*Holistic Remedies like Grandma made *How to make money and live this life

I encapsulate ginger and turmeric to take everyday. I make kombucha to drink, which I live trying different flavors. I make kimchi and ferment many veggies. I make homemade bone broth for sipping in the afternoon or base for soups. I make fire cider which is great for colds, flus and allergies. I forage mushrooms and many medicinal plants to make tinctures, tea blends and such. AND just to encourage anyone who doesn’t live in the country… I live in an apartment! But, I take advantage of woods and friends land. They know to call me and let me know they have an abundance of this and that!

I like your comment about" healthy apartment living" lol People want "the farm" Or " off grid" but many dont realize the time and en energy that goes into sustainable living. They want it all NOW. @littledabwilldoya9717
@littledabwilldoya9717 2 года назад
@@marthachisnell3346 you can grow ginger in containers or in the soil. When buying ginger to grow (most any grocery store will have it in the fresh veggie section, by the herbs),look for rhizomes (roots) that have ‘eyes’ - places where you can see the root is going to put out a bud. Each of those should produce a stalk/plant, when you plant these 1 -2” above the bottom of an oval or shallow, large bowl, with 3” or so of soil or potting mix on top of it. The more eyes or buds on the ginger you buy to plant, the more plants you’ll have.😀 I suggest doing an internet search for ‘how to grow ginger’, because the size and shape of the root(s) you buy, and how you put them in the planter, will determine if you get basically one central, tall plant, or many along the original root. Good luck!👍🙏

Hi Stacy, I try to eat all of these also every day. I eat spinach every day in my smoothie or with my fresh eggs. I put my organic garlic in a jar of honey and let it ferment. Its wonderful and the garlic infused honey is great for salad dressings. I eat all organic non processed foods. I agree with all the foods you talked about. I am trying to use ginger more. I think I will try it with the other herbs in teas. It just seem to upset my stomach when I put it straight in foods. I love blueberries and I grow my own veggies and most of my fruits. I have kale all year round in my garden and also freeze it and add to soups when I make my yummy soups. I have alot of inflammation in my joints from having covid, so I am trying to really eat a good diet that keeps my inflammation down. Thanks for all the tips on eating and living healthy! 💞🙋‍♀️🙏

For anyone looking for a recipe, it’s spelled tzatziki, although we always eyeball and taste test the ingredients based on the size of the cucumber that we use. If you know you’ll have leftovers, definitely squeeze the cucumber after it’s grated so you don’t end up with watery yogurt.

I sauté Leeks, Collard greens, Kale and parsley with lots of Ghee and Garlic every morning and serve my two poached eggs on top. So delicious. Sometimes I add mushrooms to the sauté pan. No need for bread with those poached eggs then. Great info here and I try to do just as you do. Maybe I need more Lemon Balm though. Will grow some this summer. Very cute home off grid. What a great life.

@jsccrna1744
@jsccrna1744 2 года назад
@Mundus Inversus -don't need a dehydrator. slow low oven on a cookie sheet, outside on a spare screen in the summer, slice very thin, dry, crumble or crush. I dry sweet potato and backyard dandelion leaves,(otherwise lost to composting). I eat them, feed them to my dogs, rabbits, fish all winter.

Stacey & Doug, you’re both an inspiration to all of us who are more mindful in knowing that we ate remembering what we grew up on in eating; good healthy food directly from the ground; our own backyard gardens, local farmer supplies & small neighborhood markets. You’re both an inspiration in this. And citing to newcomers to let food be thy medicine & medicine be thy food; “Hippocrates” is the most advantageous reminder in all. Thank you!🌺

Also turmeric for ant-inflamatory (it's super powerful for that), cayenne pepper (hotter the better, but taken in capsule form) for the cardio-vasular system, apple cider vinegar to balance the body's acidity, help reduce inflamation, and promote good gut health, and lemmon juice for a myriad of benefits.

Albert Head- you are sooo right about the turmeric! I know because when I had heavy metal poisoning my nutritionist had me on turmeric gel caps for the inflammation I had. Boy did that stuff work!!! Its a great one for inflammation folks.

Thank you Stacy! Brilliant choices indeed. I love each and every one of your choices. I just started using Ghee, and love it. I used to use EVOO, forever. Then one day I spoke to my cousin who happens to be a very knowledgeable man, a world traveler and he shared with me that I must be careful buying Olive Oil from Italy because most often you are not getting pure Olive Oil. He has made many trips to Italy and learned that it's very rare to get pure Italian Olive Oil. Greek Olive Oil or Olive Oil from Spain is best. I found it to be very expensive and hence, I did some reading on Ghee as a healthful alternative. I absolutely love it and it's more affordable as well....so thank you for confirming that I'm doing the best for my health. I thank God every day because I am healthy, and I try to use wisdom and discernment when choosing what I should eat and drink. Just letting you know how much we appreciate all your hard work!

My mother fed me eggs everyday in the 1950s through the 1960s. Also, she made a Puerto Rican raw egg shake. She fixed the raw egg with a 🇵🇷 Rican nonalcoholic malt beverage. The organic eggs gave the beverage fullness in texture. And, she fed me a teaspoon of COD liver oil. My father raised chickens
