This is a prototype of our 6000 mAh 2S 7.4v LiPo receiver battery pack that fits in the HPI Baja battery box. Its dimensions are 98x25x44mm. It has dual power plugs and a balance plug. It weighs 240g. Coming soon. See www.KillerRC.com for more info.

It's fine sitting in the car, but use the Storage mode on your charger to put the battery at about half charge when not being used for a week or two. You don't want a battery to sit fully charged for a long time, especially in a real hot environment.

Killer RC now has a taller battery box that easily fits this battery without any trimming.

doesn't look like much else will fit in there. also don't you need a bec? considering 7.4 lipo is usualy around 8v...

If you use high voltage servos, which several manufacturers are making, then 8v is no worry. Many guys run straight lipos without a regulator. But this is up to you. I don't want to be responsible if you burn up your regular 6v servos.

What prevents over discharging of the lipo and damaging it?

HI will your 7200mah lipo pack fit in the rcmk XCR 1200 buggy or will only the 6000mah pack fit it. thanks

will this LiPo battery make your stock servo perform faster I'm very interested in upgrading the battery anyway and I do need a couple of better steering servos I have a 5T and a 5B

You will need servos that can work on 7.4 volt which means that you need to upgrade your servos. Or you can use a bec. I use a lipo with 7.4 v servos which is healthier. These are the two options the only thing u shouldn't do is using a lipo with your stock set up.

How do I extend the antenna coming out of the receiver? If I do this mod, it will be too short.

Most new radios with super short antennas do not need to extend outside of the radio box. They work just as well with the wire still inside the box. Give it a try.
