One of my most-loved Aurelius quotes: "Remember that man lives only in the present, in this fleeting instant; all the rest of his life is either past and gone, or not yet revealed."
Wow, that quote is so powerful It's amazing how it captures the essence of living in the moment Marcus Aurelius was truly wise Thank you for sharing this gem

I was in stress in those dark days quit job, broken up, didn't find any light in my way of life. Coincidently, I watched your video, listened to it because I love British accent and I've been learning English then I realized this channel like my teacher -it took me back to the right way, shown for me what I have to do. After one month quitting my previous job (which I didn't like and it took 12-14hours/day ) finnally I found the new job which I really enjoy it🙂. Thank for your effort to make these videos. Hope you and your team have a good health to make lots of precious videos to heal people like me. 🎉❤❤❤
"Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one." - Marcus Aurelius As a reader of "7 Habits of Highly Virtuous Stoics," I've realized that true wisdom comes from taking action, not just debating theory. This book has given me the tools to cultivate daily habits that align with my values and help me become the best version of myself.
The google will quickly censor this question: Why are RU-vid comments packed with circle-jerking sock puppets? Obvious, as are the countermeasures--but the google wants fake "engagement", the better to sell clueless ads.
@Nadia rogmati Absolutely. Taking the steps, digging deeper to see our reflections in the sadness that they must feel. Long walks are helping me greatly.
❤❤❤ obviously hats off to Marcus Aurelius- such a great person but i would also like to appreciate and say that i know this person deserves something great and he is definitely going to be the something exceptional for upcoming generations not only doing grt for his life but making other peoples thought to something beautiful👏👏... Wow! Fulfilling our purpose by contributing to world’s evolution...We have come to being from utter nothingness that we may work for the betterment of the world and live together in concord and harmony.
I have to say that i have started to learn about philosophy trough yours videos, and than i found a lot of other chanells on youtube, but I still watch yours, i have started to enjoy life watching these videos. They are kind of life couch to me. Good job.
One of my favorite Stoic scholar who has changed my life immensely. I think there is a need to make a whole series based on the life of Marcus Aurelius
I cannot get control of my mind. I am working on it. I just want to say I just completed 2 years in therapy and got more out of this 20 minute video than all that time spent with a councilor. Thanks for this. Neither ignore or escape unwanted thoughts…recognize them and allow them to pass without emotion, action or judgment. This is my way forward.
What’s really awesome about Marcus is his journal “Meditations” wasn’t *meant* to be shared… he ordered his journals to be burned upon his death. Wisely, his acolytes realized the importance of the writings and preserved them for future generations. Marcus himself would likely feel a certain way about his private thoughts being so widely shared. Sorry, but thank you MA 🙏🏼
I love how as soon as mindfulness and focus are mentioned, a commercial is thrown in our face that interrupts the entire thought process 😂 oh the irony
Great, I'm just going to have yet another coffee and then I will make the most of my morning. Seriously, this is very good stuff and very useful to me, especially about getting the work out of the way on the morning so you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon.. Obvious but true.
"If The happiness of life depends on the quality of your thoughts" why would one ever think of Negative Visualizations? Especially early in the morning upon waking up where there should be a fresh start and a new beginning? I Believe we can have very little struggle if we visualize that there is a smoothness and easeness of goals we achieve through Postitive Visualizations right? Just a thought though✌️✌️✌️
0:36... "Aurelius shares..." I have to comment on this. He doesn't "share" anything. This book that is called "the Meditations", is a publish work of Marcus' personal journal. In all seriousness, he would be mortified to learn that his privacy was being invaded. He shared his journal with no one.
Nah I don't think Marcus Aurelius would be ashamed because he teaches about not being ashamed, especially when this only helps people. He didn't share his journal with anyone because he was a king, and his personal writings might have been used in some way against him.
One of my favorite sayings from Aurelius is, "Remember that man lives only in the present, in this fleeting instant; all the rest of his life is either past and gone, or not yet revealed."
Marcus lived before YT & the comments section existed. Its where I waste time² ... I start by wasting time watching videos, then multiply the effect by missing most of the video by scrolling comments. Maybe its just wasting timeX2 and not wasting time² but I dont have time to ponder that right now.
"Nothing can happen to any man which is not human accident, nor to an ox which is not according to the nature of an ox, nor to a vine which is not according to the nature of the vine, nor to the stone that is not proper to a stone. If then there happens to each thing both which is usual and natural, why shoul you complain? For the common nature brings nothing which may be unnatural for you.." Marcus Aurelius
This guy was something else. The ruler of the strongest human civilization on earth at the time was a stocist. These people were really living life, what we've become is a disgrace. .
Great stuff! But you have a typo/ grammar mishap in the title. You want the phrase "EVERY DAY" . ( As in, "I wear shoes every day.") The word you chose, "everyday", means commonly used, happening daily. (E.g., His shoes aren't your everyday footwear.)
👀 Watching '6 Ways to Make Everyday Your Best Day - Marcus Aurelius’ Daily Routine Stoicism' made me question everything. If you're ready to challenge the status quo, you'll find my channel eye-opening.
"Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life." How might incorporating these six ways into your daily routine enhance your overall well-being and satisfaction with life?
Too bad, this recording is spoiled by distracting background music 😮 and recording itself is distorted by boosted bass. 👎 Narration, tone of voce, accent of course the message, are all excellent and deserve better treatment.
I don't see how stoicism isnt laughed upon the 2nd grandfather of stoicism died from laughter,I'd say it's much easier to control that emotion than physical pain. Guarantee these dudes lived lavish lives imagine you were a slave back then and you had syphilis. Dude did nothing to help society at all. Dude wasn't born in a dumpster or born with no limbs. Don't link social media and emotions to realistic results.also where are the comments. Bro was not born or raised in a 3rd world country. This is a pure western ideal. Sorry I was a bit rude I know people are different but this IDEAL lifestyle is not realistic. Most people sin so fast without a thought at least the ones who live by this mindset aren't the bad ones just a bit stuck up.
You can bet if these men were doing any of the major child care, they would not have been able to philosophize all these high ideals. I am ASTONISHED by the lack of women ever being mentioned in any of these youtube sites and their esteemed discourses. TERRIBLE. Its' as if the female sex didn't even exist.
If you make yourself a routine then you are actively fighting the very essence of life! Life is like water you move and adapt to what is in front of you in the moment! I would never listen to a guy that raised a son who was considered one of the biggest tyrants to ever have lived
