rest of 2024. But I’ll take you up on that offer to connect more on content creation and such. I know you’re off social media though. What’s the best way to connect?
Hi , Great video! I can see the passion and effort you've put into it. If you're ever in need of a dedicated video editor to take your content to the next level, I'd love to help.
