60 Minute Dynamic Vinyasa Flow - Stay open, receptive and strong

This is a 60 minute level 2 dynamic vinyasa flow focussed on opening the chest, freeing your shoulders and building core strength to help you feel open, receptive and strong at the very core of your body. Class begins with a mellow warm up for your shoulders, chest and spine, followed by a creative sun salutation series, including some accessible core work, moving up and down the mat. The standing series of postures are flowing and familiar, heart opening and invigorating. We then move back down to the floor to complete the practice with more core work, twists and a final forward fold. It's sweaty but totally doable. I did it ;-) And you'll feel strong and centred when you're done. Hope you enjoy!

Mission accompliished! Feeling open, alert and strong. Thank you for another terrific flow, Fiona. I did one of the 30-min Refresh and Restore sequences yesterday, which was perfect for a morning when I was sleepy and stiff. Today I was ready for a longer, more active and stronger practice and fortunately, this one popped up when I opened RU-vid. :)

Lol!!! You’re funny! I could have been quite satisfied with one set at the end there too! Gosh, just watching hourly updates here in Australia. We have lock down coming our way. As I’m unable to teach in studio at the moment, I was planning on taking off to hike and bike this week but may not be possible now. Fingers crossed we keep our personalities, patience, humour and health :-) thanks for connecting :-)

Oh that was a killer, I had to laugh out loud during "...perhaps you feel something now in your..." - definitely, I'd have to be a stone not to! Thank you so much for this lesson, so wunderful, demanding & concentrating always! (...thought quite often of Ralphie, dropping into DownwardDog with his "yeah sure, so what about it?!"-air, whereas it takes a bit to find this Asana restful, for humans...☺️)

Hi Fiona, I stumbled upon your videos when looking for pleasant yoga videos to unwind after long days at the office. Firstly: I am super happy that I found a channel that provides high quality instructions, good sound quality and fitting music! Props to you guys for this!!! That you for allowing me to do yoga in a flexible timeframe! Unfortunately I seem to tense up in the hip flexors (psoas Major and probably also the tensor fascia latae) due to sitting all day long. I was wondering if you could create and upload a yoga routine that focuses on stretching these areas as well as working on the effects of office work? That would be awesome!

Hey there :-) thanks for your great feedback! You are not alone. I have many requests for classes to restore movement and release congestion in the hips. I can definitely accommodate you and thanks for the request! Thank you so much for this great class!... I enjoyed a lot. This is typically the kind of session I like, by starting to awake progressively breath and body and then slowly and gradually growing in strengh. Considered difficult postures, such as high lunge for example, are made easilier and, again, sequences are innovative and well thinked. I could feel the benefit of chest opening ... and I also reminded myself that I had abdominal muscles! ... ouch! ... 😂 Thank you again for this session. I'm definitely a fan!..😀

Took your suggestion and tried this core flow class tonight...Where do I buy the new core I need for this class :P ? Very nice flow as usual...Perhaps dhanurasana (bow (half or full)) or camel could be great additions to release the lower back towards the end?

Lol! Hopefully not writing the comment from your grave. Core is always tough at the end :-) bridge is about as far as I bend back, but have many requests for more backbends... perhaps I can just suggest. I do have a back bending heart opening class that slowly builds to wheel you might like :-) thanks for your great feedback 🙏

Vikram Srinivasan so kind! We don’t have a website, just Instagram. Our studio is closed - has been since March due to Covid. We are in mount martha, Victoria on the Mornington peninsula. Hopefully, we can open before the end of the year. Our updates and class locations will be updated on instagram.
