Yup, they did a 2 for 1 deal when they first came out for locksport to help them improve their product. Quite a few improvements were made, think they were going with 2 keyways, an M1 and a Yale copy. Recently they sold to the company that makes Brinks locks and the owner of Commando is involved with that and is hoping to improve everything. I still have some of the original locks that the owner put together on the weekend, I think mine were either the first or some of the first to hit Canada. Oh, also if you pick it CCW you can remove the shackle. Their changeable shackle units dont have the anti CCW block in place.

This apparently is not a changeable core unit, I cannot rotate the key or the plug counterclockwise to remove the shackle. But thank you for the recommendation.

@@sandman_locksport Whoops that was a typo, I meant changeable shackle units. They come with a short and longer shackle so you can change between them

Get Commando Lock with the shackle guard, you have to pick it twice, once to the right, and then again to the left to fully open.

I'm still learning how to work with spool pins. sometimes the counter rotation works itself out by continue lifting the pin; sometimes it feels like if I don't help by doing the counter rotation myself I'm gonna break the pick. I learned a lot from this video, especially the thought process so thank you!

Ah yes, the lock that McNally was able to stab open with a short hook two seconds after applying tension And that's not a dig at your skill because I couldn't single pin pick it like you did to save my life--I just find it hilarious that you could've skipped that whole process if you really wanted LMAO

@@sandman_locksport I do kinda wish he'd make more long form videos to show that (the Medeco video is the only example of him demonstrating his actual skills that I know of off the top of my head). Because of his usual content, he's mainly known only for stabbing locks open with rakes, bypassing them, or bashing them open with copies of themselves LOL

@@Thesnakerox to be fair, nobody else is making videos like him and he has millions of subscribers and followers across all platforms. he figured out what works technique wise, and he learned what works to get people into the hobby. that is all that matters. i get complaints about my videos every day but nobody sees them. i delete them. it is impossible to impress everyone or educate everyone or make everyone happy. all i can do is be me, and be unique and hopefully attract the people that enjoy my content. dont expect too much from people. let them be unique.
