I have a 2022 velocity blue maverick hybrid xlt, and everything you said was correct. Great review. My touch screen stinks, but it's a really good all-around truck. Thanks, 4 the review
@@Er-sv5tn Awesome. Were you able to use Ford's private offer? My dealer hasn't been the best on keeping me informed. Hope your new ride meets your expectations. Enjoy
@@mikedropstech I was referring to Ford's transition private offer for the Maverick buyers that had their truck build rolled from a '22 to '23. $2750 rebate for hybrids
@@GGantt-i4p You people are annoying. Stick with a regular truck if thats what you want, many of us will go for the maverick. Also many people want the versatility of a truck that they can use as their daily vehicle. The maverick is perfect for that.
If you want a Maverick Hybrid and are not already on the list to get one, that you ordered a long time ago, sorry. You will have to wait.............a.............very......long...time. I ordered 10-9-21 and just last week got notified it is scheduled for production in April, 533 days after I ordered it.
The week of 2/15 is. Probably take a week to build. No clue on time that it will arrive at the dealership. This was the message I received from my dealer, I ordered sept on the 2nd day it opened. So what can I make of that, the whole thing is strange.
😂😱 I know I know. But I’ve been turned to the dark side and have driven trucks as my daily vehicle for over 10 years now 🤣! Can’t imaging driving anything else 😱
I have a 22 Maverick AWD 4ktow 2.0 and I can tell you it’s a rock solid 34mpg highway and 30 overall. I have a friend that has a hybrid and gets 34 mpg highway and 31 overall. Both our driving is mostly countryside/highway which is probably why. In my view if 40% or more of your driving is city get the hybrid. If not get the 2.0. My 2 cents.
It does not get a sustained 60 mpg. Matter of fact the EPA just lowered its mpg rating. I can manipulate about any vehicle to read like that by zeroing out the mileage then idling down a mountain. I've done it and posted it. If you really got a sustained 60 mpg Ford would pay you $100,000 to get it back to figure out how it happened.
Pretty sure I didn’t say sustained, but interestingly did a trip today that was around 29 miles in 3pm traffic and averaged over 56mpg with a few things in the truck bed 😱!
Liked your honest review on the Maverick hybrid... average mpg much better overall than the 2.0 L. ..next review, take a drive out on the highway for a review of it's handling...
Good review,Now if dealers would stop marking prices up by thousands of dollars, And sell them as to what ford manufactures say on their sticker ……..😡😡😡😡😡
lying about the MPG is not cool! Anyone can get 60 going downhill with the wind . Thumbs down. The government has standardized ratings and its about 40mpg overall. Nice truck though, i have the same one.
Actually this is a compact pickup. Six foot beds are available on full size trucks. The reason I bought my 2022 XL hybrid was for price and milage. I bought a bed extender right away thinking I'd need it. After a year and 18,000 mi I haven't used it once and I do a lot of hauling. The only reason I have a Ram is for towing a large trailer once a month. The rest of the time it's parked while the Maverick is getting 40mpg.
@@mikedropstech The supply is way behind the demand for these. A dealership called me about a base XL hyrbid they were getting in soon with zero options and they wanted $31k for it. $7k over msrp. These trucks aren't worth that kind of markup. I want one but willing to wait for things tho settle down after 2023. Is misleading thinking you can get a Maverick for $25k right now.
Not all dealers are charging crazy markups. We bought the non hybrid last year when car prices were crazy at only 3k over sticker. I ordered the 2023 in September and got it January. At sticker, so this is a 25k maverick. That's what I paid for it.
Yes if you were able to order one in the couple days the order banks were open then you are paying msrp. That isn’t the reality for most people. It’s horrible business practices to market up these truck so much above msrp just because you weren’t able to get in on the orders soon enough and idiots are still going to pay it.
@Kevin Right. If there were no idiots willing to pay over MSRP the dealers would take the hint and back off. I ordered my 2022 XL hybrid and paid $22,500. I ordered a 23 XLT hybrid and it's $25,800.
