Giselle has trained so much since the criticism. Based on the Armageddon performances, she definitely got better! it’s just prove that idols can do it with the right amount of criticism without hate trains towards them 🤷♀️
But aespa and especially giselle did have a hate train. You can even see the girls confidence fading away around 2021-2022. Giselle even asked Karina to dance in her place at a dance relay video. But i believe that Giselle and the rest of Aespa pushed it through and decided to focus on what they could do to be the best version of themself.
I’m not a MY but I really respect aespa for being one of the few groups that actually show SO MUCH improvement and prove the haters wrong! Can’t be said for every group! Giselle’s dancing really wasn’t that great but she has become so much better now in Armageddon era!
I'm not a fan of Aespa or Giselle, but I've seen enough of their performances to say that she has shown great improvement in dancing. I think dancing is easier to improve than singing which is more important as an idol. Giselle has great vocals already from the beginning.
look i love redvelvet and i am a huge fan but the yeri critisism is based on truth and evidences, she really lacks all the skills to be an idol, she only has a pretty face and nothing else, i mean yes comparing her to wendy is crazy but lets compare her to irene, irene is also a pretty face but she works hard to improve her vocals to keep up with joy, seulgi and wendy, she is the second best dancer in the group after seulgi and she can pull a few rap lines, yeri would have been more appreciated if she was an incredible rapper or singer, if adding her to the group really added something to it, but she brought nothing, literally nothing, and i am not saying she is a horrible singer and dancer but she has only a meager talent in both departments that even with time and training and her trying to improve for all we know, still her skills are still barely noticeable, at this point i totally believe the rumors around her addition to redvelvet, becz literally the group was perfect as it was and she brought nothing remarkable to it

Giselle is essentially the worst player on a super team. People don’t compare her to other idols but to the idols they see her with because Karina and Ningning are pretty far ahead of most other 4th generation idols.

Their vocals are literally so good, even during live performances they sound angelic. Maybe next break she should go home with Yuqi and meet Yuqi's dad. Could be all she needs is a teacher that speaks Mandarin. Shuhua does just fine. Soyeon sets the standards and she helps everyone reach it. It just sucks that Cube basically forced her to do multiple jobs for them.

Giselle? I'm not really following aespa but since the first time i heard of them, i think Giselle was great and didn't lacked at all. Even her Charisma was there.

People criticized SM idols who are actually good at singing than any other groups, and there are some 4th-5th gen idols who cannot sing & still get praised.. 3rd gen idols cannot be compared to new gen idols, they didn't use backtrack most of the time. Ok, the whole thing with Giselle is that she is standing next to the 3 best idols in the game right now. NingNing is one of the best singers of her generation and Karina and Winter don´t fall much behind, also having good raps and insane visuals. Giselle kind of pales in comparison to be honest. BUT - she is a good singer and rapper. Put her in Le Sserafim or Itzy and she´d be the MAIN singer there. Put here in Twice and she´d be lead with Nayeon and Jeongyeon (Jihyo being main). So she´s the worst singer and dancer in her group, simply because of how amazing her 3 co-members are. That does NOT mean she is bad, it just shows what high standard Aespa has.

Giselle and Jisoo - they are talented idols but their group outshine them Sakura and lesserafim - being an idol for 13 years and having unstable vocals is crazy to me. Being nervous during the encore - So they know they are weak vocalists Shuhua - is an example of the company debuting someone who has no skills at the time of their debut. People are happy because she improved but lets be honest, she shouldnt debut until she got enough training. Improving after debut? Time for improving was during the training. “Rapper” is NOT just a person who can’t sing and is given this filler position. They are supposed to write their rap lyrics and deliver it with incredible quality, emotion and intensity. SM fans are a special type of people. Taemin was also apparently untalented back in the day. There are soo many other groups that have less talented non-lead singers and their fans don’t mind it. These idols work so hard and improve themselves, I’m so proud of them ❤

I personally don't agree with the ones about Jisoo and Giselle - they're just overshadowed by the other members in their group but they play their role exceptionally well. Jisoo is a good and stable singer and Gigi is a good rapper that is in vocal group. They make the best of their situations. I don't have an opinion on the Lucas guy, idk him The rest I have to agree with, especially Shuhua. In the "Fate" live performance videos, it was sad to see how her missing didn't affect the song's sound at all

If you compare them with their bandmate you may think they have no talents but among with the other groups in k-pop industry, eventhough all of them can't have the same standard of their members in singing or dancing but they're still be good enough to be in the group when you look in the big picture. all of them is visual of their groups, If you were debute from big3 company especially in SM and YG you can't be no talents for debut there's so many rivals that want their place. Shuhua's korean "problem" is a real mystery to me, how come other Chinese idols can speak perfect korean (and even sound native) she's been active in Korea by years now but she's not that fluent yet. Wayv winwin is a great example as to why SM never gives him lines in NCT projects. He just never improved whether in vocals or language. He's a slow learner.

The hate that Lucas get is crazy and wild, with people assuming everything about his scandal when it never been true when it was a gaslighting scandal and yet saying rude and disgusting things is just horrible. Lucas is talented in my opinion; I've been a fan of since I heard about NCT and Wayv. It hurts that people would go that far to say rude things about him, like yeah you may not like him but still talking about him when you don't stan him and calling him horrible names is just not it. Lucas is not a dozen, he doesn't need to impress the public or any kpop stan that doesn't like him, he clearly came back for his fans not them and he clearly made them proud and makes his fans happy. He's not going to be that certain someone that these other kpop stans want him to be. He's a human being just like every other kpop idol, if you don't like a certain kpop idol then don't focus on them and stop trying to think his fans won't defend him. Like he's been through too much and came back after 3 years. No matter what Lucas does or do, his fans will always support him no matter what he decides to do.
That is how I am with all K-POP! They are still learning some people learn slow and some others learns fast. But it doesn't mean make fun of them while they are still learning. That is what I really wish other people understand.
Honestly I am not a fan of Lucas or Sehun but if I can see than I too believe Lucas is more talented and charismatic than Sehun. I mean Lucas made his place in SuperM which is full of seniors class or you have to have multiple talent like Mark and Taeyong who can do almost all sing, rap and top dancing in SM group. On the other hand I barely heard Sehun singing and compared to Kai, Baek and Xiumin his dancing is ok.

Giselle was on the korr team, and she plays at quite a high pitch. Maybe her voice isn't as good as NingNing or Winter, but she really understands technique and how to sing. If you hate the 2nd or 3rd Vocalist because he can't sing like the main Vocalist, I think that's unreasonable. Especially in the case of members of the SM group, because SM's main vocalist is at a different level. It would be better to compare the 2nd Vocalist in SM group with the main Vocalist in another company
Sakura and Shuhua can’t sing to save their lives. Everyone is not always hating, sometimes it’s constructive criticism. They have the time to work on their talents and make them better.

Her dance skills are a bit weak- and while her vocal may be beautiful she lacks vocal ability to SOME extent(as somebody who has been singing for a few years this is just my professional opinion) I feel like she hasn’t really improved all that much despite being in the industry for so long which doesn’t necessarily make her talentless- she just lacks some idol ability(no hate at all I love her and admire her as an idol)

what are you talking about? sehun hate didn’t stem from him being compared to jin (they’re rarely ever compared in the first place). sehun is the least liked member because people think his personality is boring and compared to the other members, he lacks in just about every aspect. they’ve had this opinion about him before bts even debuted so it’s definitely not fueled by any comparisons.

I don’t really understand how the title of the video “idols with no talent” has anything to do with its content. The video lists idols who lack certain skills (for many reasons), but certainly not without talent. We as a society are completely losing understanding of the word talent, especially in the entertainment industry.
There is a YT channel called First Take that has idols sing live version of their songs. Stray kids, NCT, G-idle, XG and others have appeared and you can CLEARLY tell which ones can actually sing vs other who use the mastering processing to help their vocals.
EXO sehun is a amazing Dancer and rapper And he is a songwriter in the group. And also come up with choreography with kai. His rap skills are good. Just because you rap fast doesn't make you the best rapper That's why I like the way he and chanyeol Rap together, amazing Duo. And they talk. About you couldn't keep up in the beginning Are you kidding me He and kai Have always been the best dancers in EXO- k . When it comes to SM entertainment Groups They teach them how to do things right People just see that they look good and That's all they can do Wrong. Let's be honest. Realistically, some idols became idols only due to either their looks or connection. I'm not saying that it's true for all of the idols mentioned because I don't watch some of them, but as for the others that I am familiar with, I appreciate them for working hard and eventually improving their skills. Unfortunately, there are also those who have their skills regressed as their group became more popular.
People call sakura a dozen but not eunchae?? nah, eunchae is one of the biggest dozens in kpop. Weak in vocals and rap and mediocre in dancing, easy to replace in terms of talent.
I am a j-idol fan and I find it interesting how much k-pop fans obsess over skills. Japanese idol fans often savor the experience of watching an idol slowly get better over time. Maybe that's why I only like a little k-pop once in a while.

This is why I like Shuhua so much as someone who has been a fan of both for years. She wasn't supposed to debut actually, but because the group's leader Soyeon saw her potential she allegedly got their label to include her in the line-up and has been mentoring her since. She's got really weak language skills so her vocals haven't improved that much, but they have and Shuhua is clearly a better dancer now and finally good enough at Korean to slowly try rapping which seems to be her real power and also is in-line with the girls having stated they were originally supposed to be a hip-hop girlgroup. I mean, if we categorize Shuhua as a 'potential rapper', then the original group line up consists out of 3 rappers of which one (Yuqi) also joins the other 3 vocalist members in the line-up for 'suitable R&B vocalists'. That sounds like a pretty solid hip-hop girlgroup. (I really want them to collab with FAKY so bad. Their groups really go well together, both sound and their image with (G)I-DLE being the rare self-producing girlgroup and FAKY literally being anti-fake. I need these girls to band together and make the utimate Gold Digger VS Uh Oh blend of collabs.)
I don’t think jisoo is a bad singer. I think she’s given lines she can’t do however. She’s amazing with low notes, and very stable. Yg keeps giving her lines for rosé. Also she dances, has the charisma, she’s not the main dancer. She doesn’t need to be like lisa
There are some songs like "The happiest girl" where jisoo was given the hardest part and repeated, it's bcz she's sometimes the only member in the group who can sing that specefic part with that greatness! Just like in the happiest girl, no other member (including Rosé) was able to sing Jisoo's part in that song as good as she did.

Giselle really improved in the Armageddon era, but her vocals have been good since the beginning of the band. It's in dance that she struggles and contrasts with the other members : Karina>Winter>Ningning>......Giselle
A singer should be able to sing, a dancer should be able to dance, And a performer should be able to perform. These idols trained for all of these, and really there should be no excuse for their "lack of skills" Having a pretty face can open the door for you. But staying the the room? Thats all on their abilities n skills to make it

I mean you’re not wrong but being an idol is about connecting with fans first and foremost, not skills. It’s an industry and the people who create the groups chooses who they think can attract the most fans and that’s not always who’s the best singer etc, especially when you can get away with a lot by lip syncing etc. As long as fans buy into it there’s no incentive to change.

i agree with you. in the beginning i watched it for it's better take on all things kpop including scandals but mostly it's wholesome take on kpop amidst all the channels that were only talking about different scandals in kpop ,but nowdays this channel only talks about the scandals and this fuels the hate these idols are getting. sad really
the video talking about talent and you talking about singing Anyway, Jin is a great singer and is the only member of BTS who can reach very high notes and even adapt his voice according to the rhythm of the song, you just have a prejudice formed about some members and can't see the obvious and Well, it's also not the jin's fault that the netziens created a list of mostly women to judge what is singing or not, what is talent or not. Jin is doing great without their input and even if he was on the list he would still be doing great. You guys have to stop giving importance to what these people say and treat their opinions as if they were "experienced critics"

The main job of an idol is to sing and it’s my personal opinion from the music that I have heard that Jin is very weak vocally. That doesn’t mean I have prejudice towards him. I don’t think you know what the word prejudice means. I’m also not a Kpop Stan so I’m not mad at Jin doing well. Like good for him. I’m glad he’s doing well. This is just my personal opinion and I think there are plenty of male Kpop idols that people criticize as having weak skills and this video could have mentioned more of them that’s all. It’s not like this one video is the official news source on how all netizens feel lol.
jisoo has the voice that I constantly put on loop while listening to blackpink's songs....she's got a unique voice and immense talent when it comes to music...also she's good at acting too so....
Jisoo IS talented and she's not bad in any aspect, especially in singing, you can't consider JISOO a bad singer when there are countless idols who ACTUALLY can't sing, especially in 4th/5th generation, Topic ends there, any other opinion is invalid.
this is a bad argument. i don't think she's a bad singer, but they always give her notes that she can't hit, sound unhealthy, nasally, and obviously should be for rose which is why ppl think she can't sing. but the argument saying that there are ppl who are worse isn't a good one. cuz yea you can be better than those who aren't good but that doesn't make you that much better. you get me?

@@WG_MC_CR bro it’s okay to admit it. While she ain’t an AWFUL singer, she’s undeniably one of the weakest vocalists and performers of her generation. Inconsistent vocals, stiff dancing. She’s hard-working, sweet, charming and beautiful? Not to mention [rich &] POPULAR, so this won’t affect her all that much.
@@siddhartharya1750 This is true in other musical industries but kpop is characterized as a musical genre defined by audiovisual characteristic so dancing still matter. And even if it can be considered as less important it is still a skill and an art

I love Sakura so much but bffr, the "defence" is just people making up excuses for her.... Yes a lot of the hate and comments are really getting out of hand but you'd think if someone has been doing the same job for over 12 years they would be great right? like her vocals should be good by now? I'm not a singer so I cant really speak on how one would improve their vocals but we have seen countless examples.... Taemin is a big one, Wonyoung, Yujin, Lisa, Miyeon
