I was already missing the sports ignorant people saying '0 reps'. Educate yourself before judging because you'll look stupid otherwise, like this person. She's not trying to do strict pullups, which are the only ones you probably know. She's doing butterfly pullups and the goal of them are different than the strict ones.

​@@orlandocarrillo7132 I think you're the one that's stupid here. You don't even need to be educated to figure out that THIS type of form is not good at all. It's not only unbenificial, it's also dangerous. There is a lack of mind muscle connection because of the use of momentum, it's a way to fuck your shoulders up, muscle growth is induced, and it's just completely unsafe. Yeah you could say there are "benefits," but there's more risks. It's not worth it.

@@Anonymous-jf2gy why would they want to "inflate" if everyone competes under the same rules? look at your comment, I´m sure even you can see it makes no sense. Buddy, not everyone exercises to look like the incredible Hulk and be the strongest man in the world. This is a Butterfly Pullup, not a Strict Pullup, crossfit has both, it just depends what to goal of the workout is.

@@orlandocarrillo7132 Inflate not relative to other competitors but to make the individual numbers seem more impressive from the perspective of CrossFit as an organisation. Kipping pull ups serve zero purpose. They are not a good strength movement nor anything else. The only crossover possible is maybe for gymnastics but even that’s a stretch

Using momentum isn't strength training. It's like swinging a weight around thinking it will build muscle. You are moving the weight but you earn no gains. There's the easy way then there's the right way which will reward you in the long run for more later.

Those would not count on a Marine PFT. Try just pulling yourself up with your muscle strength. This is called kipping and is not a proper pull up. Actually this is extreme kipping.
