I appreciate your honesty and I’m glad that you choose to share with us, the good times and the bad times. That’s one of the main reasons I keep watching your channel! You keep it real and show us that you’re human, just like the rest of us! Fuck fake folks! I absolutely love everything thing you do for mental health, especially men’s mental health and depression. I’m currently on the mend from an accident and I have a lot of time on my hands. I can see how fast and easily depression can creep in. Your channel and your attitude really help lift my spirits! Thank you and don’t ever change! The show goes on….!🤘🏼😎
Hi Danny, lost both my parents, brother dropped me, so I feel lonely but seeing your vlogs gives me the courage to soldier on : get on my Harley and ride in my beautiful country South Africa… plus a meet and made a few real friends in the biker community. Respect Danni, you inspired much more people than you can imagine.
So sorry here this I've also lost both my parents huge hole in our hearts ❤️ but time will ease the pain especially when got videos like bogans that are true emotions and aren't fake it helps me tremendously, and hope does you also, Danny's the best, feel like us bogan fans are connected in ways , but from here in the USA 😎👍
Riding solo you learn a lot about yourself, but 2up is a whole lot safer and comforting in times of uncertainty... David Parry is gold to ride with and you guys make an awesome duo.. I reckon you must had been missing him just a tad by this stage in your trip .. another great vid Danny..
It's not uncomfortable to watch Danny. You're a top bloke who was tired out and made a mistake with the back tyre. At this stage you had been on the road solid for nearly 2 months. We all make mistakes out of sheer exhaustion. Never stop showing your emotions Danny. I cannot imagine how many people you are helping. Me included. Stay safe out there. 🙂
@@jeffbrokenshire8932 your brother, not you? I wouldn't have so much to say then if so. get out and do something with your life, wear your heart on your sleeve. then let us all know how you feel when a prick that's probably still living with his mum slags you off for it.
@@jeffbrokenshire8932 your brother sounds like a true motorcyclist. I bet he wore proper riding gear as well instead of riding bare feet, no gloves, no jacket. I feel for Danny though, one-day if he keeps riding he'll go down the road and rip bark off everywhere. Then the tears will be plentiful.
I read all these supportive comments and scratch my head, as an avid motorcyclist with many many km under my belt, it baffles me the way you ride! Your hard on the equipment that guides your journey safely, and are determined to put on these high km day in and day out, all we ever see is you on the bike. Is this just so you can say you rode mexico? How about slow down, enjoy the ride and be kind to the bike...I cant imagine why you keep riding if your always tired, bitchy and not enjoying it!
This has been one of the best Vlogs I have seen, somebody actually living their REAL LIFE on camera is what is needed now days. All we usually see are people who edited out everything, their short comings, their mistakes and their problems just make show a make believe world. I rather see vids like this, this is amazing brother and I hope I can start riding abroad like you soon, please keep up the great work and good fight, journey well my friend.
The most honest, real, and heartbreaking moto-vlog I've ever seen. This was dangerous, but the reality check means that you will absolutely learn from this ... we all will!
Thanks again to Daniel for his honesty and bravery. It takes real balls to post videos showing what you can and also what you shouldn’t do. I don’t believe I would have the courage to post on RU-vid me losing my shit. From riding to Alaska without rain gear to neglecting basic rules of long distance solo riding (tires, tires) are lessons all riders need to remember. As I have stated her before, I have 115,000 miles on my 2016 Harley, with a 43 day 12,700 ride in 2019. Being alone on the ride when things turn to crap is a very lonely scary experience. Again, Mr. Hays, thank you for showing us your journey, warts and all.
Yeah, Noraly is the real deal. She's prepared, knowledgable, competent and her vlogs are punctuated with laughter. She may not be any more mechanically inclined than Danny, but she keeps track of maintenance requirements before they become issues. Watching these two vlogs show the extreme opposites in attitude and commitment. I'm empathetic to the self-imposed stress Danny creates, but he builds his own mental boogymen when it comes to travel in Mexico.
Nothing but respect for you Danny. I appreciate how raw and real you are. You let us witness not just the high moments, but your pain and sorrow as well. Please don't pay any attention to some of the ridiculous comments. These keyboard warriors have no clue what it feels like to be alone, tired, hungry, wet, uncomfortable, stressed, and simply maxed out. You are tough as nails and doing what 99.99% of people would never dare. Thank you Danny!
Your fear and raw emotion is what is keeping you alive. You don't hide it and instead display it. That is growth. I love what I see on these adventures. The highs, the lows, the beautiful scenery, and a REAL man riding his motorbike all over the world. I'm routing for you.
If no one has told you lately I just really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these vlogs Hollywood could learn a few things. Top notch captivated ever second that's saying something
Cheers mate. You're alright. You're fine. If I know you earlier I would have told you that you can fit car tyre on your bike too. And it runs really well. More grip on wet road. Fantastic on the dry.
It’s not uncomfortable. You got complacent and did not constantly check that your bike was rideable for the distance despite being scared of your surroundings. Also had a chance to change your back tyre when you had that cracked front rim but you didn’t. Mitigated by extreme time away from home but I guess it is a lesson you have learnt and never forget. A tip from Collin which you also forgot was to constantly check the pressure constantly, especially so when it is worn.
@@richw8342 the only consideration here was to ensure his tyres and brakes were useable and didn't he mention right at the start that the key thought was to ensure he survives so why place himself in that dicey situation? He was right, nobody to blame but himself.
Poor old Bogan , not very mechanically minded . The first tyre was a sports touring Tyre, and would have been fine. The one they swapped it for was a Michelin Power RS full sports tyre ... oh well.
Yea first tyre was the better option by far. After riding for 3 years I can't believe how little he knows about his bike or bikes in general. Pseudo rider
Danny, I'm sure you have figured it out. You have been surrounded by miracles. You overlooked one of them and didn't get to take advantage of it, that would be the gentleman with the motorcycle shop that helped you service your bike, you noticed your tire that day and you should have stopped and let him outfit you with new shoes right there. To me that was your biggest mistake. Secondly, you should have paid the boys at the tire shop what their service to you was worth. Thirdly, all of the rain that you experienced was a miracle. It was the rain and the rain alone that kept that tire cool and kept you upright. Good luck on the rest of it Danny, never give up!
Danny you've never edited the videos to show only the good times, you show what life is like after 60 days on the road. Riding all those miles on a tyre that could blow at any time would mess with anyone. This is why i love this channel, he keeps it real, doesn't hide his emotions, for me he's a real man, I'm an ex soldier, british infantry, i know what it's like to be totally fucked, in dangerous situations but you never quit, you keep going. You have the best channel, the best content and always keep it real, never apologise for anything or anyone when it comes to your emotions.
When you were in the military did you go into operations half ass with everything did organized? I doubt it. He set himself up for every failure you saw in these videos!
@@veiledallegory Yep. No basic checks before riding off into potentially dangerous areas where rescue is difficult at best. Never has proper wet weather gear, lackadaisical with protective gear, riding no hands putting gloves on, taking gloves off... then he cries and carries on into the void rather than staying in a relatively safe town and hiring a truck to get him and his bike to a place where it can be properly repaired. But then would that make good RU-vid? Probably not.
Whenever your feeling down and lonely Danny, just remember there are thousands of us who are wishing we were you, doing what you do, wishing we were with you and be willing to help if we can, your living our dreams for us, never quit, never surrender!
Whilst I love your vlogs I sometimes wonder why you don't just take a step back from the situation and choose a better way through. It makes for addictive viewing but I'd rather see you 'live the dream' than see you exhausted, run down, depressed and riding close to death from making stupid choices. Also... checking your tyres isn't kicking them to see if they're flat. Buy a tread depth checking tool AND pressure checker. If you spend money on fancy hotel rooms to recover and replace your oil religiously why not your tyres, the parts that are taking all the punishment from crap roads and your riding style? If you were long distance walking would wearing your boots through to your socks help you walk faster and further? 🤔
Hate to see you struggle. It's human nature that when you're seriously fatigued you focus on the negative. I really enjoy how authentic you are, its rare these days. Always remember yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery; Ride and live today brother!
If you could find a nearby country with almost no language barrier and lots of HD dealers, you would be able to have a nice stress free motorcycle ride.
Danny! I am addicted to your vlogs. I have just recently discovered you and have been binge watching them ever since. You are so good at making them entertaining. You usually have me in stitches. But this particular vlog I am crying with you. Good on you Danny keep up the good work. Your bike is a true soldier it never gives up hey 😊
Danny Get a Grip. Have Colin order you a tire from somewhere and get it shipped overnight. Take a day or two off and enjoy the trip. I know it's too late but look into overnighting parts Worldwide...I.E. Fed Ex or UPS. (For future rides) Like you mentioned...in a bind the value ("I don't care what it costs.") is greatly increased...I've been there...on a tire with no tread left...but not in Mexico and not near as far from my destination. Kudos to you for sticking it out. I've been in Mexico by myself and forced to drive (in my van) at night...the sound effects you edit in are appropriate because at night you don't know what's ahead and because of the reputation etc...it is unnerving and without rest I can understand you coming undone. But sometimes the best thing to do is take a break and gather your thoughts. Next time have a tire sent ahead to Cancun because you know you'll need it. Last year on the way home from Sturgis I knew my tire was going bald...the last 1000km it was showing threads. I could have had it changed at any number of places here in the US but out of titewad pockets refused until I could get home and do it myself. Theres got to be somewhere in Cancun you can forward a tire to for a pickup willcall on arrival. Cheers!
Your videos are amazing. The fact that you are real and show your emotions. The good times, fun times and the bad times. It is what makes them amazing and keeps it real. Never stop being who you are. You are wonderful. Much love from North Idaho
Might be silly but I’ve always changed tires in pairs (Frt and Rear). You gave that rear tire a right thrashing in Utah and the thought of you going all that distance back to Phoenix to replace that front rim and tire was the opportunity to change the rear tire as well. Food for thought Boss. The Show Must Go On!👍
I don't I usually have to change my front every other time I change my rear. If not just waisting good tires and if I can I'll take your fronts you get ride of
There are lots of comments about not replacing the rear tyre, well, even a blind man has 20/20 vision in hindsight. There was plenty of life left in that tyre, the puncture could have happened in any tyre. Instead of thinking that it was a mistake not to replace the tyre, think of it as 'shit happens', and that is what M$B is all about. Danny has the courage to go where others wont, I'm not talking about riding in Mexico or other dubious countries, that is no big deal, lots of people do that, I'm talking about going off road, down that rocky track or along the beach for miles, all in the pursuit of 'shit happens', and long may it last, I love it.
Danny, this might be your best vlog ever. I am a follower since day one. The raw emotion and true feelings are the human condition. We all have them. But only a rare few men are BRAVE enough to expose those emotions to strangers. I commend you. I was literally on the edge of my seat worried for you with that tire. I know you get a lot of comments and probably don’t see most. But I just wanted to say, thank you, to a warrior. Truly inspiring my friend. God bless
Hello Danny. I liked very much this episode, you showed a lot of character under that tremendous stress. I hope you will continue riding safe. God bless you.
I have to admit that I’m disturbed when he is riding in the city to find the tire and comments that he is wearing safety gear. Just after that, we see Daniel get off his bike with only a helmet and wearing a tee shirt and shorts! Hardly safety gear or signs of a guy worried about his rear tire blowing.
We are all with you bro! remember you are doing something that 99% of the world could only dream of doing. Enjoyed the ride! I remembered that to late in my ride today to Calgary.
I’m absolutely thankful that you didn’t exit out the emotional times Danny. Millions of us sit in a room in tears for some reason, feeling alone and destitute. You are an inspiration to me, thank you.
Gratitude.... It's easy stop being selfish and thinking about yourself.... Life's not so bad if you manage that selfishness is behind depression. I went through 5 years of suicidal depression from a traumatic brain injury after being assaulted and after practicing gratitude every day and realizing how lucky and blessed I was to be alive and to be functioning and be able to live somewhere that isn't 3rd world..... The depression went away easy,
Your a true legend mate! Been watching you for ages! You make me laugh! You make me hit every emotion in the handbook! Don’t listen to the haters mate, anyone can sit on the fence and make comments! That’s not balls! Balls is what you are doing my man! Keep up the good work and keep your chin up! I’ve seen you get through almost anything. Your strongest competition will allways be yourself! I too struggle with life on and off. And know this, your will to survive gives me motivation and really helps! We don’t ever give up! 👍👍👍
its okay Danny, you'll ge okay. get a grip on that amazing bike of yours and battle through it together. Thats the dream, your okay and lots of love to you🥰
Hey lad, a very old mate dropped in to visit me at home today. We're both dancing with the Reaper via cancer. We'll beat it. With the lowest of lows, and I've had some real lows, comes the highest of highs, and if i can share a positive, its simply keep on keeping on. The high isn't too far around the corner. You help keep us blokes that are temporarily off the road entertained mate, and I'll talk for everyone and express our thanks. Good on you Danny, keep it up. Been at the g'long hospital a bit over the past few years, and my lovely wife takes me to g-harley and the antique shop next door for a tyre kick every visit. I'll run into you one day and shake your hand. Well done Danny, keep it up. 👍
What an adventure… I’ve been watching episode after episode. Those bad roads, heavy extra weight on a already heavy bike goes hard on back tire. With those sudden and brutal speed bumps and pot holes I’d keep my both hands on handle bars at all times and wear a full face helmet. I went down 2014 and live with non stop pain still today… That’s an impressive fight you have against the Universe! ML&R/Heikki, Stockholm Sweden
You know what I like about you Danny, you show it all, the reality of solo travelling or with Parry or Vee, the highs the lows, the mistakes, everything is all out in the wind, no bullshite and it's great to see you are as vulnerable as the rest of us, all my best wishes Danny for keeping it all real !
Going to be honest mate, I cheered a bit when you said you were considering continuing the Vlog. The rawness of this video was awesome and true resilience shown 👍 kudos to you brother
Over inflation will tear up a tire in no time. When you see it wearing in the center like that simply take some air out of the tire to widen the tracking surface and the tire will go a lot further. You were riding on the width of a nickel when the pattern should be the width of a dollar bill.
@@billbob9021 With 55 years under my belt riding motorcycles, my suggestion is definitely NOT under inflation. That wee inflation number stamped on the side of the tire is the maximum inflation a tire can handle safely before it is in danger of exploding. It is NOT the proper inflation the tire should be inflated to. Tire inflation specs are dictated by the weight of the bike and rider combined, not by the tire manufacturer.
Hi Peter Smith . What does your message mean . Lunch packed , thanks for coming out and whatever else it was . I have no idea what you are talking about...
You must be doing something right Danny. I'm watching from Japan and just got 30 SECONDS OF ADS from Mcdonalds and Rakuten (big online and shop seller) here before your video started. Rock on.
I'm new to this channel, having only subscribed a month or two ago. What can I say, that hasn't already been said, it's brilliant, I am hooked. Well done MDB your content is 🔥.
Danny that was nuts, your not shy to show your true emotion and thats why we all love you so much. That would have been terrifying given your last blowout. So glad you got to your destination safely.Get your Fireblade tyre fitted safely and soldier on.Stay safe we are all behind you.
Perseverance balls grit and determination you got in spades Danny, you ripped the the Arse out of failure and never give up person, there is always a way you just have to make it happen
G'day Danny as the saying goes what lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us, keep fighting Danny you never give up keep being strong.
I can't believe how many believe this stuff. Actually I can as most people are genuine and sincere so believe what they see or what they're told. Danny is a showman and after 4 vlogs dedicated to the "drama" of a rear tyre that should be pretty apparent to others too
Earlier you called him out as being some sort of loser and not normal, now you say it's all fake. You're a very confused little man aren't you? Do you understand Danny makes these for free and uploads them for free? Why don't you go back to drinking beer and eating corn chips and watching the footy?
@@zombiebirdieking3041 i never said he was a loser and never said he wasn't normal. He doesn't behave normally which is different. Did you struggle at school with basic comprehension of phrases and interpretation of the English language. It appears so
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but Google translate on your phone can help immensely with the language barrier I use it at work for different people who don't speak English. You can type in detail exactly what you want and translate it to any language.
LMAO, he so scared that his tires going to blow that he riding 1 handed in a t-shirt, shorts & no gloves. Danny should be a wrestler as fake as this **** is.
What a performance ...That should win you an Oscar ... Here in your hometown the cops carry a side arm so whats new ?. Stop whining FS Danny ... Boo Hoo ...
