Yep, that's the sound alright. And it originally was constructed on tape too! I read there was a vacuum cleaner in reverse somewhere in there. Only The BBC could foster such unusual talent.
Oh, something I can be a little nerdy about. Toughton had echo at times, which was odd. The 3rd sound effect is when the HADS (Hostile Action Displacement System, it just teleports away and doesn't reappear until it's safe, only ever used once, a shame) was introduced, and is the sound when the TARDIS rematerializes after being attacked. The materialize sound we all know doesn't appear until either Troughton's last story or Jon Pertwee's era, I can't remember exactly at this moment. Before then we just got the dematerialize sound and the TARDIS appearing. By the troughton era they started messing with the idea of a sound for it landing so we a got a number of different sounds. I kinda like, made it a bit more organic.
