What you don’t see on the field is the many different velocities qbs use. Different speeds, having the point of the ball hit different angles. Also knowing which area of a particular receiver is the best place for him to catch it. So much detail goes into being a qb. The best qbs March right down the field because the cb or safety anticipate a certain detail in the pass but the qb purposely fools him with something he wasn’t anticipating. Brady has every defender studied. He study’s everything. Insane layers of detail that no other qb will ever match.

@@kevn99 Thats because you’ve probably never played football. I played receiver for a FBS bowl team. Interviewer is doing everything wrong. His technique and intuition is terrible. @Middle Aged Giraffe I believe some of those defenses were overrated. When you have a QB who can get you the lead and get TDs whenever needed and run the offense to chew up clock, you can afford to do the Patriots way of "bend but don't break" and shorten the game by forcing opposing offenses to dink and dunk and waste time. By shortening the games that way, obviously you really limit the amount of points you give up. The "Patriot way" doesn't work if you don't have a top-tier guy like Brady keeping the offense fully on track. Things go sideways quick when all of a sudden the other team has the lead and you don't have a defense that can get a lot of stops quickly. Also so many of those running games weren't that great, but they had 3-4 decent backs they could keep fresh and take advantage of some lighter boxes.

Brady has one of the most underrated arms ever. Every year someone says his arm strength is below average, then he guns it for 30 on a line with perfect accuracy. He's still got one of the top ten arms in the league.
@TopofUS
@TopofUS 3 года назад
Wrong
@JoeDMurphy
@JoeDMurphy 2 года назад
The value of arm strength is blown out of proportion. Montana and Young couldn't throw the ball further than 60 yards. Chad Pennington once threw a playoff touchdown 60 yards with a torn rotator cuff, yet the media tried to sell his arm as the reason why a team of 53 didn't win a superbowl. The NFL league range seems to be between 50 & 80 yards. As Tom Brady says here, you don't really throw it much beyond 50-55 yards.

Props to the reporter for no drops. The majority of us would’ve had some drops considering your playing catch with the GOAT. Mistakes are easily made under great circumstances.

Is it pretty good to not be a quarterback but be able to throw 65 yards?

My second favorite qb talking about my absolute favorite qb. Montana was an artist, a genius, an athlete.

Lee, my man, Tom holds every single qb record of all time (i'm exaggerating but it's damn close)......and completely destroys Montana in all of them. Montana had a GREAT team and RICE his whole career. Brady had............

CLICKBAIT. The video's Title eluded that he was going to be actually throwing the ball for distance, not getting asked 1 time about how far he can throw and saying "probably 70-75 yards"....

I'm surprised he said the farthest you throw in a game is 50-55 yards. I've seen countless 60-65 yard throws, 50 isn't really that far for a QB.
