Commando Lock Brass Marine Padlock Picked out of the Pack 

Lovely brass Commando Lock. I actually quite like Commando Lock, despite this one not putting up much of a fight 💪 Hang around for a bonus picking too 👍😃🔐 Thanks to Jason for sending this lock 😃

Yeah this is actually one of my favorite locks that I own. I love the brass and even though it’s a laminated lock somehow you can just feel holding it that it is way higher quality.

I am sure it took longer to get that beautiful looking lock out of the package than to pick it Never seen brass lock made that way

I bought a Commando lock a while ago and it gave me some trouble the first few times I attempted it. It took me a while to realize I needed to use a thin deep hook I sanded down from the silly big SouthOrd deep hook. It was also the first lock in my collection to have a slanted top of the key way (as opposed to the convenient square box at the top of American Locks). I've also found that Sparrows' deep hook works great as well. Not the hardest thing to pick I've come across but certainly challenging enough that I'd use it to secure everything but my precious collection of gold bars and Beanie Babies. Or my bike maybe. Maybe just the bike.

I have watched a few pickers on RU-vid struggle with Comando locks and a few go really ready like the two you just picked. They carry a cool name 'Comando"! Nice out of the packet pick by the way.

That lock, the Stanley and the Ace aren't easily found in stores here, so they're online buys. Im sure of they could, they would have chose the bitting, but one who is has honed their skills over time. Ots going to be short work. Stay well and stay safe all

Commando has some really cool locks. I put em right up there with paclock as one of my favorites. Beautifully crafted.

I also love brass locks. I have an American lock that's solid brass. 5500 series i think. Also, am a fan of bead blasted finishes as well. Great video with a bonus. Cheers!

I have never felt Commandos were a tough open. A couple serrated pins and a spool. Good feedback. Paclocks give me more issues due to tensioning then are hard.

Great looking lock, the commando marine is probably my favorite laminated padlock. The one I have is a fairly easy pick.

I only pick this open 3 times. beginners luck. still training with it until I can get it down. only once a day.

It's weird you didn't really get any counter-rotation on that last pin. With that deep of a false set you would think you're in the waist of a spool. The tolerances can't be that bad for it to be slop in the core.

I have literally picked a Master lock out of the pack. The keys are still fastened. But it's just a Master lock.

I have never picked a Commando lock, HOWEVER, I would like to share with you that I HAVE gone "commando" a few times! (What can I say, I'm a sharing type of guy)

One of these days one of you guys is going to pick the lock without taking it out of the packaging ;)
