Locomotives 6029 and 4001 combined at the 2024 Thirlmere Festival of Steam to run excursion trains between Thirlmere and Picton. This video is made up of a number of clips recorded on Saturday 18 May recording their trips.
The first half of the video shows 4001 leading their train, with 6029 at the rear, down the grade down the grade to Picton.
At Picton the excursion train was passed by SSR Maldon Grain with freshly repainted C Class locomotive C506 and C507 and 49 class locomotive 4917 in charge.
The second half of the video covers the trip up the grade from Picton to Thirlmere with 6029 working hard in the lead and 4001 assisting in the rear.
This is a Re-Edit of my earlier video of this event to correct a gremlin that crept in during the first edit process.
