Crazy that the player reached the finals and didn’t know that they should be banishing DDR 1000% of the time with soul release instead of those useless lightsworns…potentially devastating cuz it could have helped the amaryllis player that the plants got banished, hidden armory for ddr back and bring back tytannial
Card destruction is a -1 (that converts in potential plus on board (dandy, for example) Morphing jar is a small body on the board (has to be taken out) and can give you huge plusses. Pro of card destruction: speed Pro of morphing jar: unexpected card, potential huge plus Cons of card destruction: technically a -1 Cons of jar: shuts off your hidden armory play Overoll I guess speed is more important
Im not an expert but i feel the sequencing and some choices of the plant player where kinda off. Like why protect card trooper if you will run into a a likely D Prison. You have not seen many monsters so holding unto the trade in and getting a draw from card trooper would be essential.
@@LegacyRetroFormats yeah but I think he could afford to relax and draw more card's instead, the milling was more risky and did not work out. If he drew instead which was a safer play instead of milling he would be so much better.
This match shows you why BW is tier 1… so autopilot. The BW player didn’t have to do much if anything in terms of serious thought in either game outside of what to dustshoot back game 1 while the Amaryllis player needs to play almost perfect and mull great just to make it any sort of g1… and that soul release exposed that BW player as another auto-pilot BW player that is out there… can’t say it’s a lack of experience either, Amaryllis is a known big deck.
He shoulda set hidden armory with the morphing jar. Literally no reason not to. If it survived a turn he gets ddr or motr. Both would be game winning potentially.
