Important subject most people do not talk about. It can wear on your soul.

You're absolutely right, and your words have touched on the heart of why we created this video. Estrangement can be a heavy burden to bear, often carried in silence. It's our hope that by shedding light on this topic, we can help lift some of that weight. It's okay to talk about it, to seek help, and to lean on others. You're not alone on this journey 💗

I want to be loved for who I AM !! I LOVE MY PARENTS, AND CHILDREN AND EXTENDED FAMILY UNCONDITIONALLY, why cant i be loved unconditionally, like i was by my gtandparents before they passed ??
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement 18 дней назад
It's completely natural to want to be loved unconditionally, just as you love your family. Grandparents often have a special way of showing unconditional love, and it's understandable to miss that. Remember, love can be expressed in different ways by different people. Sometimes, communicating your feelings and needs can help others understand how to support and love you in the way you desire. You're deserving of love just as you are! ❤️

This lady CLEARLY isn't educated in Narcissist abuse. Some of those parents have even gone as far as attempting to murder their child in their rage fits. Please educate yourself before you talk to someone about repairing relationship with a toxic family member.
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement Месяц назад
Thank you for highlighting this crucial topic. Narcissistic abuse is undeniably serious and demands careful attention, but it's important to recognize that not all family estrangements arise from such dynamics. Toxic relationships come in many forms, and ensuring safety and well-being should always be the top priority. ❤️ Family relationships are often intricate and multifaceted, with numerous factors influencing them. Our video aims to provide general guidance that can be applied to a variety of situations. It's vital for everyone to consider their unique circumstances and seek professional advice when needed.

I fought stage 4 cancer utterly alone. I'm sure some of it was from the stress of grieving over them. . At this point, I don't care about reconnecting. Anybody who is that cold and heartless is no longer allowed access to me or my life. The next time there will be contact is when the State Police go and tell them I've expired. I tried hard to figure out what to do with my body after I pass... but I've decided... that's not really my problem now, is it? As next of kin those 2 can figure it out on their own. PS I'm leaving everything to somebody I can trust to care for my very old loyal dog. And clearly that is NOT my kids
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement 3 месяца назад
I'm really sorry to hear that! But it's completely valid to prioritize your peace and well-being. You deserve support, understanding, and the freedom to make decisions that best suit your needs and wishes. ❤️ Please feel free to reach out if you need to talk

@MandaPanda038 I feel exactly the same. I also hold the belief that people should enjoy their money while they are here. None of us are entitled to an inheritance from what they have earned in their lifetime. I never think about inheritance. I don't care.

What if you don’t want to reconnect to avoid them becoming estranged again? These last two years have been a struggle for me emotionally but I am not willing to make amends only to experience abandonment again.
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement 10 дней назад
It's completely understandable to feel hesitant about reconnecting, especially after experiencing emotional struggles. Protecting your heart is important, and it's okay to take your time. Maybe consider small, gradual steps towards rebuilding trust, if and when you're ready. It's about what feels right for you, and it's okay to prioritize your emotional well-being. 💙

BOUNDARIES! Do children have respect for their parents BOUNDARIES???
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement 4 месяца назад
Absolutely, boundaries are crucial in any relationship, including between parents and children. Establishing respect for boundaries helps foster healthy, respectful interactions. By setting clear expectations and consistently communicating about personal limits, parents can guide their children towards understanding the importance of mutual respect ❤️

Truly significant for me. I just received a letter from my adult adopted daughter today, that she no longer wants me in her life and that I respectfully do not try to contact her now, later, or in the future. She has violently abused me on more than one occasion and when I brought that up to her therapist in a joint conversation, she chose to never speak to me again. She has regained her relationship with her once estranged father to gain financial support, and has discontinued contact with me for over a year. I am heartbroken, but know I won't be able to do anything to make this a resolvable situation.

Oh, my heart truly goes out to you during this profoundly difficult time. Receiving such news can feel like a storm cloud has parked itself right above your head, casting shadows on everything. It's a heavy weight to bear, especially when it comes from someone so integral to your life. It takes immense courage to navigate the turbulent waters of complex family dynamics, particularly when they involve hurt from those we hold dear. While the path to resolution might seem obscured now, give yourself permission to grieve, heal, and find peace in the knowledge that you've approached this situation with grace and dignity. In these moments, leaning on friends, hobbies, or even exploring new interests can offer solace. Sending you a world of support and understanding. 🌟

I wanted to reply to this! I was adopted and I left my family. I live in regret now, but I know I was acting out my fears and feelings of not being understood on how much hurt I felt, being abandoned. I took it out on my adoptive parents. I also have learned that this is extremely common❤ If you want any support, I'm happy to answer any questions, coming from an adopted person.

Hi! As someone who is nearing retirement (57) but also the daughter of a very codependent enmeshed parent, this video can be looked at from both angles for me. Unhealthy, unlearned boundaries can be devastating to past and future generations. Unrecognizable because it is how you learned life as a child and do not know anything different. Somewhere deep within our soul, we know something is wrong until that final button is pushed and it becomes a last straw causing estrangement. But as a mature loving adult, the desire to reconnect and have relations with a parent is there. We just have to recognize how fruitful it will be after trying to resolve conflicts. Adult children also need to be their true and authentic self. Thank you for posting this video.

Those deep-rooted dynamics can be tough to untangle, but your desire to reconnect and find a healthier path is admirable. And szaying true to yourself while navigating these waters is so important. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us 💕

It sounds like you're going through a lot. Sometimes, when we're deeply emotional, it can be tough for others to understand. It might be worth reflecting on what happened and seeing if there's anything you could do differently. Understanding both sides can really help in mending relationships. Maybe talking to someone outside the situation, like a therapist, could give you some clarity and support. Take care of yourself! 🌻

I am the grandmother who has always supported this adult child but since she has been told to have NO CONTACT WITH ANYONE FROM YOUR PAST I am searching for a way to reach out and let her know I still SUPPORT HER UNCONDITIONALLY; however, she has left home without a cell phone or any means of contacting her. ARE THERE ANY WEBSITES WHERE I CAN SEND AN ANONYMOUS MESSAGE LETTING HER KNOW I AM STILL HERE TO SUPPORT HER?

I'm glad you found value in the video. Life has a way of changing when we least expect it, and sometimes, those changes involve relationships with our loved ones. It's evident that you care deeply for your daughter and granddaughter. It can be tough when communication diminishes, but remember, every relationship ebbs and flows. Sometimes, giving space and understanding can be the most loving act. And while it may take time, I believe that love always finds its way back. In the meantime, continue to embrace your own journey and interests. Perhaps even find a new hobby or revisit an old one. You never know where these paths may lead, and they could provide exciting opportunities to connect with new people or even reconnect with your daughter. 💗

Your relationship with your adult child is your grade as a parent.
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement 29 дней назад
While a relationship with an adult child can reflect aspects of parenting, it's important to remember that it's not the sole measure of success. Every relationship is unique, influenced by many factors beyond just parenting. Life experiences, individual personalities, and circumstances all play a role. Parenting is a journey, and sometimes the most important thing is the love and effort you put in along the way. 🌟 And it goes both ways...
