Sign #1 - Permanent Behavior Changes
So, if you were speaking to your ex daily and all of a sudden it stops and spying on your ex on Facebook maybe they liked some things online and because of the break up they’re no longer doing things like that. After the break up you may find your ex is on a pendulum swing from one extreme behavior to another. What you need to look for in an ex who is over you for good their behavior will be consistent. If they do not go back to how they used to do things regarding communication with your family friends and you. How they remain uninterested after the break up that’s a bad sign.
Sign #2 - Ignoring You For 66 Days In A Row
Have you ever wondered to yourself how long it takes to make or break a habit?
A simple search on google will tell you something like 21 days, but it’s actually 66 days where you can form or break a habit. So, when we explain to clients that they need to do a No Contact straight after the break up and we recommend that you don’t speak to your ex for a maximum of 45 days. If you reach out to your ex and they ignore you for 66 days they will be out of the habit of talking to you. If you don’t speak to your ex, for average 30 days that’s ok because it’s still within that 66 day rule. So, when was the last time you spoke to your ex?
Sign #3 - They Have Been With Someone Else For More Than 8 months
Not so long ago I did a video about rebounds and how long they last, now on average a rebound relationship will last anywhere between 4 to 6 months. Now anything that is over the 8 month mark is where you will find that your ex is getting over you and moving on with this new person.
Sign #4 - They Take All Of Their Things Back
We all know that the item exchange is the stereotypical interaction you are bound to have with your ex after the break up. Now what we find is that an ex will sometimes hold on to something of yours or they’ll leave something behind that is an excuse for another meet up. Where if they take all things and give all your items back they are making sure there is not a reason to meet up again.
Sign #5 - Shallow Conversations
Not all conversations are going to have an in-depth conversation, but when we’re talking with an ex not all conversations are going to be like that. When you’re looking at situations where an ex is over it and doesn’t want to deal with you anymore, doesn’t want a relationship with you anymore you will find that shallow conversations become consistent. When you're texting your ex and they're giving you one-word answers, not responding quickly or at all.
Sign #6 - Their Words And Actions Align
I am a big believer in how people’s words and actions need to align. I can’t tell you how many people I have worked with that exes have said things in the heat of the moment said things, such as I don’t love you anymore, we are never getting back together. Only for their actions to prove they didn’t mean those words. What matters most is a personas actions, what they do. If their actions align with their words. If their words and actions done align, their actions tend to show what they are really thinkikng.
