Very useful video, thanks for that. I'm currently building a floorboard which will have 2 expression pedals, one with a switch, and 2 seperate switches. I'm installing a 4 position rotary switch on it to select from 4 options. Expression pedal with inbuilt switch, 2 expression pedals, 2nd expression pedal with 1 external switch and lastly 2 external switches. I'm using a tweaked Boss 500H pedal and also converted an old Cry Baby into an expression pedal with switch. The Cry Baby is particularly useful for waa sounds as you would imagine. So your video was really informative about what I can do with this once it's all built up. 👍
Dude, just from your videos, I may save up for the stomp. You're convincing me more and more with every video you make. My Firehawk FX is starting to get a little outdated and I love how you are able to run 2 different paths with that thing.
Always love your videos brother! Hope you have a blessed day! I’ve been controlling my H9 with my expression on my stomp through command center. It’s been a game changer for sure. I use a Y cable for 2 expressions and found out that the tip still works on the mini Dunlop so I use an old line 6 exp pedal for my second exp.
This was interesting, because I’ve honestly never understood what people meant by “expression pedal”. I’ve always used volumes for swells, but that’s about it.
Hello! I’m curious on your opinion on passive vs active volume pedals. I see yours in a Dunlop which I’m pretty sure is passive. Do you notice any tone suck? I short, do you prefer active or passive volume pedals for your set up? I’m running an hx effects. Thanks a bunch! Great video!

I don't make a lot of use of "gain" variations. Is this expression application better than using snapshots with increasing gain or even adding different gain pedals? I suppose you could be going for different types of distortion/fuzz and want to eliminate one or add just specific pedals. Still seems this could be done with the exp pedal?
How do you set the expression pedal to have a minimum or maximum value? For like I'd like the full heel position to set about 10% instead of the default 0?
Sorry but before I go any further into this video; - why do YT creators find it necessary to make their faces more of a priority than the subject matter? You have used half of the screen to be sure we see you (when it is absolutely unnecessary) leaving only half of an already blurred screen to see what is going with the edit screen...enough said - it is nice of you to provide this info. New subscriber here. I have that Dunlop Mini Volume/Exp pedal but I can never get ti to work right for expression? I have a TRS cable etc, and the internal switch set to EXP, but no go. Any tips? Great video by the way!
XH Stomp Is there a high frequency cut off pedal in the market? Is use synthesizers and use the cut off a lot when doing buildup or lowering the intensity in a song
Hi, I have an EP-1 Mission pedal (NOT the L6), and if I use a TS or TRS cable I can't use tha full range of the pedal! when I step halfway down on the pedal, the range shown on helix goes from 0 to 50%, and when I continue to step toe down then the range showing in Helix goes back from 50 to 0%... So heel down is 0%, then it goes to 50% and then back to 0%?! When I pull the jack cable halfway out of the pedal, then the wah pedal works properly from 0 to 100% in Helix. Any help how I can solve my problem? It's the regular Mission EP1 not the L6 and does not matter if I use TS or TRS jack cable.
That Preset with the split for electric and acoustic is GENIUS. I never would have thought of that. Is that included in your packs or would I need to create it on my own. That may be the thing that gets me to pull the trigger on buying the expanse pack. Let me know!!! You rock!!!!!
Heyy , I really enjoying your videos about hx stomp , my question is I have amp1 bluguitar and I’m about to get hx stomp for using as cab sim and also some delay and reverb , have you ever tried amp1 bluguitar or do you have any idea of if they’re match fine ?
I have no idea how u did that silent loop thing. No Matt how I try to it always either starts or stops in the wrong place. I know what u mean when it starts abruptly
