You're welcome. I've even sold the machine and bought a z950 ho ex, but at the time info was extremely limited to come by and very frustrating. Glad it helped.
Thanks buddy, yeah I knew there would be, and there are! I think back at when I was at the dealer and asked him, and he was like, "it's a pain, you really don't need to go in there" I just knew right then and there that I doubted I'd be back at their dealership. It was more I think that he was a typical salesman and didn't know, so he didn't want to look stupid. But like many dealers here, CFMOTO is their 4th or 5th brand they sell. And because of covid, our showroom floors are drying up of machines. I also put a bit of blame on CFMOTO, because it's not even in owner's manual! But the power of RU-vid saves us again! I'm finishing up some homemade half doors for my machine, they are turning out great! I'll do a video once done, I just hate those nets they use for doors. Plus mine are removable! Thanks for watching, and keep making videos, I love watching yours!
@@ironheadbiker Here in Scandinavia, CFmoto is among 3 top sellers. They are #1 in Sweden for last 3 years, and I think nr.3 or 4th in Norway. I also think that your dealer didn't know how to open it, since I saw there is a neat trick to really get it open the right way. And it's true, there are great that people have made videos on youtube about how to do this and that, but there are still some videos that people like us should make. I have even made a video last year how to set time/clock on cforce since I had to look for help myself among others. I see my local dealer have a lot of 520's and some 600, and only a few 850 and 1000 in stock. Not sure about UTV's but there is atleast some 550 in stock. Thank you and I love watching your videos too. I'm currently working on a video about my helmet, my mount + camera gear.
Thanks. Yeah I feel CFMOTO is a small wave, but is growing to a tsunami wave slowly but surely here. People are tired of spending $25,000 for unreliable machines. But yeah tht hood, I'll tell you how alone I felt trying to figure it out. Reached out to many on RU-vid and got lame answers from "mechanics" online saying "yeah it's tricky, so be careful". I caught a glimpse online of one still in the crate, and I zoomed in and saw those rubber bung grommets, so I kinda figured it out from there. I love challenges, but like you, I'm sure, if I break down riding, help isn't usually close, or no cell service, so we better know a little bit about our machines! Back in 2004 I rode my Harley up to Alaska and back. And that was the same thing times 1,000!
@@ironheadbiker True and all brands and models have their things that is weak. A new Cfmoto is so cheap like other well known brands, and can-am doesn't have true differential lock like we have. Cool that you managed to figure it out by investigation from a image.
It kicked my butt to the point i had to research it. I couldn't get a simple answer from many "mechanics" I talked to. It's not in the damn owner's manual, and it's important to check that stuff, or to simply have access to the fuse box! I'm glad it helped, I think many people will appreciate this video. I'll continue to share as I learn.
Well you really helped me thank you. I have a squeaking noise from my left front I can't figure it out I never hit anything or abused by machine. Plus i changed my oil saturday it was not to hard to do
I know the bolt connections on the roll bars squeak, not sure if that's the squeak you're hearing. My old ranger crew was longer so it really squeaked bad
I hope that's what it is. Plus when it out it in park it likes to jump out of gear I'm not happy with that I think I'm gonna take it back being in only have 165 miles on it
I notice some times when I put mine in "park" it will roll. I wiggle the shifter a bit and then it catches. I was thinking of putting an "idiot" warning light on it so when I set the parking brake I remember to release it. I've caught myself twice driving with it on.
I could see that happening. I don't think it'd be too hard to drill them out and put a pin system in like on a race car. Anything would be easier than this.
I've been trying to refine my door design, simplify i guess. Then testing/ using it. Made some good changes, but not happy with my door latch, I think mainly cuz it's up and behind me. And then I didn't take it off around the house, so I'm having to open and close it all the time, THE VERY REASON I MADE IT REMOVABLE! Glutton for punishment I guess. My dog seat is awesome. I leave it in even when I don't have my dogs with because it acts as a better storage area.
I just put money down on one. Hows it holding up so far? All the accessories included and your videos convinced me to buy over a $9k used ranger with 4500 miles🙄. I cant wait to get it but still waiting for it to get delivered to the dealer.
Yeah loving it so far. Does everything I need it to do. No regrets so far. Seems like everything is backed up, that's why I bought mine when I did. Plus as you found out, that's driving up the used machine market. I've got about 250 miles on mine and it's great! Been redesigning my doors. I've got them now with "Lift off" hinges, so no pin to pull.
Sorry I missed your post, no rattling. I did see where 1 of the studs had been bent over, guessing that's why the dealer didn't want to get into showing me. But the rubber grommets keep it from rattling, it's a good firm fit, just awkward. No moving parts=cheaper price.
I've only had it a month, but I'm very impressed. I'll do an official video one day, but I met a buddy with a $28k polaris Northstar, besides the obvious cab, air, and heat, I had so many factory options he wish he had. Winch, side mirrors, front and rear trailer hitches, plus we being 50yr old kids, lined them up. His limiter cut him out around 60mph, my uforce hit 78mph then I ran outta room, but it's crazy power. Low range goes up to around 45mph. The wireless winch control is also nice. I have a video I explain why I bought it, and my dealer gave me the MSRP of $11,999.00 which comparably equipped with the Honda and can am I was looking at was almost half the price of them, and that's if you could get one, in these covid bs times. Plus the 4x4 is full lock, all 4 tires, not a limited slip. The rear are always locked in. So many videos of guys just loving their's and I've had comments from all over the world of people owning them and having great luck with them. The cfmoto website is a little lacking in quality, I will say tht. Just like why I posted this video, they don't even tell you how to remove the damn hood in the owner's manual, and most dealers sell Cfmoto as their 4th or 5th brand, so they can be, like mine, of limited help. But RU-vid to the rescue! Real Talk Powersports, Justin the Creator, Redneck Garage, are just a few that do countless videos on CFMOTO machines. They are the ones that convinced me to spend my hard earned cash on one. And these guys punish their machines 100x's more than I ever will or would in mine. Thanks for watching, and sorry about the long reply. Lol gift of gab
@@ironheadbiker I appreciate the response. I'm impressed. I have a I have a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 and it's a great machine, but it was almost 2x the price of yours, unfortunately for me🤯 Looking forward to a long term review!
Yeah that was one of the 2 I was looking at, the other was a can am defender. But the price plus the added features i would want just scared the hell outta me. I don't ride all the time and I just couldn't justify paying more for a side by side than I paid for my pickup. But I literally found CFMOTO the night before I went shopping, and I'm glad I did, so far. I'm just finishing up my homemade half doors. I'm happy with the results, I'll see if I can get a video up before I leave out for a week at work
BEST upgrade I ever did to my UForce1000 was when I brought it to the CanAm dealer and take whatever they gave me toward a 2021 Commander XT1000. #NoRegrets. You get what you pay for. Pay for a piece of shit, you get a piece of shit……..
Yeah mine's been great so far. It's a crap shoot with anything you buy nowadays. I don't use mine enough to warrant the price tag that comes with a can am. I was really disappointed to find can am we made in Mexico. They were my first choice with the defender pro, but the price was damn near double. I also looked hard at a kawasaki mule crew because I liked the 3yr warranty. That was only $4k more, but didn't have nearly any of the features like a winch, bigger tires and rims, ect. There are some duds in every manufacturer, and some very reliable machines also. It's always a roll of the dice, I just couldn't justify the price tag for how much I use it for.
Great videos keep em coming. Question, I’m 6’8” tall, do you think I will fit in it? I believe you are 6’4” so you can tell better than most. Thanks in advance, David
Well they're all kinda cramped, I've got size 15 boots, so that doesn't help, along with all my knee surgeries, and they don't get sore from riding. The tilt wheel helps also. There's plenty of head room with the roof. You'll definitely want to remove those stupid door screens, and I removed the side bars and made my own doors. I just measured 4" from my knee to the dash sitting, and 5-6" headroom to the roof.
@@ironheadbiker thanks brother, that means I’ll fit. It will be tight but I’ve had that all my life so nothing new. Yeah the big feet, I’m size 16 so we have a common battle. Keep the vids coming I really like yours.
I forgot to comment on Bull and Bear, love your dogs. I have two yellow labs, bo and greenlii, they keep me centered. My pups are 9 years old and go everywhere with me.
@@ironheadbiker I thought you might have said Bo, the name just fits them. Best dogs ever. I’m trying to edit my identity on RU-vid, not working so good.
Why did CF Moto go that route? My '17 800 has hinges and a latch. Thinking I'd be looking for a way to put in good old fashion hood pins, like my old hot rod.
OMG! Why on earth did CFMoto make it so difficult! I have a Uforce 500 and it has a lever that you turn and hood pops up no problem like a car hood. Why did they have to make it difficult on the 1000??
Yep, they could've spent a little more than 5 minutes designing that. I wanna try and utilize the existing wiring for blinkers, maybe just making the lower led "eyebrow" parking light as the one that blinks. Not sure yet I'm in the middle of making homemade removable half doors, that open normally, not suicide style.
@@ironheadbiker should email the company and give them a tip. I've been watching quite a few cfmoto videos and am impressed with them. I only wish they had a six hundred when I bought my midsize last year. I understand they're launching one soon tho. But only in the U.S first.
