For this one it's important that you (as the masculine's partner) be secure in yourself & level headed. One of my biggest signs (and this only comes when youre more committed, not just flirting or first dating) but he'll hand his phone to you if you ask to see it....not because you're actually going to look at everything or search for things to fight about (bc that's really an invasion of privacy) but because he doesn't have anything to hide & is already communicating with you about important issues 🙂

I think this video is super helpful, both for realizing that "he's just not that into you", but also for realizing that he IS, particularly when you're dating one of the no-emotion-talk specimens. When my bf and I started dating, I used to wonder why I felt so secure and sure that he liked me and was all in even though he never said it and wasn't doing any of the "romcom courting behaviors" like buying flowers or sweet talking or singing underneath my window at night. :D Turns out he ticked all the boxes on this list and I must have subconsciously felt it.

Well, we knew about one another in high jr. & sr high school a long time ago, exchanging glances. Asked for my number at class reunion. I took his, waiting 10 days. Yes. Been seeing each other a few months. Now he’s invited me to Super Bowl Sunday party at a close friends couple’s home w/30 people to meet. I’m very deeply touched & excited. We are in 60’s, but life does not end there. He is Avoidance type, me a bit anxious. This will be fun!

Men may have different goals at different ages, but it honestly doesn’t change how they act when they want a relationship. I’ve found it’s us women giving older men a pass and expecting them to have “baggage” that causes older men to try to get by with a lot of BS. My guy and I started out as friends and he openly said he was too set in his ways and too busy for a relationship. Later he asked me out on dates. Eventually the topic was revisited. But I was honest with myself and him. I cannot move forward and be intimate and everything a girlfriend is without being his girlfriend. We had not been intimate, although there was a lot of kissing. I could tell he was not sure what his answer was. We didn’t talk over the weekend, but that Monday he said he wanted to make me happy and to respect what I wanted. It’s funny how he suddenly has time and wants a relationship. I believe the biggest factors in relationships, is finding a man that truly respects you, not letting him make excuses, and standing by what really makes you happy. Too many times we give a guy the gift of being his girlfriend without ever requiring to be a boyfriend.

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more kind hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men.

The man I have been seeing for 6 weeks now has done all but #1. Although it has been a short time and we may be older than some others on here. We are both 54. We both have 2 grown daughters and it has been 2 years since his divorce after 26yrs of marriage and it has been 2 years since my last relationship of 6 years. Thanks Mat I tend to watch these now for the flood of old happy memories but turned sad for awhile but you say so many old funny memories for me and well if it wasnt for you I wouldnt of meet that diamond and helped me to create those funny moments.especially when I get the uh ha moments and the ooops is that how that happened and I start laughing about it and then it hits the realisation how I ended up with the first moC kids ooops haha. That part about the blender I could help but burst out laughing it made me think of something that David used to do before he passed but the silly thing forgot to shut the door and woke me anyway haha. Thanks I needed these. Mat whats with men doing the whole 10 year plan half way through a first date all about? you tell us not to do it but the guy I'm now with and yes I am 5 weeks away from being his wife and couldn't be happier dispite this little flaw because I over looked it because I found the splitting resemblance in personality like I adored with my first diamond and well he was also like a little school boy when I first met him like my first diamond but I agreed to a first date because I loved it and it made me smile but when I first meet him the first date was going well then half way through he started the whole 5 and 10 year plan and started to ask me mine but like I told him I don't plan ahead I take a second by second and not day by day. Well 3 years later and well I still get the butterflies like I used to get with the first but what's with the 5 and 20 year life plan or the resume as you called it on a first date. Would you call it a red flag or keep over looking it

hmmmm ok red flag, Now you have me concerned. What if he's protective but also plays like a school boy or does the most random things at the most random of times. Like pick a flower because it reminded him of me or sees a rock in strange shapes and will bring it home and say he thought of me or he's known to send random messages or riddled or even memes at the most strangest of times doesn't matter if it's day or night and it's always even I least expect it. Well if you have a spare few hours on the 30th let me know we will be at the barr mansion there in Austin at 2 pm. I'd love to meet the one person who saved me from well to be honest more abuse and well death. But mat you're also the closest person I'll ever have to what I see as family.

Those are very interesting signs. I was so guarded from being hurt in past relationships that in my last relationship I missed those signs. We dated for roughly a year. Just as I felt myself opening up and letting myself trust him, he did an about face. He said he wanted to date other women. He was already on dating sites. I really liked him.

He doesn't , have a big family, his parents pass away but he wants to get to know my family. His only child, he planned everything for that I am his Queen, soulmate, his everything, & he would take bullets for me when I'm in danger. It's sweet, but at the same time, I feel like that only happens in movies. Sometime I just amazed hearing all he wants to plan for us in the future.
