Great informative video. I’m your neighbor…kind of. I live right across the state line in SC. Thomasville is only about an 1 1/2 away, so next time I’m up that way I’ll definitely be checking out SCB. Keep up the great work, young man.
Great video! Just my opinion, but I'd definitely put the Lil' Native ahead of the Bugout, it has come in many different styles and steels, there is something for everyone, and it is a little workhorse.
I have a large knife collection but lately have been buying smaller knives for 5th pocket. My favorite is the Benchmade Osborne 940 mini. Great review.
I think the kershaw scallop I believes the name that was an earlier version of a 5th pocket knife. Good little knife and were well made. Dunno if they're even made anymore
As a rule I carry an 85mm Victorinox Sportsman or Tourist or Swiss Buck ( Wenger ) Odyssey or a 91mm Victorinox Compact multi-tool in the 5th pocket or even a small Rough Ryder or Schrade slip joint or lock back & I always accompany such a knife with a larger single bladed flipper or lock back knife in my pocket.
If you haven't yet, check out the kizer mini sheepdog (w/out flipper). It punches way above its weight. I have others in the rotation, but 9/10 thats the knife in my 5th pocket.
Just to add to your list - my daughter carries a little Launch auto. (I wanna say its the 9) You could also throw a swiss army in there, that is more likely what I would carry, except I wear shorts pretty much year round...
I carry a Leatherman (Wave+ or Charge+) and a Fisher Space pen in that 5th pocket, that's about as useful as it gets for me. In my main pocket below that, I carry my normal pocket knife. I like your video, looks like some good options!
Pretty solid lineup of 5th pocket knives. I definitely want to pick up a Lil Native, Dragonfly 2 and Baby Banter too at some point. Love the content, just keep putting it out and you'll find your style.
I absolutely loved my dragonfly and knows it fits in that fifth pocket and you won't even know its there. Right now I'm looking at the quid because the price is right if I had the cash I'd buy a new dragonfly
Some good options for sure, but being a old fart I prefer a traditional knife for the fifth pocket. There ain't a better way to affirm curmudgeonness than to pull out a worn, well sharpened, bolstered knife with natural scales to get it done, be it making lunch or field dressing a deer.
