Wow, you make some really great points. Unfortunately the the water that is used for the reverse osmosis actually goes down the drain. Also, apparently it’s been determined that a five stage reverse as mimosas is necessary to really deliver. Excellent water quality and no, I did not test the water going in and coming out of it, which is a great idea. The stage however, is very intriguing, adding calcium, magnesium and other minerals to the water which improves flavor and has health benefits. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.

Thanks. The explanation of the different filters is helpful. Did you skip over the part about how to connect the supply lines to the source? And how to connect the drain line to the main?

@@JosephHunstad Thank you. Yes you showed how and where to connect the supply line and drain to the unit. But you seemed to have skipped over how to connect the other end, how to connect the supply and drain to the main supply line and the drain.

OK now I understand your question so the supply line has to come from a water source. So you can either tie into the side of an existing waterline with a water connector. You can buy one of those at Lowe’s or other stores, but it has to connect with the main waterline or you can put an in-line. T . But for the drainage, you’ve got to get into the drain line and actually pierce into it and the kit comes with a device to do that so you’ll be all set with that. Thanks. Joe.

Hey Joe.. this was interesting.. But I was wondering why so many filters.. even a salt water water maker doesn't have as many.. Just curious. Wait 2 gallons waisted to one used.. that doesn't sound to smart to me.. unless of course that 2 gal. goes back to your water heater for showers, toilets and the like.. you should have explained that a bit more because it doesn't make sense to me.. Plus you should have tried the water at the end and given us a rating of your water now or your water measured against bottled water.. Well carry on my friend.. I like your ideas and the fact that you explore things like this for our benefit

Hi Joe. Greetings. Thank you for the good explanation. I have a question that I can't find an answer to. Why do the tubs split after the 5th stage and not after the 6th? I connected my RO differently, all the six stages one after the other and after the 6th it goes to the tank and the tap. May be the minerals in the tank are not a good idea?

OK, there is a reason for that because after the fifth stage water needs to go into directions one to the preserve tank that holds all the Raul water that’s been made and then when the tap is turned on the arrow water in the tank needs to reverse and go through the final filter, which delivers the Calcium, magnesium sodium potassium, etc. to the final drinking water.
