I have been part of the aD community since mid January and have done STAS, TA and a few other courses as well as watching the free videos and listening to the free podcasts. It's been life changing for both my reactive rescue dog and for me too. A huge thank you Tom, Lauren and the whole aD team. Firstly, a huge thank you for your free videos. I have been a member of AD for nearly 2 years. My rescue springer is my NBN dog. Totally adorable at home, but no recall in the wild. She was obviously bred as a hunt dog. I only give her off lead walks with a trainer ( whom she loves) and a couple of other people and dogs. Now she walks with us most of the time, checking in every few minutes. Yesterday she went off , put up a wild boar ( I live in S France) made it run and immediately returned to me. No command given. ( she’s wearing a tracker so I could see ; straight line out, straight line back). How on earth do I train recall with a dog whose inbred instinct is that strong. ? I can’t give her to a specialist trainer here as their methods are not kind. She’s great on games, she will stop on command ( at home) even when highly excited. In town she is perfect. AD has been a fabulous help and taught me the fun of dog training, but what now. ? A huge thank you for all you have taught me so far.

My border collie Lucy and I rreally enjoyed the STAS and the free videos. She was so shy and now she is happier and more confident, a work in progress but we are enjjoying the ride.
