It's nice to see the different approaches other youtubers use to make the same parts.

Great video, thanks. You could change those hex bolts on your collet chuck for button head cap screws to make it a bit less of a snagging hazard.

Have you seen the Verdict T8 rapid range of lever indicators. They have a swivel mounting spigot that fits directly into a drill chuck and can be pivoted on this mounting spigot & swung to any radius up to 80mm+. The bonus is that the indicator body is always aligned with the spindle. Ideal on bridgeport type machines, perfect for small bores. Used without any extra mounting parts and therefore extremely rigid. Often the stylus is around the same place as the tip of the drill to be used, which can help if the head is not quite square. Also great on a centre lathe. Simply pop into a drill chuck mounted in the tailstock with the dial uppermost. Drop the indicator into bores onto diameters & against faces. No clamps, blocks, magnets etc.. A very versatile, rigid & super quick dti for most everyday situations.

May be use sunken alen bolts to mount the plate that holds the collet chuck? Than nothing sticks out and you can't easily hurt yourself. Just a suggestion. Nice job by the way!

Hi, I like the range of your machine shop technology - everything from a CNC router to an old shaper ! I need to learn about CNC routers, it looks about 10 times faster than using a rotary table, to make the arm. Cheers Paul (Darfield)

Gday Kevin, thanks for the shout out, much appreciated, your parts look fantastic, I really like the way your explained the cad design and how to do it, great idea using the router the make the arm, can you tell me you got your scotch brite wheel on your polisher from, I think I need one of those, great idea mate, thank you

Very cool that you're making one too Kevin - I was hoping you would :-). Can't wait to see the end result. CNC is a great idea for the curved arm. Can you anodise the part for hard-wearing? cheers, Craig

Hi Kevin an interesting intro into the cad drawing set up for the CNC router, then you accurately turn swivel pins on a old school manual lathe. Your missing a CNC lathe to compliment you other CNC machines lol. Great result on the parts so far. What spindle bore does your lathe have, it looks (brill) massive. Re: stickers, I don't know your contact information? Tony

Hi Tony, yes would love a CNC lathe and CNC mill. My lathe is a Lantaine(Taiwanese). These were rebadged in NZ and sold as Bramley. Its a nice machine and the spindle bores 35mm. Re: stickers.....flick me an email to cnckiwi2006@gmail.com and we'll swap details. Regards Kevin
